  • His death is by this Lion's hands one day..

  • So this is a sanctuary for them? Do they never see the wild?

  • This lion must of heard the saying "Don't bite the hand that feeds you". hehe

  • This was amazing! Thank you so much for posting, showing us what compassion and understanding of theese truly amazing animals let`s you do.

  • i think i wana tell you something , " DONT COME BACK TO YOUTUBE CHANELE AGAIN !!! "

  • @528jkl WHY Are you afraid

  • I think that the biggest thing to feeding a lion of that size is the be the one who raises it when it's really young. Lions can sometimes give in to instinct and become aggressive to their care takers regardless of how long the two have spent time together, but it helps if said lion knows you've been it's friend and father/mother ever since it was a tiny cub.

  • Believe me, when I am listening to you. I do not plan on taking notes.

  • Ooooook now i'm going to Africa

  • You're crazy, or maybe you're so sane that you just blew my mind.

  • lion hand feeding = feeding our hand to lion

  • I think you're insane. The lions would probably eat both the person and the meat in the bag, its just that the meat is already cut up into small pieces and magically appears near his mouth, so the lions natural instinct to kill is distracted for a few fleeting momements allowing a human to sit in a cage and feed him and feel like he is having a "connection" with the lion.

  • @sourmanofcoal I agree

Listening to all you folks that have never done what I have ,for the last 40 years with large cats, I must be nuts to waste my time posting videos to educate the "experts" explain how lions think.

If you watch there is a large bag of food that he can "attack" at any time if he was really just distracted.

He waits for his meat even when I m sitting down and clearly gives him every opportunity to destory me and eat me alive. But he doesnt.

  • @lionphotostudios

Hi lionphotostudios! People often overestimates lion's weight, so i would like to know

how much does this male lion really weight, without entrails? Thanks!

  • @nomadlion1985 in this clip about 500 in shower videos 550

  • @lionphotostudios I'm a cat lover of all sizes and shapes and colours, and it's important to understand cats, they really are all the same, except, some are much bigger, I think a lot of people are intimidated by cats in general, they can be a little spooky at times, yes, even domestic cats, anyway, I think what you do is great, and I think everyone is a little nuts, but, thats what makes things so great.

  • @sourmanofcoal what are you saying? that made no sense

  • Look it's Aslan!

  • i love lions.and others big cat i like to work with them......sir u must be have lion heart..........i wish my dream come truth

  • this lion is unbelievably tame..usually the steps are:

    1. give meat.

    2. buy new hand.

  • I wouldn't get hand too close, when it's in a more aggresive mood it might just decide to not take his foot of the gas pedal and snap on.. honestly i have no idea why you would even do this.. as laying food out in front of them works fine, and is it really worth risking ur hand :)

  • Mufasa!!!!

  • Atlas lion

  • brave....but i would crap my pants if i did this

  • I think he might just rip it off. JK.

  • @FringeAnonymous look man how dare you to talk to a guy that much older than ur dad i find it very rude

  • Omg this lion is beautiful! And you, sir, are very brave and patient! I have a lot of respect for you. I'd be afraid that the lion would take my hand along with the meat!

  • When does the lion eat his hand?

  • this is the most beautiful lion i have seen, can't tell why, but he looks like what a gold standart should be.

  • looks like a healthy one, smooth skin

  • Yes, Tease the Apex predator.... that could easily kill you with 1 swipe of his paw with food.

  • im gonna try this next time see what happens

  • damn i wonder how much they pay to this guy?

  • looking at this very large mature male lion i can see why a 1200-1500lb Kodiak would have no problem killing it. those bears make this thing look tiny.

  • how much does a male lion weigh? i've seen bengal tiger in india didnt look this big.

  • why are the lionesses in the background in small cages? the lions should have many space to run, play and sleep

  • you are the man boss, i really wana own a lion and feed him like you are feeding your cat, but i dont think i will be able to retain my fingers.

since i hear that you are doing it for 40 years, i salute you for being so focused as apparently you have never gotten it wrong. your are practically playing with a hand grenade whose safety pin 70% out of its slot.

i wish i could come see you and your lions someday, with your kind permission

  • Thats some hellovobig lion! how much it weighs ?

  • Comment removed

  • To lionphotostudios: What are the dimensions of this lion? Height at shoulder, weight, overall length?

    Just curious

  • truly amazing!

So, what happens when you run out of food?

  • ja babby

  • oh , my heart stop beating ,

  • You've got some serious balls.

  • He would loose his arm some day to offend king of the animals

  • a lion is NOT a dog. you shouldnt feed it this way. seriously

  • I dont feel bad when people like these get mauled by the lion. Its a lion.

