@omgbubbz because it only counts as one enchant, so you can have 2 enchantments before you reach level 100, and if combined with notched pickaxe enchantment and after lvl 100, that's essentially 4 enchants, smithing, shock, fire, and soul trap, hope this helps.

The fire enchant is super weak though - keep this in mind. Its stuck at 10 Fire damage and can't be altered by the enchanting perks. So if you want a pure Damage item, this enchant isnt as good as it seems. You're better off going with just fire as an enchant. It is a nice enchant to have on you're soul trapping weapon though no doubt, adding a little utility to it.

actually you could set it to one second and as long as you kill the enemy with that weapon then you get a soul. when it says ____ second(s) then it means from when the enemy was last hit by the weapon. :P

I have a problem with the spells/enchantments that fill soul gems, i usually carry a few grand soul gems (as well as other ones) around, and whenever i kill something (like a normal bandit), it says no sould gem large enough. It only seems to work on wolves or things with petty souls. But things with higher than petty are 'too big' even though i have grand soul gems. Anyone know whats wrong?

This enchantment also allows for another enchantment to be added on the weapon. If you have the "extra effect" perk for enchanting. So you could place fiery soul trap + fire damage or soul trap onto a weapon. Or any other enchant, but I wouldn't quite say that this is the best weapon enchant cause its just two other enchants put into one. Just my opinion. Absorb health, magicka, stamina, paralyze.

@MegustaDudz dude u need to find enchanted weapons then disenchant to get the enchant itself to use on other items, example: you find 2 rings, 1 with 20 hp 1 with 30 hp.

just disenchant the one with 20 hp at the enchantment table in dragonsreach at the mage. the rings will give the same enchant so dont think a better ring leads a better enchant

@Xacksar It's probably because he has armour or apparel that increases his one handed damage, or because he has poured perk points into the one handed category. I have Orcish Gauntlets of Extreme Wielding which increase my one handed power by 35% and a Necklace of Major Wielding which increases the power of the attack by 25%, so my Legendary Daedric Sword does 97 damage, instead of 50-60.

1. He has probably purchased stronger attacks in the "one handed tree"

2. When upgrading armor/weapons if you drink a bunch of blacksmiths potions and wear a necklace, ring, gloves and armor with an improve blacksmith enchant on it you can get ridiculously high levels (remember potions dont stack unless they are different strength, so dont drink a bunch of improve by 40%).

Little tip, cuz it sounds like you don't know, soul steal will always work. Even if you have it set at the lowest, one second, you will get the soul every time as long as you get the killing blow. I enchanted my deadric warhammer with one second soul steal and I get a soul with every single kill I get. Its amazing because, with a one second limit, you get over one thousand uses. Its because the effect of the weapon is scripted to be applied before the damage.

@nachideku soul trap should be 1, it allways works... assuming you deliver the last hit. If you put it to 10, you can hit the enemy once and if he dies by someone else's sword 5 seconds later, you would still get the soul, but since I work alone I prefer 1 to have more hits.

@nachideku When you disenchant things. It doesnt match the exact details of the thing you've disenchanted. For example if you disenchant something which does 5 fire damage. You learn how to enchant things with fire damage. Not just 5 fire damage. Enchanting skill and the size of the soul gem add more power to the enchantment. At the moment with around 50 enchanting I can bring elemental damage to around 14 points.

if you set it so that if they die within 1 second to fill a soul gem, its within 1 second for each hit so theoreticly, you dont need to make it more than one second. its not a glitch, its an exploit.

@jcoco525 go to a blacksmith who sells weapons n armor, search their stuff, if any bow or melee weap does soul steal. eg "banishing" or "expelling" buy it.. and you will easily make your money back.. if its not in the vendor, hit the wait button and do 48 hours, check again. keep going till you find it i guess, hope it helps, lemme kno
