  • i think muta should be put in every wwe game from now on so i can whoop everyone's ass with him

  • Mutaかっこいい!

    カブキとの対戦の時

    やばかっこいいいい\(^o^)/

  • 18 people don't know REAL wrestling

  • One of the greatest Japanese Wrestlers of all time. And that's the truth. :D

  • Does anyone know where I can find the match where Muta apparently bled buckets?

All i know is that there was a match that has been called the most bloody in all of wrestling history and that Muta was a part of it.

  • @DerpHerpHero the Great Muta vs Great Kabuki match?

  • Comment removed

  • @DerpHerpHero search hiroshi hase vs great muta

  • Undertaker vs Muta: Main Event at WM 28

  • @Hellhammerabadon That is if undertaker doesn't break his leg walking down the ramp...

  • @DerpHerpHero You made me spit my pepsi in my computer with that xDDDDDD

  • Muta's fucking insane

  • Buen gimmick, gran talento sobre el ring...

    One badass wrestler.

  • Three things I know in the world of wrestling, You don't fuck with Chono, you don't fuck with Arn Anderson and you don't Fuck with Muta

  • You cannot compare the undertaker & the great muta. Two completely different styles.

  • I would Love to see L.A. Park and the Great Muta team up and Tear apart NJP AAA apart with their Bare hands.

  • 1:43 best part

  • The Great Muta is a baaaadddd man!!!

  • It's Great!!

  • Not only a great talent but perfect psychology... Never get tired of watching Muta/Mutoh

  • By far my all time favorite Japanese Wrestler. Unbelievable Skills and Style.

  • This guy was one of the best ever. I wish he'd gotten more exposure in the states. He's way better than most in the WWE right now and Cena for sure. I would have loved to see him and Tajiri in a tag team together.

  • He's on tna right now

  • @kingmula2 I think you're thinking of the Not So Great Muta

  • the great muta is not a japanese undertaker

undertaker is a american great muta

  • @czwdragon huh? in what way are either of them similar? in style or in character?

  • @OlofDreijer it's because the fanboys say why great muta is a undertaker imitation (sorry for the bad inglish,i am brazilian)

  • @czwdragon How? They're not similar in any way at all...

  • @Rayla840

I agree. Don't know where so many got that comparison from. Hakushi's more like UT in Japan.

  • @czwdragon

I think Hakushi's more like Undertaker, it's just that one's the man in white and the other in black. They faced each other once, look it up. Notice the similarity in their entrances and styles, most notably the rope walk.

  • @czwdragon or people can say they are absolutely nothing alike in any way possible...because they arent.

  • i think the great muta and sting wood have bin a great , tag team!

the wow should have made them a teg team. in the usa.

  • Muta was always a problem!!

  • Muta is a beast!!

  • one of my favorite wrestler's ever!!

  • @kevin950523moviesHD

    still alive.Fine.

  • @yamadago Oh cool...If you got time send me some of his recent matches I will love to watch them!, Por favor.

  • @kevin950523moviesHD

ah,I dont know about a recent muta's matches.

but Mutou keiji(muta) 's match is....search [muto 2010] on youtube.

He operation on knee in apr 2010.This was the fourth operation, his knee.

and now, he loses weight for knee's.

  • @yamadago

    search [mutou 2010]

  • @yamadago

    sorry.

    search [mutou keiji 2010].

  • @yamadago aha...Well, Thanks :)

  • I wont say Hogan because they've already wrestled, muta's match with hogan was awesome, it also showed that hogan can wrestle despite what many say about his ring work. Muta can have an epic match with just about anyone, that's why he's one of the best ever..

  • Awesome video, muta is one of the greatest wrestlers ever, would have loved to have seen him in some dream matches against the likes of The Undertaker, Bret Hart, Kurt Angle, Sabu, RVD, Eddie Guerrero (R.I.P), Shawn Michaels, The Rock, Scott Hall (in his prime), Sheamus, Bryan Danielson, Kane, Booker T, Austin, Batista, and Triple H just to name a few.

  • THE GREAT MUTA IS A LEGEND!!!

  • trying to find the match when he broke out of the cage...please advise

  • right at 1:23, that is one of the single greatest moments in pro wrestling history: the creation of the muta scale.

  • Muta should be meantioned with the alltime greats.

  • i wonder if he invades wwe

  • Keiji Mutoh is definitely in my top 5 puro wrestlers. He's up there with Misawa, Hashimoto, Tanahashi and Nakamura.

