  • my question is if i have a kb will this still work with it

  • @93GTP KB's will work in a compound setup, but the KB blower already makes so much boost that its not always the ideal head unit to use unless you have a big set of turbos to compliment it, and you intend to make MASSIVE power.

  • This video literally makes me cry!!! I LOVE COBRAS!!!!!!!!! 2004 Mustang Special Vehicle Team Cobra "Terminator" for life!!!!!!

  • I'm not really familiar with compound boost systems, but why are you only revving to 5300ish rpms? Seems to me that power would be more effective long range?

  • I hardly know anything about turbos so if the previous question seems stupid i apologize

  • is the 91mm the best you got?

  • holey shit dude that's crazy but just wondering what song was that I'm pretty shire that was iced earth but what was the name of the song thou?

  • ..about 650 horse so I would need a pretty conservative tune but thats only until I get or make a new motor, I got a shorblock from sean hyland motorsports for my car that they say is only rated for 600 horse but they assure me I can go past that somewhat, they also have a 1000 horse shortblock and i believe a 1200 horse shortblock, I shuld have gotten the 1000 horse shortblock, Im gona start lookin into the hellion twin turbo kit, everybody asks me y not the kb or whipple, I say compound boost

  • In the end of the video it said 900 horse at 25 psi, that means that the turbos were makin 25psi right thats no combine boost between the supercharger and the turbos right? You said the factory supercharger so thats prolly making 10 psi and im guessing you have the turbos set at 25 psi. I just supercharged my 01 cobra with an eaton supercharger, I have an aluminum block with all forged internals obviously its not the factory motor but I plan on doing this twin turbo setup but I only wanna make..

  • Do you even think that a 96 4.6L could even handle that kind of boost?

  • I read about this car the article said it was on something crazy like 40-70psi i can't remeber exactly though.

  • how long did the engine last at 900hp? and what exactly did you do to the fuel system? how much boost also..i'm gonna guess above 25psi?

  • beast!!! stock internals?

  • hey to whomever wondered what supercharging and turbo is both in working order together is called compound boosting hey craig i have been told that it makes more efficient power to use just the turbos is this true or not?

  • @ikaikaboy88 I have also seen it in person and they called it Twin Charged. It's a another name!

  • @77erman

twin charged refers to supercharged/turbo combo. Compound boost is specific to twin turbochargers combined with the supercharger. There were many mr2's that ran twin charging in the mid 90's

  • @ikaikaboy88 Commonly, but not always, you do get more top end power with turbos alone but at the price of less low rev torque = less useful on the street reducing low rev acceleration because of the narrower torque band. Does that answer your question.

  • The supercharger is a stock m112, the turbos are 60mm turbonetics, stock engine internals... Fuel delivery system is upgraded very heavily... This car was subbed by hellion systems as the "manhattan project" check it out on muscle mustangs/ fast fords... One or the other I reckon

  • Few questions.

Do you have to run a scavenge pump with the set up?

Are the turbo's behind the fog light bezels?

  • do you have different heads or pistons..or factory?

  • wow!!! how much would it cost to have that done to my cobra??? its stock now only exhaust

  • what exhaust is this? sounds like kooks lts kooks x and flows

  • @biggwill21931 its says in the video 3" bassani

  • @billyoconnell i fast fowarded that and i meant the entire exhaust setup not just the catback

  • Umm....Yeah I just pee'd myself..How hard is this thing to tune?is it on speed density?

  • when I pay it off, that shit will be on my cobra!

  • @powerviking thats exactly what i said lol

  • do you have the stock, svt supercharger??

  • was this with a stock or ported m112?

  • Why are the dyno pulls so short in RPM??? Only 5500 rpm????

  • @forged420a 5500 is about redline in a mustang

  • @mxrider487 No its not. Its 6500. Cobras atleast.

  • Is this hard to tune?I have heard on quite a few forums that it is easier to just run a intake and throttle body and sell the SC.

  • Cant wait till i can get back state side to get me a cobra just like this with the twin turbos, I seriously look at your guys web site everyday in anticapation to buying this amazing work of art from you guys lol!!!! Love everything you guys do and keep it up!!! O yea and everyone surrport our troups out there, just like me lol!!!

  • Yowww. 914 HP and it's streetable....talk about your ultimate sleeper...( well..as much as a bright red Cobra can can be considered a sleeper ) I mean..ya kinda expect a Cobra to run good but how many people would suspect this things pumpin out nearly a 1000 HP...excellent job guys!!

