  • Too awesome for words, man! \m/

  • this f.... guitarist can do anything ...

  • it was actually clapton and hendrix who elevated blues from the level that bb king and buudy guy brought it to, not jimmy page

  • bassist looks like tom morello ^^

  • i love p-sticks, he looks like the most cool ass motherfucker of the high school, the one that sells you pot and let you borrow his Butthole Surfers albums

  • What's with the all the camera focus on the bass player? No offense (gotta have that bass groove), but we're here to see the guitar master. Please! Keep smokin' it BH!

PS Jimmy Page was the Guitar God - what he created in the studio and was able to transform into live lighting opened the door for all who followed.

  • @JVolvo2007 You're right, except you ment to say Jimmy Hendrix not Page

  • How fucking dare you insult jimmy motherfucking page! btw thats the thing with blues music you tribute and copy stuff youve heard and like. page did that knowingly and the majority of songs on their albums were original but some werent. some....

  • its howard stern with a bucket and a mask on

  • This video has more of the bassist...

  • OH MAN, do I just luv to rant & rave about Led Zeppelin! Just check out the comment I left below for someone who's all pissed off because I said Jimmy Page was a great innovator. You'd think I'd told him that I'm a better guitar player than Chicken Butt Face. I'm not, really. Angry dude thinks that Jimmy stole his SOUND from the old blues players. It's too silly to even respond to, but I did anyway because I want to read lots of insults & expletives. It's fun to see people bug out. OK, next...

  • @KingKook Wow looks like you have a great life with lots of fun and productiveness.

  • @TornPaperYoyos You are boring, which you can't seem to overcome. Try harder.

  • @KingKook Jimmy freaking stole everything he ever did lolol. 1st 4 lp's only song he didnt steal was Good Times Bad Times. Type in Led Zeppelin plagerism, its simply amazing all the lyrics and riffs they stole, Milli Vanilli was more orginal the led zep !!!

  • @KingKook i saw zep live and jimmy page suxx. He is 1 of the worst guitarist there is,but he was a good producer. all their songs were engineered like crazy b4 they were released. I seen him actually play live and ive been around awhile, Jimmy Page suxx when it comes to playing live, its all studio.

  • @valkour22 Jimmy Page burned out. He lived a very hard Rock N Roll life. He didn't just pretend to be a Rock N Roll Icon, he was the real thing. He started to deteriorate in the nineties, AFTER Zep broke up. AFTER. So if you saw the real Zep with Bonzo, Jimmy was playing his BEST then, at the end of the 70s. I saw him with Zep & later in the 80s with The Firm, a great band with Paul Rogers singing. Paul Rogers? Who's he? Google it. So, Jimmy Live was awesome, amazing, spectacular, an artist.

  • @KingKook Paul was in Bad Company

  • @valkour22 Right, Paul Rodgers was in Bad Company. Then he was in the Firm with Page. Google it.

  • @KingKook yea i know. Bad Company was Free in the day

  • @valkour22 Free? I thought they charged for their shows... ...

  • @valkour22 Not sure how you get that... I saw him way back when Zep first toured the US & he kicked ass. He took blues to another level, just as Muddy Waters, BB King, Buddy Guy, et al, took country, acoustic blues to electric, Chicago Blues style..

  • @valkour22 Wow....... I saw Page with the Firm and

  • The drummer is a thick headed brain dead lumbering dope gorilla. That's not a bad thing, is it? Yes, it is. He sucks, a soulless doofus. And Chicken Butt Face proves just how great Jimmy Page was. Everybody can play Zeppelin but only Zeppelin could create Zeppelin. Even I can play Zeppelin...

  • @KingKook no appreciation you fool. it's not intended to sound like zeppelin. It's his own sound playing zeppelin, and it's pretty damn good he is honoring the greatest band ever. Now shut up, sit back, and enjoy dude.

