Honestly how is Jay Cutler done beter than what Grossman did? Very similar QBs with great passing skills and playmaking skills. However mentally they canbe weak at times which causes their dumb INTs/Turnovers. Grossman can look like a superstar one moment (SEPT 2006 when Bears went strong out of the gate that Super Bowl-bound season; NFC Playoffs), then he can suck the next (MNF vs Cards, SUper Bowl vs COlts). Honestly Cutler has the same deal.

In 2006 the Bears had the best defense in football, a GREAT run game (especially in the playoffs), a VERY solid WR corp, with Mushin and Berrian both having close to 1,000 yards, and not to mention Rex was being protected by one of the top O-line's in the game that year. Jay set franchise records last year, with the worst O-line in the game, a bad WR corp, subpar run game, and yes... a very good defense as well.

Rex was bad, good, and sometimes mediocre. He wasn't just terrible or great. He helped make our D look so dominant b/c the huge leads he got them off to early in the 06 season. He also hurt the team with all the turnovers. I just don't get why people hate this guy so much. He was just an up and down qb. They say he's a great guy. I thought he dealt with it all like a real man.

At halftime he had a qb rating of 120. The Bears inability to even remotely stop the Clots on offense lost them that game. They gave up over 200 yards rushing and 31 first downs. You just don't win doing that.
