This song always brings me great feelings as it was the song my sweet 16 and I called our song! Thanks alot for posting. I still have all their alblums (yes, albums).
George cameron did Sound at a venue in Greenwich village in the early nineties,Italian rest was downstairs.I played there.Thatz when I met him, great guy.
WOW!,... "PRICELESS"!!!! Thank You so much for sharing this with us! They still sound great even after all of these years! You did a good job with capturing this!
"Crummy Camera Work", you say...I say forget about it my friend! You did really good my friend!!! Thank you for not only having the insight to video the classic song,"Walk Away Renee" with the "Left Bank"...but also for sharing your video with so many...
Thanks for posting this. The original lineup was Queens. N.Y. based so things go full circle. Great audio quality on this. Have any idea if they're doing a national tour?
Well I listened to this and the original and totally forgot what I was doing for a few minutes. Thats the way I love it. All the best to you in the band.
I met one guy working in a police station when I got busted once, he said he was an original member of the left banke. a real nice guy he let me skip after a long convo. I wonder which one he was, I owe him big!
Pretty darn good, they'll never get Michel Brown back in, but they at least have some golden oldies to play- I'll give it a 7 out of 10, drums and guitar seemed lost, vox pretty good
I agree--it still sounds great. And I'm generally not a big fan of doing old songs live 45 or 50 years later. But this sounds really good. It IS a great song.
Wanna see something different ? Here's the lead singer above (Mike Fornatale) singing Goldfinger. Hmmm...youtube won't let me post the direct link to the youtube video of it. Just copy and paste the following text on the end of youtube.com /watch?v=MqfWSZTaJSk
We just thought it would be nice to sing the old songs again. Make no mistake, the band worked long, hard and at their own expense to make this happen. This wasn't a contrived effort to gain money or fame. Everybody did it for the love of the music.
@djtomfinn you can tell, man it's so great to hear live, totally excellent. i wish you guys could come up to toronto, however soon the snow will fall...maybe spring. keep wailin sir.
@djtomfinn We love all of you for it Tom. The Left Banke holds a very special place in my heart, this is just wonderful to see and hear again. When I think about what could have been - what should have been - oh man. Your sound is one of best things that ever came.
@djtomfinn Hi Tom -- this was Sunday. (It's in the description, but you have to click the little "show more" thingy to see it.) I wish I hadn't gotten lazy with the camera, the audio on this is wonderful. Thanks for a phenominal show!!
Wasn't the original singer on "Walk Away Renee," Steve Martin or Steve Martin Caro?

Lo siento mucho, pero Left Banke sin Michael Brown(que además es el autor) y la inimitable voz de Steve Martin Caro, no es Left Banke.
Donde estarán Brown y Martin Caro?