  • @Alansr10

    neither do I

I ve been doing it for 40 yrs

  • @lionphotostudios don't listen to these idiots, they will never understand! You are doing a great job and certainly got more guts than anyone commenting on this video to do what you do!

  • you are crazy! I love animals of all kinds but your dealing with a undomesticated male lion...good luck to you!

  • @FringeAnonymous

try to comment without offending people

  • @lionphotostudios Are their any moments if you get alittle startled by the Lion ?

  • @lionphotostudios Awesome videos! I admire your work sir.

  • "this is a demonstration on how to feed a lion by hand," oh now i get it, i'll try this the next time i go to the zoo.

  • @JoeOf91 I wouldnt advise a novice trying this. I have 40 yrs of direct contact with mulitple animals and still take caution every time I m with a predator species, which includes humans.

  • Lions are not meant to be hand fed. Wild animals aren't meant to live in cages. You are destroying the species by domesticating it. How decadent and perverted to think a species is only worth saving if you can mold it into your pet.

I smile whenever I hear one of these beasts realized its strength and mauled some castrato captor. If these people cared at all about wild animals, they'd just leave them alone. Give the endangered species enough territory and leave them alone.

  • @decimvs wake up. if you really think my hand feeding domesticates this lion you are nuts. I would love to have the animals in the wild, but as you suggest by giving them enough territory and leaving them alone is becoming impossible. I hope you dontate to saving the wild lions like we do and just not post you views without backing them up.Theyare endangered because MAN is taking the space and their lives as trophies

  • @lionphotostudios Here is my question. If he decides you are food and he kills and eats you, will any of this effort matter? I agree they should be saved, but I think you are taking your life for granted when you get this close to a lion with a bag full of meat.

  • @decimvs Im sooo glad you said that I honestly feel the exact same way..

  • Comment removed

  • part 3 is ass feeding

  • DO NOT TRY THIS. THE GUY KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING , BUT IF YOU FUCK UP YOU COULD LOOSE YOUR HAND OR YOUR LIFE.

  • I think you are a wonderful person who shows commitment and love towards his cats and taking the time to observe and learn the behaviour of these wonderful animals. Also you are the bravest man I know lol. How many do you have? Many big cat owners could learn alot from you, and treat there big cats with the love they need. Keep up the good job :)

  • @loopyloulou85

    thank you very much

    40 lions

  • @louisxxifr yes and we hand fed 30 plus lion every day.

  • Darwin Award winner 2013...bet on it.

  • @whiterat83 I m been working on that award for 40 years hope to win it someday. lol

  • now when that bag of food gets empty and that lion isn't done eating, and it decides to taste your face not to get mad at the lion...

  • @jaydub79 the danger isnt when the bag is empty it is when it is full.

  • @lionphotostudios i feel like i`ve watched one of the most epic videos on youtube

    great work,man!

  • if that beast wanted its food there is not a chance in hell i am going to make it wait for it!

  • What do I think?

I think I'm going to go back to watching Big Cat Rescue's videos. They are much more realistic and don't give people bad ideas.

  • they should feed live bait to the predators in zoos. lets them do what they wanna do

  • This is the type of shit that gets fools killed. Every year, dozens of people get mauled, clawed, ripped and eaten to death before they can comprehend whats going on. Then everyone tries to analyze and explain away what the person could have done wrong and why it happened and once things calm down, these clowns get bored and start playing with/keeping wild animals as pets again. It only takes once. You never know what the fuck an animal is thinking. You're a gene pools dream :)

  • @IIarcon2II

some day you may be right. But until then it is just your opinion. I dont play with wild animals. I have and do work with them for the last 40 years and I and everyone connected to my operations are all alive and well. The animals are also all in good health and are cared for each and every day. No where do we suggest that wild animals make pets, in fact they do not. But we do want to demonstrate that given love and trust they are capable of behaving in a manner worth saving.

  • I think the lion is slowly getting used to the taste of your hand and soon

will osociate that with the the taste of food !!

  • Do u offer classes or tours to ure place so I can see these big cats up close.

  • @Bufar860

we just got our land use permits this last week. After the 30 th we can appliy for the business license to open the ranch for private tours.

  • is he still alive??

  • @1987bugsy we are both alive and well and still handfeeding

  • "What do you think?" well i believe that regardless what animal or human in this world, no one likes to be told when or how to eat. the lion can swallow triple that amount and obviously feels like its not much what hes being hand given, so he wants to speed the process and satisfy the hunger. This man will eventually learn that lions, no not just them, EVERY ANIMAL grows impatient with our stupidities and will stop it harshly themselves.

