Here's why I support openly gays in the military: The premise is that gay men, living in what might be considered a "target rich environment", will be able to restrain themselves while sleeping and showering with other men, not necessarily all gay. No impact on cohesion. No problem. Since I haven't seen any study nor expect that gays are better at restraint in these circumstances than heterosexuals, then it logically follows separating men and women is unnecessary. The question didn't bother me. It was a tough question, but it affects real people and involved a real issue of the day. (much more so than the "what's your favorite baseball team" question. Here's why I support openly gays in the military: The premise is that gay men, living in what might be considered a "target rich environment", will be able to restrain themselves while sleeping and showering with other men, not necessarily all gay. No impact on cohesion. No problem. Since I haven't seen any study nor expect that gays are better at restraint in these circumstances than heterosexuals, then it logically follows separating men and women is unnecessary. Now, just convince the ladys.

Unless you are an extreme partisan or intellectually dishonest you should already know that FNC is highly biased. I only suggest that under-reported news items obtained from FNC should be highly vetted to an even higher level than news from other sources including MSNBC & CNN.

Besides the Concord Monitor, here are 2 more sources whose studies show that FNC viewers are uniformed: The Pew Research Center, The Program on International Policy Attitudes at the University of MD. Then we find the alleged plant was vetted like other questioners -- honest oversight missed his background -- and so a lib would be as stupid as a box of rocks to continue shielding Democrat debaters from revealing questions by claiming that Fox planted the questioner to ensure that the embarrassing question would be asked.

Beyond that, "afraid to ask" doesn't mean that potential Republican voters necessarily want or need to hear GOP candidates answer questions about issues always nuanced in shades of Republican wishful thinking. Everyone likes unvarnished truth now and then.
Maybe you don't get it that YouTube is not a subsidiary of the RNC or DNC. The purpose of the debates is not to let candidates preach to their respective choirs.

I defy any anti-Fox poster to check out the Fox debates versus any other, and you'll see intelligent, serious questions, tough on all eaqually. No stupid softballs like at most of the dem debates hosted by other news organizations. It's one thing to make the claim, but that claim (of Fox's "extreme" bias)doesn't stand up.

On Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Mark Levin today, it was revealed that there were seven or eight others who were Democrat "plants", supporting various Democrat candidates. If this was "fair" - then it would also be fair to load up a studio with Republicans the next time there is a Democrat debate, and let them fire away..... there are a LOT of questions that need to be asked!

My point is that it doesn't matter WHERE the question comes from. The candidates should be able to handle any issue that comes to them. I thought the question was a fair question, and the answer was a fair answer too. Fine. Republicans don't support it. That's all they need to say. To create a big deal over where the question came from is ridiculous.