  • Where can I buy this?

  • in his prime The Great Muta was one of the best workers on the planet. If you want to compare Muta to a american wrestler.. the closest thing you will find was RVD during his ECW prime or maybe vintage Randy Savage or Juvy when he was young and sober

  • 3:07 is great.

  • When I think of my faves of all time Muta is right up there. growing up I loved Dynamite Kid ,Bret Hart, & Ric Flair. Benoit was as close as Dynamite as you are going to get. Kurt Angle's run in the E was incredible.Muta was just so impressive & has to be respected for what he was able to acheive in the North American market when so few can truly cross over. You add that to what he has done in Japan the guy has to be Top 10 for sure if not in most peoples top 5.

  • @SirFucksALot100 OK Who is trying to start a debate? Um you judging by that ridiculous statement.

  • @TNO73 Was I supposed to know wat the fuck you just said? Cuzz if I was, YOU FAILED!

  • @SirFucksALot100 Well what I meant was that you were trying to get someone to discuss the merits of John Cena vs Keiji Mutoh (The Great Muta) to an extent it worked as I am replying, but just like your original post about Cena being better than Muta you have shown your ignorance & stupidity, by not knowing WHAT (that is the way you spell it by the way) the fuck I was saying. good night. Don't bother I will no longer be feeding the troll. By troll I mean you.

  • @TNO73 WHAT THE FUCK IS A TROLL?!

  • @SirFucksALot100 Lmao, thank god I read this comment. I was in need of a good laugh.

  • @SHUGGZY YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY?! YOU RESPECTLESS DICK AND ASS LICKER!

  • @SirFucksALot100 Hahahah!!! Honestly dude, you just keep getting funnier. First Cena being better than Muta and now this XD!!! Comedy genius I must say.

  • @SHUGGZY WHO'S TRYING TO BE FUNNY?

  • @SirFucksALot100 Why you are of course.

  • @SHUGGZY NO I AM NOT!

  • @SirFucksALot100 sorry bud, but Cena's no where near the level of Keiji Mutoh aka the Great Muta. Not many wrestlers are many of the flash moves seen today are his creation. That's not a knock on Cena. That's just how good Mutoh is and was. There are only a couple wrestlers better in ring than he is probably just Tamura and Sakuraba (course Saku's MMA career is more legendary than his pro wrestling career), Angle, and maybe Hart, maybe.

  • @panther2552 cena is entertainment muta is what wrestling isnt in the u.s.a.

  • @apolanco602 Muta is what wrestling use to be in the states.

  • @panther2552 i still consider him a great wrestler

  • @apolanco602 Muta? aye i agree. when i say he's what wrestling use to be in the states i meant it as a positive. He's one of the greatest ever in my book.

  • @SirFucksALot100 you obviously have no respects for legends, the TRUE sport that is wrestling(its much more of a sport than entertainment then in North America) & you are probably an 10 year old whos only been into the late 2000s wrestling eras. Where you missed out, either all that or your just a complete jerk for dissing the Great Muta

  • The clip of him biting the rope with his NWO makeup is so fucking epic lol.

  • I wish Muta had been featured in the USA more. I remember him in NWA and some WCW but he should have had more exposure. He was phenomenal.

  • @jefferygwatkins Yeah, they really missed the boat on him in the NWA 89-90. He could have easily been a credible NWA champion. I think Jim Ross (I may be mistaken on that) even said recently that Muta could have been a great NWA World Champion during that run. Too bad when Muta did get the NWA Title, it was when the belt lost most of the importance.

  • @austin2090 No doubt. At the end of Crocket Promotions was the worst time for Muta to win. He should have it in 87 or 88, of course, Flair was the mainstay then. I was shocked he was not featured more in the "Rise and Fall of WCW" DVD released last year. But, everybody said that it would have best for folk like Sting to have gone to the WWE instead of staying with WCW. Probably applies to Muta too.

  • @jefferygwatkins I never trust the wwe when they make a DVD of another company because those who talk about it are employed by the wwe so they cannot be taken serious.

  • @JimScythe I hear you. But I do think WWE can be fair now versus ten years ago because there is no competition. Fortunately, folk like Michael Hayes, Jim Ross, Pat Patterson, and other elder statesman of wrestling can usually speak somewhat objectively about other territories like WCW, Mid-South, AWA, WCCW and it be pretty reasonable. Ric Flair, Mic Foley, and others have been known to comment pretty subjectively on those DVD's and to only give their side of the story.