  • @TheGarcia350

well i hope he does it soon, as I ll be going on Social Security benifits shortly and that is no way to survive.

We have only been together for 14 years hand feeding the whole time

I m sure you are right sooner or later he will want more than I can give, just like the government. But really you could be wrong.

  • @TheGarcia350

If you look the majority of the food is in my other hand, if what you say were true , he just go get the food in the other hand. he gets anixious because I dropped the food thats all.

  • @TheGarcia350 I agree with you, but still, I hope you're not right for the sake of the people handfeeding the lion.

  • @Vankata3MPQ everything evolves. so there's no such thing as no such thing. it can happen.

  • btw. Male lions have the fastest kill among felines. less than 30 sec.always targeting the back of the neck . their killing instinct is triggered by whatever the reason they wanna have. This is pretty much the king & his little slave __ and u know that !!!! ; ) right ?

  • u are a lucky men .... I hope they really like you !!! but I DONT the lions in the background __ This is my fav animal and i kill for a piece of that. Seems like u got it right

  • stop teasing him so much.

  • You know I see a lot of half-witted comments on this channel about this Lion being a dangerous animal and people shouldn't keep dangerous animals. I see people have no problems with keeping dogs! When I was born there was 4 Alsatians puppies and we lived together until they died at 12, 14, 15, and 19....they never once bit me, and even when I was younger they never retaliated to any of my childlike habits...because i was a child.

  • .....I think people see a Lion and see them as just a killers. Truth be told 4 Alsatians can easily be a match for any human and may even be a challenge to this Lion. But this is not my main point. My main point is that people are happy to keep Dogs in their own company with their small children, who have not a hope in hell chance of fighting off a Dog, even this guy has more of a chance with the Lion!

  • .....So it isn't all down to them being dangerous animals - it is whether they accept you as one of their own. If they do then, as long as he doesn't fall out with them, he should be fine.

However, I will admit, I don't keep dogs in my own place though...too much looking after and they damage furniture and living space.

  • @jakethesnakerobertz1 15 to 20 years normally, but some die earlier from cancer

  • That is the dumbest thing I've ever seen in my life! Look at those poor lions in the background just pacing around in their cages. What a sad life. Wild animals ar enot pets. Why are people so stupid? I feel so sorry for these animals. When they kill you, the animals will have to be put down. What a senseless death.

  • @MsLabMom

the lions in the background are waiting to be fed in the same manner and are happy.

they would never be put down even if they killed me, after 40 years of doing this I m quite sure of the risks, and the lions wont suffer if I make a mistake. Wild animals are not pets, and should not be around non professionals, just like a race car is not for a amature driver. No one, neither lion or human, has died here, so relax and calm down.

  • @MsLabMom This clip is to show that lions can interact with a human even during what would be the most dangerous time, at feeding. That mans desire to kill them just because lions kill to survive is no justifications to treat them as killers. Given love and attention they respond with love.

  • plz tell me something about this lion e.g height weight etc etc

  • @wildrebellious he is about 48 in at shoulder and just around 500 lbs now, but he is now 14 yrs old

  • Ughh am I the only that has a problem with this video. This dude is fucking feeding a LION wtf

  • lol. I like part 2, when the "nice" lion is not so nice any more. And thanks for telling! If it will ever happen to me that I need to feed a lion and nobody tells me who, I always can remember your video. It was cute ^^

  • dude you have balls. this lion is great, you must have spent a lot of time with him.

  • One day that male Lion will accidentally bite of your hand.

  • @thephantom063 maybe, but it will be my fault for slowing down

  • the lion is like ....stop fucken teasing me,i'll eat ur dumb ass :)

  • funny!:))))))

  • If my pet cat athena was only that bit bigger, hahahaa! She responds in the same way! CUTE!! This lion is so beautiful.

  • Dude you are nuts... Atleast no one can say u haven't got the guts. That thing is massive dudeeeeee. How do u keep your heart beat in check since they're unpredictable animals?

  • wow...impressive. whats the lions weight ? 450 ?

  • Very lucky if you have a lion that lets you do this. Still pretty risky to tease him with his food like that though, you have absolutely no leverage on him whatsoever. Pretending that you do because he seems nice is utterly stupid.

  • @TigerXtrm no one is teasing this lion. I do get out of the way when the food drops.

Sitting down completely dismisses any thought of leverage in the first place.

If he wanted to take the food all he has to do is go after my left hand where the bag is held.

  • Inbred?

  • @arytonjames not the lion or handler. You?

  • I thought you should never be near a Lion when he's eating...

