Like almost all Storm premier balls, the Invasion was amazing for half a season and then it just died. I've found it's hit or miss with Storm when it comes to ball life. I guess it doesn't help that the Invasion also has a pretty thin coverstock. I did get the Prodigy though and that ball is amazing. Has lasted me about 3 league seasons now and still has the same ball reaction.

lol dude youre not a cranker...youre sort of a mix of a tweener and a cranker if that makes sense. amount of hook doesnt matter, heck, less hook=more power. straighter is greater. get your backswing down and timing more in tact and then youll have a solid game
@MrBigdady313 how? is not the simplest way from point A to point B a straight line? not saying i bowl straight lol my revs are in the 540s, but looking back at my comment there, it did sound pretty arrogant lol. throw it cross lane and the ball looses energy in the 2 transitions, from skid to hook, and from hook to roll. throw it straighter with less axis and it doesnt waste as much energy in transitioning and can convert more of that energy into the pins.
agree with you on the continuation through the pin deck but ive noticed that on a fresh house shot it will hit dead pocket and will push past the 9 pin and just leave a stone cold 9 like you did at 0:15 yet i leave it even when i am deeper in the pocket. the only way i have found to stop this is decrease rev's but when i do that i loose the massive pin reaction. any ideas on how to fix that?
and a quick question what surface do you have on your invasion?
@guffnuh my bad bro it just looked like it in this video. i bowl very similar to you but my foot speed is a little slower i have two problems i have a hard time pushing the ball out i tend to throw it straight instead of right. and when i go to tournaments my ball doesnt like to move i have to slow way down and then my accuracy starts to get bad.(the house i shoot at has real wood lanes and most of the tournaments i go to have synthetic). what ball would you recomend. i throw a black widow bite
@kyledavidkessler I have 4 300s none of them are posted on the site, Its the alleys responsibly to report everything properly. These are in league, I might just have a crappy local alley but from my experience not all league 300s are reported to USBC.

this definately isnt a flatter shot... look at the first shot, then look at how much right you passed that on your next shot on that lane. but it is probably heavier. nice video

yeah i used to be a big hammer guy but after my sauce died after about 1000 games and i wasted my money on the jigsaw i went to storm and never looked back....their balls hit just if hard if not harder and overall are just a better quality ball....the only hammers i will buy are the vibes

Hey, I just got the Reign Supreme like an hour ago I'm going to go use it I'll tell you how it is compared to my Reign the man in the pro shop i got it in says its about 4-8 boards stronger than the Reign. Just thought you should know if you are gonna be getting it one.
@guffnuh for me my Reign Supreme is about 2 dots stronger than my Reign it is a very good ball make a video of it once you get it, i went bowling tonight with my friend and because they had all these black lights and crap on i couldnt see my mark and i still had a low game of 180. Very GOOD :)

im with guffnuh. Anything with a lightning bolt on the ball (storm) is great for a month or so.....then its just a spare ball. Thats why i dont bowl with storm.

But the reason you can shoot 650-700 in a league with one ball is because your backswing is in the sky, so you throw the ball 400 MPH. Nice video, but ya the invasion does die out fast, and dude 300man, its called the plague not the plaque, but i do agree with you about hammers new bowling balls being better than storms new ones.My hammer jigsaw corner and onyx vibe have great reactions, and i just ordered a hammer burn the other day.I am still a fan of storms older stuff such as the hy-road,virtual energy,reign, second dimension, and rapid fire though.
Looks pretty decent. If you stay down, and don't grab on it as much in the upswing, it would probably read a little better for you downlane. but all in all, the ball looks great and you have a lot of potential.

you need to not force the ball and slow your feet down a bit, Your approach is unsteady and accuracy is low because of this. Just a tip, it can help a lot with the whole you not hitting the same spot twice thing. not trying to hate on you, just trying to help out, plus by the time you are 40 you shoulder/arm will be screwed up from this.