  • @jefferygwatkins You have a valid point there

  • Sting>The Great Muta>The undertaker. Vampyro doesn't count but Ariel the vampiress does.

  • was that the United States' flag? It better not be!!!

  • 3:12 - the face of an icon

  • 2:19 - 2:22

What did Muta do there? He took a flag, spat his green mist on it and the fans were in shock when he did it.

Exactly what stable did that flag represent?

  • @lightning116 from my uploads watch Great Muta vs Shiro Koshinaka...the answer is there.

  • @lightning116 I believe the flag had a New Japan Pro wrestling logo on it, and I know for certain that that was the point he joined nWo Japan

  • He was one big japanese dude !

  • But defiantly, Muta in his prime was awesome, and that's just speaking from clips like this and his match against Hulk Hogan in japan.

  • I never even heard of this guy before Fire Pro Wrestling D... quite the showman, and a classy villain

  • @XSC3 soak up all you can of Keiji Mutoh my friend. you won't be disappointed.

  • @XSC3 Are you refering to Budda Bob? He was based of the Great Muta himself. (Poison Mist, Diving Moonsault, etc.)

  • @jason2anime never heard of that guy either. I meant the Great Muta in general. I didn't watch WCW back in the day but he was basically one of Vampiro's thugs there for awhile (against Sting). Didn't know about that either (or his illustrious career as a heel in Japan and his match with Hulk Hogan).

  • @XSC3 Oh, I know. I was talking about Muta-knockoff, Budda Bob from Fire Pro Wrestling. I have that game on the Game Boy Advance.

  • @jason2anime I see. Then it must be him. I have never touched the GBA versions, but I am a proud owner and avid fan of Fire Pro D (Dreamcast) and Returns (PS2). Every game in the series, if I'm not mistaken, duplicates real life pro wrestling characters and gives them names (that rhyme or give a hint of who they are supposed to be), due to licensing issues.

  • I used to love his handicap matches in the US. Spankin 3 jobbers at a time. Thanks for this video; nice job.

  • I remember when Sting and Muta were allies...good time in Wrestling. Back when it was less about stories and more about guys wrestling. I love the Attitude Era and the gimmicks, but I miss the days where 20 - 30 minute matches were the norm.

  • @CMJoker dude Muta VS sting was one of the top 5 rivalries of all time. They were ok as allies, but as enemies they had no equal

  • @kflyy8888 yeah, I see that back before Sting adopted his "crow" makeup, he and Muta were wrestling one another. There are actually tons of matches hosted overseas that I never saw or even knew about, most of which are more entertaining than the stuff I've seen stateside. Just seeing the "Wrestlefest" at the Tokyo Dome made me think I'd really missed out on some of the best matches of the americans

  • @XSC3 you should watch any super J cup tournet

  • @CMJoker Yeah, seems when wrestlers get older, it makes sense, they can't flip and slam as much, so they resort to the hardcore staples... slapping each other with weapons and short gimmicky matches with people running in to interfere, etc. just one step away from having a stunt double run in for Sean Connery or Harrison Ford.

  • this show is crazy fantacy

  • muta looks scary. ;(

  • Why WCW nor NJPW never did Muta vs Randy Savage feud with a blowoff in a CAGE is BEYONG me.

  • Hey my cusin told me bout this wresler guy and he said that like most wreslin is fake but this one guy is real. is this the guy??? cuz it looked like he rly punch that one guy

  • @ajax420336

shinya hashimoto(the really fat japanese wrestler) also did shootfighting(mixed martial arts) which is not pre determined, so he is probably the wrestler your friend was talking about. either that or maybe brock lesnar or ken shamrock.

in pro wrestling the outcome is fixed, but taking those bumps still hurts like hell.

  • @iconoclasm12345 nahh it was my cusin not my frend lol. like it was this dude who was a wreslre and he like punch this guy for real and everyone was like ohh shit and he kepp doin it like every time he wresle and no one could stop him and the wwf guy like told him u cant do that for wwf and stuff

  • tokioの山口にマネしてほしい

  • Great video.

  • i think sting was the only one who could actually work with muta they had some awsome matches

  • nice vid

  • i really like this guy

  • Not to smear but to share with other pro wrestling fans, I have a title belt signed by over SIXTY pro wrestler talent, including the great muta, jushin thunder liger, stone cold, brock lesnar, shawn micheals, bill goldberg and more. It's in my videos.

title belt2010 Thanks for letting me share this with you.The Great Muta has always been a favorite of mine.

