AVGN should review War for Cybertron, just cause; He loves the original show and movie, anf WFC is strongly based off it. Even some quotes are used for the names of the achievements/trophies, and its easily the best Transformers game EVER... not that that's saying much, but its a good game.

first of all, TF on the C64 was released in 1986 that's why you play as Rodimus Prime instead of Optimus Prime, and second, Convoy no Nazo wasnt released in japan because the game was part of the japanese g1 storyline, and it has the theme song. it's the Transformers 2010 theme (go check it in Youtube. the theme really kicks-ass).

I'm sure the Nerd is well aware the final boss is Trypticon and not Mecha Godzilla.

Recently in Japan, there is a story about Megatron and Optimus from different regions of the multiverse. Megs challenged Prime to a game of death and suffering. Optimus selects Ultra Magnus as his champion to go through these challenges. I'm seriously not making this up, look up "mystery of convoy" or "to die game" on tfwiki.net. I still can't believe they made a backstory on this crappy game.

Two reasons why they weren't released outside off Japan.

1: It was based on the Japanese version off Transformers called Transformers Masterforce, they changed the story, the plot and some off the names, like Autobots is Cybertrons and Deception were called Destrons.

Never meant for an American or European release, because off that :)

Because a casette tape is still just a storage medium, like a floppy disk, cartridge, DVD, etc.

Problem is that cassettes load only tiny bits of data at a time, so the games loaded ridiculously slowly.

The main reason some home computers in the 80's used that format is one word: Cost.

Cassette tapes were a cheaper way to store data than cartridges and floppy disks, and at this time, CD's weren't really out yet.

actually CARTRIDGES are the best. cds and dvds get scratched. tapes take time to load. carts last far longer than cds and dvds and have no moving parts. also, NO load times.