You could try out the Reign of Fire, I just buy it yesterday and it's agressivness are insane ! I did not bowl with a Storm Invasion but The reign of Fire it's a great ball, you miss a thing if you don't try this ball !
@downtheout only 1 300 is USBC certified, another is JBT certified, and the rest of the 300's were in practice. as for the 800's, 1 in practice, one in an unsanctioned tournament :P id is 6850-18. for the JBT certified 300, i still got a ring, but it was a JBT ring instead of a USBC ring. the JBT's arent USBC sanctioned
@guffnuh The swing is forced, and the entire motion is unnatural, and far from fluid. Your feet are done moving, and you haven't even started your downswing. I'd bet you spend quite a bit of time clipping 7 pins or clearing the left ditch.

@tbizzle777, i bowled on the open championships pattern today and averaged 206 for 10 games, and in the JBT's in spokane i average 204, and those tournaments are at almost every house in the area.

There's really nothing flat about that pattern at all. You had a few shots break around 13-14 and some out as far a 5-6 and they all just walked back to the pocket. Which screams "wall shot!" You have a consistent release which is good, you generally let go of the ball the same way. The super-high back swing is throwing the timing of your shots off though, which is why the accuracy is not very good. Ideally the backswing should never go higher than the ball starts initially in your stance.

@guffnuh Look, I never said you weren't a good bowler. From what these videos show, you can hit your mark almost every shot for the most part.. but really, yeah, pro bowlers do sort of buy their talent. If you can bring 4 bowling balls to a totally screwed lane condition, find a mark, and hit, then you're a pro.

Nice video, but ya the invasion does die out fast, and dude 300man, its called the plague not the plaque, but i do agree with you about hammers new bowling balls being better than storms new ones.My hammer jigsaw corner and onyx vibe have great reactions, and i just ordered a hammer burn the other day.I am still a fan of storms older stuff such as the hy-road,virtual energy,reign, second dimension, and rapid fire though.

Looks pretty decent. If you stay down, and don't grab on it as much in the upswing, it would probably read a little better for you downlane. but all in all, the ball looks great and you have a lot of potential.

you clearly do not know what a cranker is, your more of a tweener. Cranker is a release type, so called plant the ball.
You dont have a lot of revs either, your approach is terrible, you hit the lane hard and have no knee bend.
maybe work on your footwork and approach and youll look better.

you need to not force the ball and slow your feet down a bit, Your approach is unsteady and accuracy is low because of this. Just a tip, it can help a lot with the whole you not hitting the same spot twice thing. not trying to hate on you, just trying to help out, plus by the time you are 40 you shoulder/arm will be screwed up from this.

You could try out the Reign of Fire, I just buy it yesterday and it's agressivness are insane ! I did not bowl with a Storm Invasion but The reign of Fire it's a great ball, you miss a thing if you don't try this ball !

@downtheout only 1 300 is USBC certified, another is JBT certified, and the rest of the 300's were in practice. as for the 800's, 1 in practice, one in an unsanctioned tournament :P id is 6850-18. for the JBT certified 300, i still got a ring, but it was a JBT ring instead of a USBC ring. the JBT's arent USBC sanctioned

@guffnuh The swing is forced, and the entire motion is unnatural, and far from fluid. Your feet are done moving, and you haven't even started your downswing. I'd bet you spend quite a bit of time clipping 7 pins or clearing the left ditch.

not impressed, lilac is a ditch with a funnel to the hole. plus your are no where near where you need to be fundamentally to score on any pattern that has less taper. have the mechanic put out something tough and actually practice.

@tbizzle777, i bowled on the open championships pattern today and averaged 206 for 10 games, and in the JBT's in spokane i average 204, and those tournaments are at almost every house in the area.

I am not trying to cut down anyone. I've coached youth and high school kids for years and I want everyone to succeed at bowling, thus the comments. I am also a student of the game and strive to get better myself, so if you can pick 10 things out of my bowling to help me, then by all means. I uploaded my first video the other day throwing the new Lane #1 Curve. As far as Guffnuh, keep working at it man, you're good and with work could be really good.

There's really nothing flat about that pattern at all. You had a few shots break around 13-14 and some out as far a 5-6 and they all just walked back to the pocket. Which screams "wall shot!" You have a consistent release which is good, you generally let go of the ball the same way. The super-high back swing is throwing the timing of your shots off though, which is why the accuracy is not very good. Ideally the backswing should never go higher than the ball starts initially in your stance.
