  • Good Shit!!!

  • Comment removed

  • lame, this sample was mished mashed 10x better 15 years ago on akai s1000 sampler using atari cubase sequencing lol , keep on learning!

  • Add more gain to the higher frequencies. Other than that: GJ! =D

  • amen loops kicks ass

i used them a lot in the 90's

  • reverb, delay, compression on that fuckinkick & basic amen rearrangement, why did you put this on here?

  • it sounds awsome

    what you talking about

  • I've got an Idea: let's never make any innovations in music ever.

  • why because 'you' cant?

  • Hahah @ UncleC69's comment.

The amen being sampled was probably one of the weirdest things at the time to people too, so I dunno why you're stifling musical creativity.

  • I think he's being sarcastic towards 'BuggatiFan'

  • To Steve: Oh yeah definitely :D. I'm replying to BugattiFan301, too.

  • Got ya! Sick Beat though, I'm trying to come up with some breaks of my own.

  • sounds like SHIT

  • jajajaj why?

  • No way guys, this sound is great.

  • Those kicks are too powerful - maybe they sound good at home, but watch those levels and you'll notice how out of place they are... Try to equalize the sound - this sounds horrible. And it's pretty stock I might add - nice groove, but those effects don't bring it alive, it just sounds generic.

  • Dude it's a FLV video, as if it's not going to sound horrible

  • It doesn't sound bad because it's an FLV video... Anyone can effortlessly make it sound descent despite the FLV compression... My point was that the amen isn't brought to life - it sounds generic because of all the reverb and poor engineering, and the kicks are very badly equalized. It's pretty fucking obvious that I wasn't talking about poor sound quality, but you just don't bother to read before posting, do you? You have a lot of "bitsmashing" to do before you can step up...

  • Good old renoise ;)

I've actually made a tune using the amen beat & renoise fairly recently.

Check the video response - hope u like it :)

  • "OK, so the sample itself is pretty crap"

Speaking of the Amen Break like this is heresy.

  • Amen my brother.

  • whaaaat the hell is with all the reverb. IM DROWNING!

  • yea man .. leess fx more retrig haha :P

  • dude, you knows it. the pair of you are getting thumbs up from me!

  • Hey JJ,did you use any effects on the seperate samples?

How long did you work on just making this beat,it's awesome imo.

I'm curious wich effects you used on the track,is it possible to post a screen of the bottom renoise effect bar?Its hard to see wich effects you put on based on this screen.

  • i use renoise too, try running the bpm at 750-800 or so, (which is actually 200) but you can make some crazy buzz rolls when the screen flies down that quick.

  • Nice chop of the amen. I would like to hear the song

  • Nice beat, you have the start of a decent D&B track.

    What program is that?

  • Thanks! I'm using a program called Renoise. Google it and search for it on Youtube. It is a pretty sweet tracker which is great for creating breaks. I'm working on a full song using this break, I'll post it when it's done.

  • try to increase the tempo set speed to 3 and bpm to 440

I always work with that speed! you can slice the break much more!!

  • Awesome, thanks for the tip!
