Glad to be part of the video! Sad to say I'm winding down my second Oakland, CA series while I move over to London for awhile. Maybe I'll set up something there. Thanks for all your hard work, Fran!
Friends of Old Time Music and Dance (FOOTMAD) in Charleston, West Virginia has been sponsoring house concerts since around 1984, along with its regular concert and dance series. I have heard some great performances & enjoyed the informal atmosphere and friendship.
Thanks so much Concerts in Your Home and Fran! This will help greatly! It's a new experience for so many people, but the video makes it sound easy and fun and I love the photos!
This is very cool - good job, it really gets the point across about how special house concerts can be. My only suggestion would be to make a second <2 min version for those with shorter attention spans.
This is terrific, Fran! Well done, and a tool that is bound to be truly helpful for folks who've either been invited to a house concert and don't know what to expect, and for the host as a means to help newbies understand what an incredible experience this is! Thanks so much for all you do and continue doing to advance the cause, helping music lovers and artists alike!
This is GREAT, Fran! Its a warm, non-threatening intro to anyone who's NOT familiar with how relatively easy it is to get involved in attending, end especially presenting MY PERSONAL favorite way to experience a performer of my choosing...and THIS praise comes from someone who ran one of THE "must-do" venues of the '60s!
