Ah, the early days...I wish they could have continued like this but there was destined to be only one My Own Prison, apparently. Looks like Scott never left his prison, either, considering recent events and his quite dramatic crash-and-burn.

That all is said with sadness...I always had the greatest adulation for the man, but I've reluctantly had to take him off the pedestal he's rested on for so long.

But this video is a great relic from that era, before fame took the edge off this band.

I think this is the only song that makes major references to biblical figures. Then again alot of bands make references to biblical figures, it doesn't mean they're christian bands though. this song was actually writtin about stapps upbringing....because he grew up in a strickly religious family. he was made to write out the bible for punishement and then in his teen years he kinda went to a dark side as if in he was stuck in his own prison....but creed was never a christian band...as a fan for years i would know...and if the band were true christians they would deny that they are a christian band which they have done MANY times