  • thats one nasty idle with just the kit and a cbe

  • grenade waiting to happen

  • 900hp + and still a dd

  • Was ANYTHING else done to this car??? Is the motor stock??? I was thinking of getting one of these kits

  • @forged420a The 03-04 Cobras come fully forged but even these power levels are too high for it's "stock" block as you call it. H-beams, Manley pistons, forged crank. You're gonna need CP pistons and billet I-beams to run this power safely along with a whole slew of fuel system upgrades and suspension/rear end upgrades. This is some serious power. You'll have some say it's safe, we see bent H-beams come into the shop on a regular basis...they sure dont look "safe" folded in half...

  • @helloman1976 So how horsepower can I run safely on my motor without risking detonation??? I am either going to get this kit, or the Mammoth, and well I need some more info on this kit.

  • @forged420a With a forged crank, H-beams and manley pistons you can run about 800BHP very safely. With an aluminum drive shaft you get about a 22% drop from HP at the flywheel threw a manual transmission. So that's about 625rwhp-650rwhp. The H-beams will be your weak link here and they are rated at 850BHP, h-beams are not designed to rev real high either, so about 7,000rpm maximum. If you want more than 850BHP you need to go billet I-beam and CP pistons.

  • @helloman1976 What is 800BHP but in rear wheel horsepower?? My goals were to get as close to 800rwhp with the "stock" motor. Do you think that is possible??

  • @forged420a 800BHP through a manual tranny, like the 6060 or 3650, and aluminum drive shaft would be 625HP at the wheels. You CAN do 800rwhp on a Cobra motor but not safely so it would all boil down to how you drive it at that point. The rods are rated for 850BHP so the most you should put at the wheels is 650rwhp max. There will be many people who tell you it will work. It WILL work, just for how long and the harder you drive it the shorter it'll last. We see blown 03-04 Cobra motors daily.

  • @helloman1976 WOW! Good thing I talked to you first. Thanks for the advice man, I really appreciate it.

  • I just like the blow off sound.

  • lol listen to that idle, ridiculous

  • I"m sold on all these sweet rideswith these systems, but can we now start seeing videos of CHEVY "sacrifices" to the horsepower gods!!

  • thats because ford's got good shit to work with son!

  • question, is the 25lbs of boost compound from both the supercharger and turbo or just 25 lbs from the turbo and what ever the supercharger is boosted at?

  • boath combined

  • song please

  • The song is by Travel In Stygian

    Iced Earth

  • Tremec bought the t5 and t45 so they have been doing the trans for a long time.

  • if i ever had to own a ford its be a 03-04 cobra with a hellion kit

wat other car can do 900hp plus stock engine on pumpgas with meth

    not many

so 03-04 if i EVER had to drive a ford

    GOOD SHIT HELLION!

  • how the hell they get the stock transmission to handle all that power?

  • Believe it or not FORD has a great combination The engine can take a 1,000hp. The Transmission is a Tremec t-56 strong by itself. That trans is use in a the BIG THREE cars, the VETTE, CAMARO, VIPER, CHALLENGER, AND the Mustang was the first to uses it!

  • It was actually the viper, then the f body and vette. I'm pretty sure that the 03-04 cobras are the only fords to ever get a t56. Gotta love those forged iron block 4v's!!!!!

  • you sure its not a t45 i thought the cobras where 5 spd not 6spd also the gt500 uses a 6spd tremec

  • The 03-04 cobras had the t56. The 99-01's had the t45.

  • as much as i am an import guy i just love these termis. they are so awesome. to this date i believe these are the best handling mustangs.

  • how much did this set up cost?

  • 7,495+Fuel System Uprade+Spec 5 Clutch/26 Spline+Install/Tune=around 13,000

  • Your stang is sick!

  • That is insane!!! That was to the wheels. DAMN!!! NOW GO FIND A BUGATTI and chase him

  • bugatti would be the one playing chase up lol

  • Yeah even know Bugati has 4 turbo's I bet the Cobra would beat it until about 160mph

  • fair enough bro the cars a monster

  • Comment removed

  • i miss the whining though :(

  • what if you add a kenne bell supercharger?? would that just fuck the engine up? power overload?

  • Yes. It definitely would since Kenne Bells are twin screw which compress air in between the lobes the screws unlike a "roots" style blowers that pumps air into motor. Hence, turbos build enough heat, so why would you want more when that is your motor's worst enemy especially with twin screw that really cannot tolerate heat at all.

  • What did you do to tranny and IRS?

