  • accurately representin!!!

  • I'm skeptical about real progress for humanity. The people in the world having the most babies are the least educated and most religious.

  • Cool video!

The possible evolution of human society really is a fascinating subject.

  • Excellent video. Thanks ShwaNerd.

  • It reminded me of Howard Gardner, he published a book that spoke of mentioned topics about humanity.

  • Glad you've found other freethinkers to hang with. Atheism gets kind of lonely sometimes.

  • Shwanerd, Freethinking and Toronto don't mix, no duh you have more members...

  • Yeah, Gay Pride parades and holidays when marijuana is smoked en masse in the streets, very little free thought going on there. We're all just a bunch of conservatives over here.

  • Aww, it's called a joke you humorless sack of waste. :D

  • Aww it's called a joke you humourless mess. :D

  • I call Poe.

How was I supposed to know?

  • It would be kinda obvious, unless you've never been to TO.

  • You think Toronto is bad, try London, probably the most conservative and christian city in Ontario, and probably one of the top ones in the country.

  • I don't think TO is bad...... christ, I've seen London, never been, but I've seen London, it's messed up, yes, but my solution is to stay away from London.

  • I think you've summarized it very well. Thanks.

I left wishing I had recorded the meeting.

I told Sohail, When it comes to the three "C's" Two out of three ain't bad. I am learning though. It is possible to feel compassion for people without supporting their ideological views.

  • epic metaphor

  • Interesting hypothesis.

BTW, do you know what "adolescence" means? I mean the origin of the word.

  • etymonline . com / index . php ?term = adolescent

  • Oh, thanks. I didn't knew that website. Etymology is sort of a hobby of mine (I am such a geek).

Also, I do know what "adolescent" means and where it comes from. I was just trying to show that the root of the word is deeper and even more relevant to the to the hypothesis presented on this video than most would realize.

  • Well, now the Shwa has got a source to check.

  • ★★★★★

  • Evolutionary psychology is so interesting! My boss was really interested in it and practically forced all of his lab to read the book about it xD

Isn't it exciting to live on an age where a branch of sciense (evo. psyc.) is merely starting to form? In our lifetime we will see it grow. I find it really thrilling, at least.

  • Of course the idea that humans are in the "adolescent stage" of development as a species is pure speculation and every conclusion derived from using that as a premise is just further speculation. When (if) we've studied the natural history of several other intelligent species, we may or may not have a basis for such an assertion.

  • The last meeting ever?

    NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    :P
