  • @negie78000 Agreed! All round I like Flux more, but Skrillex left more of the original track in and you can easily tell that it's a remix of the original, where as with the flux one you need to listen quite carefully to tell its this. :)

  • @mysticblade35 Yep! His name is Glenn Corpes (Hese my username 'Ja-Corpes'. He was one of the guys who started up BallFrog and worked on the original Populous. Google it!

  • Whoop! My dad mad this game!! His friends are working on the new one. I never played it myself because I'm too much of a noob, I'm just here to see what the original soundtrack was like compared to to the Skrillex one ;)

  • @Jacorpes01 Your dad worked for Bullfrog? And is friends with Starbreeze?

I'm very skeptical of all of this.

  • @Jacorpes01 I liked the Flux one better, but the Skrillex one was more fitting for the new game.

  • ...and they are making another shitty fps out of a classic...makes me wanna cry :(

  • Flamethrower owned this game. Wait around a corner as the masses of agents charge your position and blast them with burning jellied gas as they come into view. The city streets would be littered with the charred, smoldering corpses of your foes. Here's hoping the flamethrower makes a comeback in the reboot.

  • 4:17 - 5:31 That is almost the same song that Skrillex just did.

  • @ghpoju

That's because Skrillex remixed this music for the syndicate announcement trailer!

A great throw back to the old school Syndicate if you ask me.

I noticed it the second I heard Skrillex's track!

  • @ghpoju This is the ORIGINAL. SkrillerX just remixed it. Two bit no talent ass clowns do this.

  • Skrillex really has taken the entire song from its roots! Cool :)

  • I love that game

  • That second song reminds of the men game on Sega genesis.

  • HELL YEAH. From the moment I heard the first second of the music it brought back memories haha. I remember spending 90% of my time blowing shit up and using all the cool weapons. Yeah.

  • Ey dudes, if you are bummed out that the Sydicate remake is a FPS, Paradox Interactive are developing a game called Cartel, a proper strategy game were you plot n a map and send out agent to do you dirty work. Google "rock paper shotgun cartel" for the article.

  • @meanmanturbo Thanks for the heads-up. I would trust PI with the lives of my kids, if I had any. What I mean is, I think they're a safe pair of hands (even though I'm personally still waiting for another Vicky 2 patch ;P)

I have high hopes for the Syndicate "reboot", but at the same time gearing up for another bland shooter clone. Just hope that the Persuadertron makes a reappearance...

  • Have faith, just because its going to be an FPS doesn't mean it'll be bad, just different. As much as I nostalgia'd hard for this video, I have hopes that the new one will be just as good.

  • Hey man, where's the tactical cover and cool guns?! BOOOORING.

  • Awesome

  • The theme for the new game isn't dubstep..... More towards electro.

  • @daftwickii5555 If it has WUBWUBWUBWUB, it's Dubstep.

  • @TheTurnipKing nah, that's not a requirement for the genre, just something that seems to have been common as the genre has become more formulaic rather than experimental.

  • For comparison convenience : 4:15

Old theme, vs New ...*blech* dubstep.

  • My heart melted from joy when I first heard the syndicate theme in the trailer for the new Syndicate game.

Then the music turned into dubstep. My heart turned into stone.

  • This game series is what made Deus Ex even possible. Respect ones origins I say. :)

  • a time when peter molyneux kicked ass

  • This game was pure victory.

  • You know a game's made an impact when you haven't played it in over 15 years and you can still pick which level you played over and over again in the demo version.

  • remake.. REMAKE!!!!!!!!!!!

    Gauss gun FTW

  • Cooper Team!

Music at 2:10 is awesome :)

  • Best atmospheric video game music in the last 20 years, no question.

  • @scottylans Try Fallout 1 - Brotherhood of Steel / The Glow

    ;}

  • if they ever updated the series you know it would just be another first person shooter where you kill 134 people each mission

  • @diabolicaldag Well, there is a difference between updating and raping.

If they pulled off a good job, it would be a good remake/sequel.

If they went batshit insane on it, this game too, sadly would be shamelessly pissed on,

like far too many other legendary titles.

  • the music sounds more 8bit here in this pc version than for snes.

    watch?v=vZT-ygqY9I4

love the part from 3:00 , the music , the atmoshpere of the game reminds me of vangelis and blade runner and thats why i love it, and still play it from time to time on my snes.

  • So good

  • I loved this game, the violence was so great!

  • This game was way ahead of its time

  • Wait for a new Syndicate game.Great Gameplay.

  • the deus ex of the early 90s

  • Story is bit diffrent but the world is bit similiar there is rumours that syndicate (3) is coming that game was one of my fafourite in childhood

  • incredible game :D

  • Syndicate and Syndicate Wars are really overlooked but one of the best games ive come across.

  • What a classic.

  • and third favorite of mine... and i agree 1stb1 quite a few good games came out around this time... dont forget betreyal at krondor!

  • A new Syndicate game would be so damn cool. Love this game to bits. Cybernetically enhance your murderous men and order them to minigun enemies down whilst high on drugs! Would like to see a film version of this too. Reminds me a of a mix of Bladerunner, Shadowrun and Risk lol.

  • I liked the flamethrower even more then the mini gun cuz you see the guys fall down on fire and then turn to ash. :)

  • Yeah, but the flamer in the PC version seems never to work.

I actually preferred the Chiller in the SNES version. Censored for kids yeah, but still a terrifying concept and the only weapon that was a guaranteed one-hit kill.

  • yeah, it was cool!

  • @Edd731 A film? I was thinking the exact thing! This was a unique experience to play, though I only got to play a demo of the game. The music was great. The first tune sounded similar to the "mission complete" theme, but was not quite it (perhaps its because a different version plays on the Mac???).

  • @Edd731 The new Syndicate game is going to be a first-person shooter. Oh the horror.

  • @Edd731 You got your wish.

  • @Edd731 well guess what 2 years later syndicate reboot!

  • @Edd731 It's happening buddy, and it looks immense!

  • @BulletFoss Yeah dude I saw the latest videos, I've got a proper boner for it haha.

  • @Edd731 Well, your prayers have been answered. There is a new Syndicate game coming out some time this year.

  • @HellBreak777 that one is not a syndicate game... just some generic fps...

  • @nap007rz Exactly, just like the new X-COM. Fortunately, Firaxis saw this and said, "Hell no!" and are developing the true X-COM reboot game. Hopefully they do the same for Syndicate

  • some of my other favorite games came out around that time, star control 2, x-com series, jagged alliance

  • this game kicked me in the left butt cheek with and left an impression

  • Do you hear us companys a new syndicate game would bring a hell of cash to your pockets!

  • Apparently EA have a sequel in production

  • the best game ever ¡¡

  • one of my all time fav classic games :D

  • i saw my older brother play this game a long time ago, a few years ago i found a copy and played it but it was kinda buggy with windows xp, so i used cheats to try to get through them as fast as possible. gave them all miniguns and full parts and stuff pew pew pew. some of the missions were confusing though. like the one where u had to kill all cops. it took me hours and hours to do it cause i couldn't find the last one for some reason

  • Maybe he was never there.

  • I still own a copy of this game along with American Revolt.

It's a shame the sound won't work so I can listen to these badass tunes. =(

  • Google for dosbox, that'll get the audio working

  • Cool, I'll do that. Thanks. =)

  • Wow this was one of the best games of all time.

  • Maan How on earth did you get this music???

    You are the best !!

Thank you soo much for this classic, that game is sooo good!!!
