  • at what part in the standard movie should this have been? I cant remember, must have been before the prison breakout?

  • @trentdarko Just before he gets arrested at Moloch's house.

  • its funny how rorschach doesnt care about women but hates rape and wont let it happen...

there was a silk spectra II, night owl II but not rorschach II why? because he is irreplaceable!

  • @paygirl150 Because he didn't retire like those two did. He's quite a bit younger, so there hadn't been a chance yet. The two you mentioned were part of the original minutemen in the '40s, being relatively young then. The movie is set in '84-85~. A more obvious observation is that there was no Rorschach in the original Minutemen, requiring no Rorschach II for the movie.

  • I wish cops were like this

  • I am so confused, I just watched the movie twice in a row online, and this scene was in it.....?

  • @AlbinoTopaz Its a cut scene :P

  • @AlbinoTopaz No, it's not. LIke AlbinoTopaz said, it's a cut scene.

  • yeah this 53 seconds of awesome footage of the one interesting character of the movie with the best actor is too much, cut it

  • Rapist don't like this scene.

  • I wonder how the hell Rorschach was able to disarm that guy despite having the gun pointing straight at him while he's standing like ten feet away.

  • @martiallaw09 Because he's a superhero, yo.

  • funny thing is they gave the directors cut version on HBO but this scene and some other's weren't there

  • 1 person looked up a yelled "save us" and Rorschach whispered "No."

  • So good...

  • They cut out this but left in like 4 long ass sex scenes?

  • @Nerevar1990 maybe they wanted to give a reason to buy the dvd

  • rorschach should write a book.

  • Something rewarding in his eyes... The look of someone who's just simultaneously voided both bladder and bowels.

Cool as this scene was, I see why it was left-out. It was redundant with the psychiatrist scene where Rorschach explained that Walter died with the little girl.

Is notable in that it clearly stated Rorschach was homeless, rather than having a slum room with the landlady who would claim to have had an affair with him like in the book. But he was called a "hobo" in another scene too.

  • @rajvader if your referring to the scene when he walked past the hooker, she called him a homo, not a hobo. Personally i don't think it makes where Walter Kovaks lived, but how Rorschach worked

  • I love it how Rorchach is like this vampire. Only except of having cravings for blood, he has cravings for disembowling criminals

  • when does this happen, I am sure this would have made the cut if there was a good place to put it but there isnt any from what I recall.

  • Put on your cool face........Problem rapist?

  • they leave the crap sex scenes in but cut this stuff?

  • I had to get the director's cut because they took out of the small good parts from the comics. Scenes like this bring it closer to being just like the book

  • Only Rorschach can intimidate someone just by clearing his throat.

  • ...Sometimes the night is generous to me.

  • Rorschach's my favorite character!

  • They edited this movie completely wrong. You take out the long sex scenes, excessive violence, and unnecessarily long ending, and you replace them with scenes like this that are so simple, and yet help you understand everything about this world better.

  • Sometimes the night is generous to me..

  • ohgodithinkijustcame

  • My face..

  • I always think of rorschach as a badass private detective instead of a super hero, funny isnt?

  • why have they cut out half of the comic book! the film was a mess without it

  • @pottyaboutpotter1 It should of been a f hour film or a three part movie.

  • funny how in the book, his gloves were decidedly NOT clean.

  • Only Rorschach can be intimidating just by clearing his throat

  • yeh like when nite owl beats down that knot top

  • Where's the rest of it? Is this the end or do they show Rorschach kick the rapist's arse?

  • Why does he mention his gloves but not his hat?

  • I love how all he does is clear his throat and both the attacker and victim freeze. He is one scary puppy.

  • Spotless gloves? I like!

  • In the novel, you can see that his clothes are actually

in pretty bad shape. both costumes.

Shows he is slightly out of touch with reality.

Losing his mind inside of the Rorschach identity.

  • @zeptimp OR it simply shows that hes poor and isnt too concerned with the condition of his clothes...lol.

  • This should have been in the movie it tells so much about Rorschach!

  • the probably cut it to save an extra minute

  • i agree

  • what happend next!

  • thts all tht happens in the novel.

  • I need a pair of spotless gloves

  • whats the name of the music in the background?

  • all gloves acheive that

  • Maybe spotless as in they leave no fingerprints

  • No blood. Because it was before he killed maybe.

  • I wonder what he meant by his "spotless gloves"? He couldn't mean they're actually immaculately clean, as he keeps them in the frigging garbage and everyone remarks on how bad he smells.

Maybe it's allusion to his hands being clean, metaphorically or something?

  • or maybe he cleans em just keeps them in can in rest of clothes. i think its the bit of clothes his 2nd most proud of

  • I'd say it's an ironic statement referring to the fact he's killed people with his hands and the gloves aren't a part of his body so they haven't been actively performing murders, when he equips his gloves they are like a fresh start.

  • yes, it means he do the right thing, he's free from dirt of crime

  • The night is very generous indeed :)

  • its not "the end is night", its the end is NIGH, it means near

  • It is entirely understandable why these scenes were cut. Not to say they aren't great, but one of the biggest challenges in a 2+ hour movie is the pacing. It's not the length of the scene that is the problem, but the focus.

  • The highest grossing movie adjusted for inflation is Gone With the Wind. The highest grossing movie not adjusted for inflation is Titanic. Both are over three hours long.

The focus of Watchmen isn't on the story, it's on the characters and the world. Cutting a scene for pacing doesn't make sense with this movie.

  • Eh, I disagree. Watchmen has so many characters and branching plot lines, they needed to make sure that the viewers weren't too caught up in irrelevant scenes. This scene does help develop Rorschach's character, but isn't vital to the story. I would have preferred for this scene to be in the movie, but I can understand why the editors feared too many scenes like this could distract the audience.

  • Love it

    Thanks for posting ;)

  • That's why the police said "He stinks!"

    I understand now.

  • OMG so many cut scenes which should have made the original. WTF were they thinking?

Oh wait, I live outside of the USA.....so I don`t count. Silly me.

  • This scene should have stayed in the movie.

  • great scene

  • how could they not include that in the theatrical version?????!!!!!!! that and two other scenes?

  • length of film.

  • i guess you are right, the yshould have cut out or reduced a sex scene and made room for this

  • but hey thats america for you. if it doesnt have tits then people usually gtfo lmfao

  • Lmao that's fucked up considering that I'm American.

  • no way :p

  • @halofable574 Yeah a little less pity fuck

  • @halofable574 Right!

  • @halofable574 or just remove all the slow motion.

  • THAT IS EPIC!!!!!