  • @bigsmooth1269 You are obviously struggling with serious control issues, thinking it's OK for you to try to tell other people how to respond to music & art. It's a juvenile thing to do. But it's also pretty much the type of self absorbed, misguided, silly behavior I'd expect from one of Chicken Butt Face's naive, obsequious zombies. "Obsequious" - hope you're not too confused by that word, Google it. Anyway, Zeppelin are the real innovators, regardless of what the Jimmy Page haters believe.

  • @KingKook Zepplin are innovators LOL. THEY RIPPED OFF EVERY BLUES PLAYER BEFORE THIER TIME. THEY WHERE EVEN SUED BY WILLI DIXON FOR WHOLE LOTTA LOVE AND SETTLED OUT OF COURT. Innovators no not quite. While Jimmy Page inspired me to pick and learn guitar, Buckethead has inspired me to keep on playing and pushing myself to became better. Type Zepplin stealing songs into utube and listen. Bucket has 32 albums all orignal that is impressive, not stealing other peoples musiz and then lie about it. FU

  • @aurosne OK it's time to be schooled. First of all I know all about Zep's source material. I'm a huge fan of Robert Johnson, Howling Wolf, Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, & many more. They're amazing. If you LISTEN to their music you can appreciate just how much Jimmy modified, reworked, inverted, & intensified the cool sounds he loved. He added English Folk, R&B, Soul, Eastern, Mystic, Country & even Jazz to come up with something entirely new & unique. That's innovation. Real innovation, dude. 2xFU

  • @KingKook bet u can appreciate that Muddy Water's grand daughter sued zep and won in court. And the others he had to pay off before they took him to court, also the ones who died b4 they got paid. he also then he sold all the material to Atlantic so it was there problem to deal with. Jimmy Page is scum and about as orginal as Milli Vanilli.

  • lacklustre shite.

  • this is like the coolest thing i have ever seen. i wish he would have done this when i saw him play

  • i think the person who taped this is gay for the bass player, not enough footage of buckethead smh

  • is that Dr. House on the bass?

  • Nice to see one of the most talented guitarists pay homage to the greatest of all time

  • That poor Drummer fucked up Good Times Bad Times so badly and immigrant song

  • I didn't know Zeppelin played on a Rectifier! :)

  • That's Brain from Primus on drums. Butthouse on bass. I saw this tour in Cincinnati.

  • for some reason the bassist reminds me of seth green.

  • Moby Dick

    Good Times Bad Times

    Immigrint song

    The Wanton Song

    10 Years Gone

    The Ocean

    In The Light

  • @drgrit thanks

  • @drgrit Ten Years Gone*

  • @brandonmalo Immigrant Song

  • @brandonmalo immigrant song

  • well..beyondneptune is not so wrong imho...the abnormal skills and talent of this musician make the led zepelin's riff like something easy to handle..like a videogame..maybe he's acting like zappa..maybe not..who can say what's in BH head? and what if BH with the boham-carter rithm session ? u reconize led zepelin from boahm-carter..not from jim page...

  • Thanks to the Omegle guy, I love this.

  • i get the impression buckethead is trying to take a swipe at zeppelin - trying to show that he can play zep riffs without even trying. Frank Zappa used to fck with zeppelin like that too.

What buckethead needs to realize is that the melodies of zep are a thousand times more timeless than the melodies of buckethead. Just because BH can play notes faster and sometimes more accurately, doesn't make him a better musician.

  • @BeyondNeptune Sorry, U are so trippin out with that statement. I've been a life long fan of LedZep since 15, I'm 45 now. BucketHead has surpassed, IMO, all the other guitarists I've ever heard, including SRV, whose music I also loved, RIP SRV. No one can compare to BucketHead, he just scores too many points in all genres of music...then there's his guitar playing skills. For me, other great players still sound like I'm reading a trade mag or novel, BHead's music reads like Shakespeare.

  • @smkonwater23 most of bucketheads songs sound like a video game - a 1985 vintage one at that.

Just sequences of notes, played fast, yes, but not pleasant to the ear. He has maybe 6 good songs.

