4. There are very easy and simple ways to alter the reading of an analog ammeter. Now, I have absolutely no proof that the car alternator seller did this. But, judging by his track record (#'s 1,2 and 3) below, nothing would surprise me.
If I see an honest customer submitted video of one of those car alternators doing 40 amps at 25 mph, I will be beyond amazed. You will NEVER see this.
1. The seller is using resistors with a very low Ohm rating so the car alternator is essentially shorted.
2. When the truck starts, you will notice the blades start to spin then you hear a clicking sound. This is because the blades must get some start up momentum before the truck driver shorts the generator by flipping a switch. The clicking sound you hear is the switch being flipped.
3. That is why the amps jump from 0 to 40. The switch :)
Sounds like the patriot would maintain a better average of more power with wide aluminum blades. The sword blade can handle higher winds with out rapping around the pole like the aluminum blades do. Interesting video.
i did see in someones video where they were testing a wind turbine mounted out in front of a old ford truck how the amp would jump from 0 to 40 amps as if a switch had been turned on. i thought that was suspicious.

I can help explain this scam.

@islaguy100 I may have seen the same video. Was it the one with two $7 Chinese made analog meters from eBay being used?
