CHEMRISK - a research company hired by the Corn Refiners has recently taken down it's YouTube page.
The removal was in response to negative public perception resulting from the high-fructose corn syrup ad campaign. Apparently it has become a liability to defend the sweetener.

Yes, I wish that your deli was in my neck of the woods in Portland, OR too. I HATE HFCS.. Trying to avoid is is nearly impossible, which I've been trying to do. It's in everything from ketchup, soda, sunny delight, margarita mix, cereal, sweet and sour sauce.... the list goes ON AND ON!
I just want to say THANK YOU so much for keeping your food real and making a place I feel SAFE about eating out with friends and family. I LOVE JASON'S DELI!!!! Other restaurants could take a lesson for sure!

Whether a sweetener comes from the cane, cob or comb whether its sugar, high fructose corn syrup or honey theyre all basically the same as far as your body is concerned. They all have a very similar composition and provide 4 calories per gram. Helping diners eat correct portions would be a great way restaurants could help reduce our countrys growing girth.
watch King Corn. You can see it here for free. HFCS is not the same. If you bother watching this and still think its the same I'll be surprised. Thanks for keeping an open mind to new information and for taking the time to watch a video suggested for you.
hmm, let me see - High Fructose Corn Syrup is gone. Where is the * folks. To say it is all gone is a joke since ALL the soda's contain HFCS. I guess we will just take it for what it is, a half truth from a half baked dude. I would love it if there was real Sugar in the cokes. Then ou people can honestly say it is gone.
HFCS and table sugar contain 50% glucose and 50% fructose. Both have four calories per gram. HFCS is natural and is made from corn. HCFS contains no artificial ingredients and meets the FDA's policy for use of the term "natural." HFCS provides greater stability in acidic carbonated sodas than sucrose; flavors remain consistent and stable

HFCS & cane sugar are both half fructose & half glucose, absorbed into the body that way so the body cant tell the original source. Fructose intake has actually gone down since HFCS has replaced cane sugar in foods & beverages. All sweeteners should be used in moderation as part of a balanced diet with fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meats & low fat dairy. Making portions smaller is a way restaurants could definitely help people eat more healthfully. Neva Cochran, Registered Dietitian
I do a free health newsletter and in my last one I did an article on hfcs.

With such a low production cost it would be hard stopping the food industry from producing HFCS

I very rarely eat out, I love to have control over my diet. I consider Jason's Deli as an extension to my own kitchen...If I can only find one in AZ.