  • @BeyondNeptune LOL, U're funny. :) Not pleasant to the ear, sounds like a video game..lol, .. how many songs have U really heard? Uknow, 10 yrs ago, I wouldn't have been able to appreciate BH's music. But when my musical inner ear matured..what can I say..gotta reach it to know it. Just curious, do U play any instruments? :)

  • @smkonwater23 your snickering will stop when you look at some of the YOutube videos...he plays soundtracks to...drum-roll please....

    VIDEO GAMES

  • @BeyondNeptune Too bad , it's your loss.

  • how to play is not mearly as important as what you play. I wish I could think like Jimmy Page

  • @Tecumseh1812 I think Buckethead likes " In the light" since he seems particularly animated playing the riff at the end.

  • @stage462 I don't blame him . It's a pretty cool riff ! This video just goes to show what separates Jimmy Page from alot of other virtuosos. You can have all the technical ability in the world and be able to execute some crazy shit on a guitar , but you more than likely cannot compose a memorable rock song like Page could . Buckethead , Vai, Beck , a thousand others. They all wish they could have wrote this stuff.

  • Hey cameraman, buckethead is not the bassist, he is the one playing guitar with a bucket on his head... this couldve been a much better video if a 10yr old wasnt recording it...

  • a great respecting a great

    that's music

  • 4:26? Which song? I can´t remember

  • @Golfinnder "In the Light" from Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti album

  • so wheres the vocalist?

  • very helpful playing

  • which song is the first riff from??

  • @LRMMcDonnell Moby Dick. Great song.

  • that was so down to earth

  • i feel likke an idiot saying this but whats the name of the first song?

  • @ThexMetalxWithin Moby Dick.

  • genial!

  • What is his guitar tuned to, he's playing moby dick without the low E tuned to D, he seems to be using the A or B strings. Someone help me out.

  • @bitchslapper12 it's tuned a step down (Eb) pretty sure, he used this tuning from 1998-2008

  • In 2008 he played in E standard tuning, 2005-2006 in half step down Eb and 2004 was in D or Eb

  • i'm proud to say that buck turned me on to ten years gone, and thanks to him that's one of my FAVORITE ZEP RIFFS OF ALL TIME

  • led fuckin rocks

    my god

    buckethead fuckin rule

    my god

    :)

  • Buckethead never fails. as to anyone that plays with the Bucket has a 99.9% chance of not failing either..

  • As always, Bucket is amazing, but, kudos to the drummer for at least keeping up with Bonham (in some regards). This medley is pretty damn accurate. And I dig it.

    Long live the Bucket!

  • Long live the Bucket! 2

  • The drummer is Brian Mantia!

  • @bladedsilence

Brian is an awesome drummer, he keeps up extremely well in most situations, i saw him completely OWN a neil peart solo one year at bonnaroo when primus played and it was stellar.

  • this must have been filmed by the bass player's brother or girlfriend, he's on camera more than Buckethead

  • 4:01 oops!

  • nice catch!

  • he does a good job on the phrasing

  • nice little medley...

    the songs are:

    moby dick

    good times bad times

    immigrant song

    wanton song

    rain song

    the ocean

I didn't make out that last one though...

    did anyone get it?

  • It's called "in the light" off of the Physical graffiti album.

  • that isnt the rain song.

    Thats Ten years gone.

  • nice dude its ten years gone. as if no ones already said that

  • In the Light off Physical Graffiti

    Supposedly Plant's favorite song lyrically...

  • what are the songs at 4:08 and 4:24

  • what's the song at 2:33? i love that!

  • Ten Years Gone

  • LOL are you joking me?

  • imbecile.

  • thats one of the stupidest things ive heard someone say on a buckethead video

  • the immigrant song.....nice

  • Where's the first one from? I've heard it before, but I never got the name of it.

  • Moby Dick

    famous for Bonham's drum solo

  • good to hear some less well known zep here

  • what song is that last riff from?

