Remember when guys actually came in to make saves for other babyfaces? Notice how big the crowd popped, and every guy that got involved was made to look that much better because they were being shown to be allies of the biggest babyface. This is just simple booking 101 that helped everybody involved, and nobody booking has sense enough to do this any more.

@TheSlapdown The last one I saw book this style, and sadly he has passed away and I cannot remember his name because he didn't get a lot of publicity, was the man that booked for the WWF between Autumn of 1999 and Spring of 2000. It was some of the most solid booking in the "sports entertainment" era and almost everything he did made sense and solidified faces from the heels. Of course Stephanie fired him in mid-2000 for some reason that was so trivial that I can't even remember it.

@CombatSportFan Do you think wrestling will ever become *any good* again? Only excitement I saw recently was The Rock coming back, talking a lot, and going away again. They're milking him for all it's worth. I think it's bizarre them relying so much on a guy who hasn't wrestled for 7 years. Cena vs The Rock will be nowhere near The Rock vs Austin!

@TheSlapdown This is simply the cycle wrestling goes through. It happened in the 90s when things went bad for a while and then the boom period started again in 1996 when the NWO was formed and Austin and Rock started becoming breakout stars. Right now things are being set in motion with the retirements of Michaes, Edge, and Triple H (with Helmsley becoming new head of WWE soon) and the looming retirement of Undertaker it will force change and things will re-shape for the better. Always does.

@TheSlapdown You never know. Keep in mind many people thought that WCW under Jim Herd was a lot like TNA under Dixie Carter. All it took was a little shift and boom they were the most popular promotion on Earth. And right now Carter is talking about revamping things with one rumor being that she may FINALLY fire Russo and push for a more wrestling oriented promotion to lure in fans alienated by Vince's antics.

@koloss26 that doesn't really matter what he did outside of the ring. That has nothing to do with the positive message he sent to all children all around the world . I know it makes him sound like a bit of a hypocrite but still he sent the POSITIVE message to kids and that's all that matters...
