  • Hello! Im trying to give my hair a break and go at least 3 months without retwisting. its been just 2 weeks and was having a rough time. Coming across this video has greatly helped me, and put me in a better mood, I think I can do that thanx to ur encouragement in this vid. Im subbing, stay blessed :)

  • @byobow20 I'm glad it helped :)

  • @rockinrobin786 That is a very long and complex question. I am currently filming videos for my comeback and will add this topic to the list.

  • I love this video for the simple fact that parts are not my cup of tea. I'm much more happy with popping every so often.

  • @DreadHeadQUiNN totally, I'm tempted to go through mine as I haven't twisted in a year but I love my locs so much as they are... I haven't been bothered lol

  • perfect answer

  • Nice video. I know this is so off topic, but you have great teeth.

  • @WandaWomyn THANK YOU! I've always been so thankful for my teeth and your compliment means a lot

  • You make such a good point! My definition of beautiful has changes with locs as well!! I started with SisterLocks, recently combined my locs and I know that I would have started with traditional if I had the appreciation then that I have now! I plan to semi-free form.

  • @ImNaturallyKinky Good for you and enjoy your journey *smiles*

  • !!good job!!

  • @MrSoulschool Thank you

  • Why did you stop latching? I know you said you didn't like it, I'm just curious as why or what it was about latching you did not:)

  • @Divadesertlocs the reasons are drawn out but if you watch the video "up in my head" from about a month ago, I show the difference between the latched, palmrolled and freeforming portion that might help. Also see "what freeforming has done for me" video. If you have a hard time finding it, it may be easier on my website since they're sorted.

  • @Divadesertlocs got the videos wrong. The name is freeforming: what have you done for me

  • i pop mine about every 2 weeks, but its not to see parts. I just don't want congos right now. I only have a few that like to merge alot anyway. i wash pop and go. i really don't want to see parts at all, but because of the texture of my hair in the crown you can still see them there.

  • @angie101972 *nods* it's such an individual thing for sure.

  • OMG--thank you so much for being so specific about popping. This is the FIRST video I have come across where somebody said not to pop every time you get your hair wet. I was doing that and know it's no good. I am going to try every other week but my goal is once a month. I don't know--my hair creep a lot but it's a few strands at a time. I rinse every other day now but every day in the summer.

  • @CherishMyDaughter it's a tough choice. When I did it every rinse it was no good but some people just mesh that bad. In those cases do it when hair is full of conditioner. I just find finger combing in the shower so much more gentle even if imperfect. Just figure out the least amount of popping you can do while still preventing merging.

  • Why the FUCK are you vloging... *Troll face*

  • @MINECRAFTNINJAx lmao, me thinks my son's been accidentally posting from my youtube account instead of his again *smilles*

  • how is your tongue stretching going? are there any updates?

  • @PumkinSeedandSpice no updates for another couple months then probably going up again.

  • I agree with everyone else this was a great video with great information.

  • good info

  • I can't help but love you Quotidianlight{:-). Thanks for sharing yourself with us. You are appreciated for all you do.

  • I love your channel and I love you!

  • I think that seperating, parting, rolling, latching is a form of cultivation. Perhaps we should reterm this to level of cultivation according to the lockers preference.. You know I hate that term " popping locs" I have thinner locs' so because of the way I started my locs' Routine Cultivation' is needed for long term health and to keep them from breaking off in the future. Great video as always sis'.

  • @Cherished131 I've been struggling with the term freeforming as well. I know most see not twisting as freeforming so I use the term for clarity but loose rooted seems more accurate.

  • Very good video! I like that you have a very diplomatic point of view while still being clear on what your personal preference is :) Maybe you should make a film called "Good Locs" lol! Or maybe you have already addressed that in a video that I haven't come across yet :)

  • Great Advice! Love your point of view! I too love locks of all types...organic, free formed, maintained etc. all are beautiful! One day I plan on freeforming but my spirit hasn't taken me there yet!

  • Tend to your garden so your garden isn't full of weeds- LOVE it!!!!

  • Thumbs up

  • Although i dont have locs anymore, i still LOVE watching your videos !! :)