  • In The Light, should be track 1, disc 2 of PG :)

  • can some one list the last song he plays and put it up i need it cause i cant figure it out i know im ashamed of myself to

  • In The Light, should be track 1, disc 2 of PG :)

  • i can't see where the drummer messes up, can someone point me to it? everything seems to be working out right.

can someone provide the time where it occurs?

  • In 4:00 aprox

  • it looks to me like he's just trying to make it more colorful :)

  • the best siong his who u can barly hear the crowd singin the songs xD

  • the drummer does mess up. barely though. not enough to mess bucket up like that. thats why it was from little communication. you can tell by the way he messed up. he stopped and then kept playing cuz he probablly thought that the drummer was going to go into a different song. most of this stuff seems improvised so it is really important to communicate or give a signals between the drummer and guitarist. thats why medleys are so hard to pull off. see what im saying?

  • yeah, i'm actually performing some place this coming saturday. and yeah that is REALLY important.

    Especially w/ our new drummer.

  • i remember my first show. i went on stage and a started playing a song but it seemed like i was hitting all of the wrong notes. it turned out that the rest of my band tuned down a half step and they forgot to tell me. so i had to stop the song, tune down and start over.lol.

  • lol thats happend to me before

  • wow... buckethead never ceases to amaze me.

  • ohh noooo buckethead messes up at 4:00

  • It's actually the drummer that fucks up his time first, which, in turn, fucks buckethead up. I think this drummer needs to practice.

  • the drummers good. there was just a lack of communication.

  • no the drummer does mess up watch buckethead look at him he never looks back unless he's messing with his equipment or walking around the stage neither of which he was doing

  • yeah Brain the drummer actually hit his snare on the 2nd beat of the measure. In the ocean the snare comes on beat 3.\

Still buckethead is Human. Mistakes always come up. This isn't the worse mess up i've seen from BH either lol.

  • Yeah, man he doesn't mess up - he just lays the snare in an unusual place but it's still right on. Bucket just isn't expecting it. It's only a jam!

  • The best guitar players in the world fuck up. If there's a guitarist that never messes up then he or she is stuck in an easy comfort zone and aren't pushing themselves hard enough.

  • he messes up to make us mortals think he is actually human

  • Good point.

  • what's the name of the first thing they play?

  • Moby Dick

  • what name of song on 2:30

  • "10 Years Gone" see below...

  • Is that '10 Years Gone' at 2:14?

  • Yes, and it was very cool how he played a bit of "In The Light" as well.

  • buckethead is god.

  • buckethead rulz' seems da chickens r backin himup from the afterlife... kfc will die!!

  • I have to admit, this is about the coolest thing ever. Although i disagree that he plays better than Page, but then again Page is my idol (As you can see by my name :P). Still, this is completely awesome. But why did it show the other guy more than it showed buckethead?

  • The filmer had was right next to the stage getting pushed around so that probably had something to do with it. There is another angle but it will take some work to do a proper mix of the 2.

  • @666jimipage Dude, Jimmy Page is the God of Gods. He wrote all these amazing riffs. Buckethead is just a god. I worship them both daily.

  • @lowlypeasant

Must agree with you there. :D

  • PLayed better than Jimmy himself i like seeing a guitar god play another guitar gods work

  • he is a Giant robot a robot that has good tasty jams he can play page better than any one!

  • WHAT IS THAT AT 1:53???

  • THE WANTON SONG =)

    AWESOME MEDLEY!

  • Would one expect anything less from the buckethead?

  • Its so god damn cool to see Buckethead pay his respects to the greatest rock band of all time LED ZEPPELIN, Buckethead might have just earned the respect of every Zeppelin fan by playing this and not fucking it up, but rather making it awewsome! lol

  • notice...from aprox 1:50 up until 2:05 does he turn his volume knob up and down so fast? :-O...cool

  • OMFG iwish big b would come to mn again!!

  • thank you al

  • hellz yea zepplin rulez! n so doez buckethead, but whos the other guy playin

  • He's playing with the Giant Robot band. They do gigs together sometimes. I don't know the bassist's name, but yeah, he's from Giant Robot.

  • butthouse

  • fuck yeah \m/