  • The wreslter with all the japanese script on his chest, is it real or fake?.

  • @jonquil4000 its writing and his names hakushi he use2be in the wwf

  • I would have to say its real cause that would be quite a task putting that on front and back every time, and watch how it doesnt seem to fade during a match

  • Did Muta ever fight Sabu? Or will that just have to stay as a fantasy match of mine?

  • wrestling its enterteinment, its for fun, the wrestlers are atlhetes but its like a coreographic.

  • not back then for mexico and japan it was a serious job but in america they made it fake in the 80's

  • Muta & Sting would have made a great tag team. as Heels. Muta would have taught him the mist! OVER LIKE A MU F***A!!!

  • Muta is the Japanese Undertaker.

Or should I say, Undertaker is the american Great Muta.

  • you know wwe is fake and japanese wrestling is real?!

  • Both are SCRIPTED, not fake.

A WWE script saying you need to fall off the cage, fall off it, break you're arm.

Japanese script, fall on bawbd wiya, get you're back cut.

  • uhhh have you seen them stomp on the ground when they punch or stomp,or a ddt that doesnt even land on the ground wwe is fake every TRUE wrestling fan knows that!

  • I just fucking told you that.

But its SCRIPTED, something like a suplex dosent hurt if performed correctly, but spots like cage falling can hurt.

  • hey you said its not fake dumbass! and people like mick foley and hardcore holly can do that shit cause there stuntman!

  • Look up EVERY single wrestling source, yes they're stuntman, dosent take away the fact that its not fake.

  • i only said the wwe wwf was real in most parts.

  • Thats the same goddamn promotion

  • yeah but at mthe 90's it was more real the chair shots, the hell in the cell but now its for kids Undertaker is only there for money so is Rey Mysterio they know its fake its just money for them.

  • You are the most stupid piece of shit I have ever seen in my few years of wrestling discussion

First off, It was for the kids when it started, Hulk Hogan and all of bobby heenans shenanigans, scripted, normal elbow drop dosent hurt, bad elbow drop does.

Then it went all attitewd, dude and stuff, normal tombstone dosent hurt, a bad tombstone breaks youre neck.

Its ALWAYS been scripted, plus, Undertaker is the fucking head of the locker room, he is dedicated as fuck despite being 49.

  • @GameMaster614 ....what?

Wrestling has changed but it's cyclic. It had always been for children. What you're complaining about is "sports entertainment" written by ex-TV writers vs. the cool and creative stuff of the past in the WWF or in wrestling in general. Maybe you should watch more wrestling to get a grasp of what you mean to say.

  • most companies like ecw never wanted children involved ecw had no merchindise for children so does tna but wwe has a website for children and was the first companie that did that which was gay!

  • @GameMaster614 Yeah but that was ECW's market. And that was part of a cyclic change. How does that disprove the notion that wrestling's biggest audience has always been kids and big kids (adults)?

  • ok american wrestling is fake but mexican and some japanese wrestling is real even in the 90's while america had it all planned fake

  • @GameMaster614 all wrestling is fake you noob

  • lol you must be a retard you dont even know what companie im talking about and who says noob now thats for fags.

  • Nowhere, and I repeat: NOWHERE is Professional Wrestling "real"! What you are probably talking about is, that japanese Wrestling is stiffer then American Wrestling (God please tell me, that you have at least enough wrestling knowledge to know what "stiff" means). Pro Wrestling is scripted. Every Idiot knows, that you can't do certain moves if your oponent doesn't cooperate. Saying that Wrestling isn't staged in Japan and especially MEXICO(!) where they're flying all over the place is just stupid

  • i was meaning back then dumbass it was real back in the 70's

  • Yeah, you know what? I'm watching a match between Tsuruta and Funk right now from 76, and it looks like the same good old scripted wrestling that I grew up with in the 90s and are watching to this day. And in the US in the 70s there was already a jet flyin, limosine ridin, kiss stealin, wheelin dealin son of a gun who worked as scripted as every other guy at that time. And I doubt it was different with Lucha Libre.

  • well then watch old lucha libre dumbass!

  • Ah now we're down to lucha libre being real in the 70s. A few posts ago it seemed as if you wanted to tell us, that all of wrestling even WWF was real in the 80s or 90s. I'm not really into Mexican wrestling so enlighten me: which Lucha Libre Match from the 70s was real for example? If you can name one, I will shut up..for a while. And you don't have to add the word "dumbass" to every single sentence to prove that you seem to be one yourself.

