i know! did you know that Lenzi himself saw these creatures rather as vampires? but the producers favoured zombies? thus they are called zombies, but the only drink their victims blood!

They are vampire-zombie hybrids, do you think this movie inspired Lifeforce? similar fast moving zombie invasion and vampires. Only the vampires in Lifeforce don't drink blood but suck energy instead. And does this movie remind you of Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead and Zombieland?
