This commercial brings me back to the 1980's. Mountain Dew was one of the soft drinks my parents bought home to wash down dinner with. We were NOT thinking of sugar, caffeine, and calories back then! Memories! This commercial gets me teary eyed! :-)
I have really enjoyed the Mountain Dew Throwback version with the real sugar but not all because of the taste but just to see that classic old logo back again. It's like seeing a long lost friend. This sounds crazy and all but that old logo has been with me in my hand through so much in my life and I have missed it. Just seeing the classic logo brings back so many memories of times long gone that I would LOVE to re-live. Do the rest of you all feel that way about the old logo?
I most certainly dew!! ;) I take it you must have been born in 1979 since that's the year listed as part of your user name. Funny enough, I was also born in 1979 so you and I at least got to experience the old school bottle and can Mountain Dew logos growing up before they changed them to what they are now. If only things could still be that way!
@HoldOnToYourDream actually their is a bottling plant in North Carolina that still puts Mountain Dew in glass bottles. It does not have the Retro logo but it has the new for the later half of the 90s logo I believe
@rockyraccoon1979 I agree completely. Recently I bought a box of Pepsi Throwback and immediately noticed how much better it tastes than the high fructose corn syrup that passes for soda today. I loved seeing the old Pepsi logo again, and I even saved the box and a couple of the cans. I have yet to find the Mountain Dew one. I'm sure it will be just as great as these wonderful old commercials.
It's gonna be high flying and exciting!
