The capable people are leaving us very soon and as an irony are being replaced by un-capable or irresponsible persons around the globe. Result is before all of us.
to put things in perspective... if tim decided to run for political office even up to the highest office he would have succeeded. simply the best. period. RIP Tim.. best wishes to big russ luke and mrs russert
Tim was loved by all that knew him and worked with him. He made us proud to be American, he cared more about the American working man than any political analyst. He put David Duke and Michael Chertoff on carpet for their poor performance knowing about Duke's state and Chertoff's poor performance in New Orleans. Most likely government occultist has him killed with witchcraft.
Negative, cold hearted comments like I have read here, really make me not want to ever come back to Youtube. What the hell is wrong with some of you? Tim Russert, was a professional, motivated, passionate man who loved his job, and it showed. He was also one of the most objective people in the mainstream media I've ever seen. On top of that, the man was only 58, with a wife, and family. How can people unload such hate upon a man like Tim Russert? Have some respect, please.
Its heartbreaking to see this, Tom is on the verge of breaking down and crying during this. Its one of the greatest losses we've experienced in many years...
I hope you got to see the Meet The Press homage to Tim this morning. If you did not see it you can watch it at MSNBC Meet the Press on line. Tom barely held it together. It was a beautiful homage to Tim. His interviews w David Dukes and Chertoff are hightlighted.
Tim never berated anyone, as much as I thought he should have, he never did. He asked tough questions, and let the viewer form his own opinion. He treated all people with respect whether a PA or President.
hey. goose420w. get a life and stop talkin s*** about Russert. he was a good man and my dad was so sad wehen he heard he died. so have some sympothy. instead of being an a**hole
There is a time and a place for your complaints about the media. The announcement of a son losing his father on father's day weekend probably isn't that place nor time.
Saying nothing in a time like this is probably better than airing your complaints about his life's work. Or maybe find a more appropriate video to air those complaints on?
With all due respect, when did 58 years old become young? I don't get how people can say he was too young to die. I mean, there are many people all over the world who are lucky to see 30. RIP, Russert.
@QuietOne1986- I think what everyone means is that he had at least 20 more years that could have gone into his career and people are going to miss that.
Tim Russert was outstanding- and in my and many other's eyes, he was the greatest political journalist of our time. He asked hard hitting questions to everyone, no matter their party affiliation. He was respectful to every single one of his guests, and didn't resort to yelling or belittling others to get his point across.
I'll continue to look up to him as I finish my education and begin my own career in journalism.
Rest in Peace, Tim! Thanks for contributing so much to our world.
It's also sad to see all of these other stoic journalists who cover war and atrocities get choked up, he touched them on a personal level, and I think more than anything speaks to this fine man's wonderful character. I loved watching him making EVERYONE squirm, that was his true skill, and he was fair but tough.
Also, I will choose to ignore comments about him being a "propagandist", because I learned long ago not to argue with an idiot.
This is so incredibly sad. I can't believe it. Tim was such a good reporter and you could tell just by watching him on TV how much he loved what he did. He will be missed greatly.
He, like so many in the media, was a former Democrat Political Operative.
But unlike so many of them, the man acted like a journalist. In a field that tilts extremely to the left, that has done away with even the pretense of being objective, Russert actually was.
He was smart, aggressive, but above all else a fair and objective reporter.
And apparently was even a greater man as it related to his family and friends.
I saw this on CNN while in line at the bank. I was dumb-founded. Tim Russert will be greatly missed he was a great journalist. May blessings be with his family during this horrible time.
I grew up watching him, he made politics engaging and the job of a good journalist look easy. He was authentic, and took his gob seriously and did it very well, Watch campaign coverage in this latest presidential race will not be the same without him, he was the face of politics to me. I promise to keep on staying informed.
Thank you for all you did Mr. Russert, you will be dearly missed.
For the rest of the rich, please it's not worth the continous hard work. Take time off and enjoy life. Take a long time off, you have to resources. It is we poor people who are known to pass on like this, not you rich guys.
Get a check up. Take long holidays. Breathe fresh air. Take long walks. Exercise. Run in the park with the kids.

That NBC breaking news chime and music sends a shiver up my spine any time I hear it, because it's never good.
You can tell Brokaw is clearly shaken up in this video.

You know whenever NBC plays that music its not good news. I remember hearing it come on when Reagan and Ford died.

Coverage of the upcoming Presidential race just won't be the same without him. My favorite television journalist.
718alterego 3 years ago 3
maybe it was the tingling felling that Hussein obama gave him that ran up his leg during one of the earlier debates at the beginning of this year.
talk about a "left-wing" conspiracy in the making!!!
i am not implying anything at all, but he should have had that tingling feeling checked out sooner; maybe things would be different in today's news!!!
he was no unbiased jounalist, but i would occasionally view him on sunday mornings!!!
donniebakerfan 3 years ago
Get your facts straight, First the person you speak of was Chris Matthews, Not Russert. Second, He was the most Unbiased reporter there is.
cmdrgmh 3 years ago
i'm sorry, wrong liberal "unbiased" reporter.
hey, even though i was no fan of his, i admit that i did watch his sunday morning show occasionally. sometimes it was pretty good.
my prayer go to his family. btw-i much nicer in my comments than others will be.