I heard they get more aggressive over the food and are more dangerous.

  • i think that fulaz a dummy is what i think lol

  • when i feed a lion i like to hole the bucket of meat in one hand while i rub his mane and he sticks his head and grabs a chunk its eaisier for me and him its very relaxing also for him

  • @cjlilc35 funny that you should mention this method. We used to feed with the bucket, but by sticking the head in the bucket the mane would have blood all over it. Then we would have to wash, condition and blow dry the mane. Since we have 17 males it became very time consuming for us, butI mglad it is working for you.

  • @lionphotostudios haha yeah they sometimes get blood on the mane but very rare haha

  • @cjlilc35 good humor

  • @lionphotostudios by any chance do you know about tigers preserve

  • oh nice I want to try it

  • @syriankid4ever no problem just find a lion that is hungry

  • @lionphotostudios what if he eats my hand :((((

  • @syriankid4ever You have another one.

  • @syriankid4ever no thanks I would rather watch lool

  • @syriankid4ever feeding a lion is like feeding a dog its no less but dont try if you dont know how

  • @cjlilc35 r u kidding me I was joking I will never do it haahhahahahah but wish if i can

  • @syriankid4ever yeah its cool but not as cool petting them but yeah if you want to learn about them visit tigers preseration you can learn alot about these majestic animals

  • holy shit lol

  • WTF would you do if he snapped?

  • @dobbins2550 move

  • @dobbins2550 best thing to do is no fast movements

  • What a beautiful lion!

  • @N20LT4 yes he is

  • watch your quick hands and hope they will stay yours^^

  • @Glanur2 so do I

  • @wrldeye12 LOL

  • can i do this in the wild?

  • -WARNING-

DO NOT FEED ANIMALS IN THE WILD!

    TRUST ME IVE TRIED

  • "with all the feeding I do of large carnivores every day :p"

where do you work at? mcdonalds? :-D

  • Yeah, me 2 lol

  • @wrldeye12 just a video for fun. not intended for instructional real life encounters.

my advice is to stand still, back against a solid surface and pray.

  • And this is a demonstration of how tob asically feed your hand to a lion...

  • I think you can treat lions as much as cats all you like and it's natural aggressive wild animal behavior will not be contained regardless, so it's always risky to feed a lion like that even though I would love to do it also.

  • thats not right his not a horse hes a wild animal ... this is just wrong

  • a beautifull beast

  • he's too fearful just put it in his mouth geez lol

  • I think that was scary... brrrr

  • cuz learning how to feed a lions a valube life skill lmfao i wonder how many ppl in bc own a lion

  • nice tutorial. i will do the same:P :D

  • What do you think?... I think you are a lucky guy that you are alive

  • If someone has to youtube how to feed a lion...they probably shouldnt be doing it lol

  • omg thats like chiken nuggets to him

  • That guy is so brave....O_o

  • you guess how the "part 3" is

  • Be nice!!!!

GIVE HIM THE MEAT!! Or else he'll bit off your hand. Don't play the animal with your attentions that you want him to be fed softly. The only thing you can give the lion to be fed softly,........give him peanutbutter. So the lion won't be soo aggressive hungry biting your hand. As long you treat the lions good, they will be good to you.

  • lion beards r awesome

  • @kala4200 Its a mane sweetie not a "beard"

  • I don't swear much...but I couldn't stop whispering Wtf's by watching this video.

  • now try it with a crocodile

  • now i feel like a wimp im too scared to even hand feed my dog!

  • thanks im gonna try this at the local zoo

  • @Isreal4realz have fun with thier 900 pound pressure to thier bite and 550 pound weight. If you think you can outrun them you are also wrong they can run up to 50 miles an hour and jump 10ft in the air. The fastest human can only run 23mph and the highest recorded human jump is 8ft. Good luck

  • also they have 4inch claws and 2 inch K9's. They can take down full grown Bull African Elephants, kill Hippos, Cape Buffalos, Giraffes, Zebras, Crocadiles and so much more.

  • @smildonfatalis1 cmon they can't take down full grown bull african elephants and most likely not a crocodile LOL my god where do you get your info? giraffes is true if they don't get kicked in the face.

  • if they also would give me 50.000 euro per month, i wouldnt do the job! OMG

  • WHat do I think...I think this guy does not like living very much.

  • Beautiful animals. I would show fear though, I couldnt control it, and I think the lion would sense that. Maybe not a good thing

  • I was wondering about the 10-15lbs b/c I saw a NatGeo program where they said a male lion in the wild consumes about 100lbs of meat at 1 setting, but then your guys r eating daily, while a lion in the wild might not.