  • mil mascaras vs canek, andre the giant vs canek,Pegesus kid(chris benoit) vs villano i think...

  • Then it's the same scripted stuff like in USA or Japan, because I doubt that Andre or Benoit ever participated in matches that weren't scripted. As far as I know, there were matches in the 50s or so, were it was still "real" with matches that went 3-5 hours, but everything from the 70s on in every country will have been Pro Wrestling as we all know it today. Sure WWE is kids stuff nowadays, but just because the japanese and indies strike harder it doesn't mean, they fight for real.

  • dude have you even seen the matches the one of canek vs andre was epic and had nothing fake in it! it was all old school, and benoit had a mask vs mask match so yeah it had no punch stomps either

  • But just because punches don't have a silly stomp added to them like in WWE, it doesn't mean, that it's a real fight. It just means, that the strikes are stiffer and therefore more realistic. Have you ever seen Kawada taking the most brutal Elbowshots from the late great Misawa? I wouldn't take these for all the money in the world, but it's still scripted (I don't like the term fake in wrestling).

  • ok did you see the fuckin match or not!

  • I just watched both matches, and I'm still amazed at how ANYBODY could think, that these were real fights instead of normal wrestling matches. Sure the Benoit match was a very nice technical submission based match, but that's to be expected from Benoit. And the Andre Match? c'mon who would be able to armdrag Andre in real life? If you think those matches were real, you shouldn't be allowed to watch Homicide vs Corino or Low Ki vs KENTA. You'd think they're trying to kill each other.

  • well the andre match andre was like 405 pounds and canek was 325 pounds and the benoit match was still cool but if it was fake it would be scripted and there are no segments or promos just wrestling.

  • A Wrestling match doesn't need to be scripted but it still has a predetermined outcome and the wrestlers involved work together (not agains each other) to perform a match. The wrestlers talk to each other during restholds like sleeperholds and such, to discuss what move sequence to do next. Really great wrestlers are able to read the crowd and direct the match according to their reaction. The only move for move scripted match I know about was Hogan vs Warrior from WM6.

  • yeah but in japan the crowd is siclence.

  • mostly. But in many AJPW Matches from the 90s and also many NOAH Matches the crowd was red hot. And even a silent crowd will pop for a big move and a hot finishing sequence. Good Wrestlers know when and what they have to do during a match to tell a good match story and keep the audience entertained. I became a huge King's Road fan after watching these kind of matches, because the build up to the hot finish is almost always great and gets the audiences attention.

  • Because they respect the wrestlers.

  • That's like saying the 2010 draft was real because it had hardly any promos.

  • FFS, man. It's called being stiff to try and suspend your disbelief.

  • The only goddamn time it was even close to real was in the early 20th century where some matches were performed under shoot rules. And that died out with Lou Thesz's title reign.

  • actually Pancrase in Japan was running legit fights while still considering itself a "pro hybrid wrestling" promotion. Of course it was the forerunner to MMA. Gotta remember alot of "pro wrasslin" comes from Catch wrestling a real fighting style, made famous in modern day by Sakuraba. We've even seen some crazy "wwe" type moves in Pride FC such as bodyslams, powerbombs, boston crabs and on a couple occassions attempted piledriver type moves.

  • @Pcfan11 totally, they are both the Phenoms of their respective countries. That said,Taker using the mist would be a greaaaat twist to his character, imagine a blue/purple mist!Just awesome!

  • It's hard to think of a situation where he would use it though.

  • @Pcfan11

The Shining Wizard would be awesome in a real fight...especially if you can manage to mount the opponent's knee.

  • Of course, if you feel your kneecap, it's the second hardest bone asides from your skull, an if you add velocity to the already painful knee, you'd be knocked out.

  • Muta and super sting is the best team !!!

  • Tajiri wuz a Great Muta wannabe.... best wrestler in the world hands down! shining wizard best move in the world

  • A wannabe? Dumb statement. He's paying HOMAGE to somebody he's idolized in the business! I have no doubt that Tajiri has had Mutoh's blessing.

They have worked with one another on a number of occasions and if anyone has earned the respect of Mutoh it is most definitely Tajiri.

  • 3:03, Who is he fighting with?

  • Power Warrior a.k.a Kensuke Sasaki

  • Comment removed

  • GRAITOOOOOOOOOOO MUTAAAAAAAAAA

  • Muta with NWO and WCW paint.. So weird.

  • What heck was all that about with Sting at the beginning ? I thought they were enemies ?
