It is wrong to say that ALL KOREANS eat dogs. i thought so before i went to korea but when i actually lived there, everything was different from expected. Only the savage portion of koreans eat dogs. Like old generations people in the sountryside. I lived in korea for 20 years and made many korean friends. The never ate a dog in their life! And they think its disgusting and totally wrong. Many "normal" korean people are hardcore dog lovers. so it is not right to say koreans eat dogs.

It's unfortunate that there are so many stupid people out there who use whatever they hear in passing as fact and then gossip about it.

For one thing, dog is also eaten in Southeast Asian countries and you don't see people complaining about that.

Also, dog is not a common food, it started off as a basically a superstitious food that was given to especially weak people because it used to be though that it would help strengthen their body.

As pets. These are Jindo Gae puppies, which are designated as a national treasure and illegal to eat. They're very expensive - even though the puppies in this video are only working quality dogs, they are still around $500 a piece.

Eating a Jindo carries a 24million won (about $24,000) fine in Korea.

I am hoping one day Jindos will be exported the world over to be eaten, thereby exposing the hypocrisy of the Korean people in eating other dogs as if those* are in some way less of a worthy animal than the precious Jindos.

One day we will have Jindo Kebabs, Sanwiches,Steaks.....and so on.