  • It's called "compound boost" they've made over 1100 hp at the wheels on Cobras with this combination. You need an IRS brace, Level 5 axle upgrade from the Driveshaft Shop, they have a web site or switch the rear for a built 8.8 live axle, and you need a heavy duty 26 spline input shaft put in the T56 trans with a Spec stage 3+ or spec twin disc clutch with 26 splines. Subframe connectors would be a plus and drag radials or slicks. If you hook up there won't be many cars you can't outrun.

  • now what about upgradeing to the best root's style supercharger, worth it or more trouble than worth?

  • @borlastngrs

Not worth the money the stock s/c is just fine since they are only running it at low boost prob like 5-7psi they are pretty efficient at lower levels, the turbos are making the big boost here, and thats the point of theese systems have instant low end and big top end, so no turbo lag and without all the power loss of a s/c making high boost,

  • i was thinking that too. lol idk if it can be done, u def need a cowl hood to start but if so, ur making like 1000whp easily on 93 and meth lol.

  • that would be so sick as a daily driver, maybe someday. would there be no way to make the superchrger the primary (a whipple 4.0) then add a small turbo? or would that just do the same as adding a turbo setup to the stock eaton?

  • A. they dont have a 4.0 whipple for the cobra's yet. B. Kenne Bell themselves said that the seals will not hold the pressure, a twin screw operates differently than a roots supercharger because it compresses air in the case, not the manifold. A few people tried it, it failed and Kenne Bell couldn't do anything for them, so they went with a ported eaton. The goal of this kit is more midrange hp and tq, set up right, it will dominate a TT cobra.

  • Think of it like this, a TT cobra may make 900 hp but 500 tq at 3000 rpms, a compound boost cobra will make say 800 hp peak, but a much flatter powerband making close to 700 tq from 3000 rpms on. I'm just using these numbers to give you an idea of the concept.

  • What a horrible powerband for a twin charged car... lol

  • Alright now show it on the street Fag

  • Supercharged and Turbocharged at the same time? Wow that is just amazing. How does this work?

  • basically the twin turbos blow into through the intercooler as usual and then straight into the intake of the supercharger..... thats the most simple explanation

  • Amazing. :)

  • yep its pretty cool, considering you get the best of both worlds :)

  • Oh man, I forgot about how awesome this vid is! Thanks for commenting back craig. I have your number and will be giving you a call once I have some money saved up for this kit! I've heard nothing but good things about your company and turbo systems from fellow cobra owners. and btw 914 hp and 921 lb. ft is not bad for a daily driver! Awesome car. Can't wait to get my kit! :)

  • how long does it take to install this kit? thinking of getting this for my 04.how much dyno time to dial in this set up (compoud b).

  • how much that kit run u??

  • 7500 i think

  • Manley rods stock FTW!

  • How exactly does this work? I mean, is there a bypass on the S/C once the turbos kick in or? just curious.

  • It's too much to explain here, but no the supercharger is always functioning. Call and ask for Craig @ 505-873-4670 and I will explain it all to you if you want.

  • @Hellion94 buddys got this set up and spins um doin 70! Love it! What song is this!?

  • Hey guys, this is Craig from Hellion.

We plan on testing the kit with different engines (such as Ford Racing's Aluminator) as well as different, larger superchargers and bigger turbos. Keep an eye out.

  • Ive got a 427R Trak Pak can you hook me up

  • hmm im interested in seeing how the aluminator takes to the set-up, the 8.5 compression one is only like $6,200 damn good deal.

  • well the ford svt block car handle 2000hp thats right a stock block can handle 2000hp if you don't believe me look it

  • yeah if it had the capibility to have an aftermarket SC along with the TT's forget it, this would be the fastest car in the world

  • put a whipple supercharger on it:D

  • This car is so sick!! It sounds amazing with that loud ass bov!! but i wanna see more vids of this kit!!

  • I saw the dyno chart and choked on a Fruit Loop.... o_____o Jesus....

  • What is the top speed?

  • as long as i've been into mustangs, i didnt know anyone to run both supercharger and turbo... wow. thumbs up, bet she has constant torque..

  • Cool. I didn't know there was a vid of this floating around. I loved the magazine article!

  • Whats the top speed and 0-60 time? You guys need to get on tv and race the bugatti veyron.

  • your a fucking idiot...top speed isnt limited to power noob dick...he'll run out of gears before anything....that car isnt made for top speed...its for the drag strip...0-60 time? haha like anyone with a modded car gives a shit...it goes down the track in low 9 sec passes... so take your car pamphlet reading ass to some other video ass!

  • fuck you. you like civics your the real faggot. he had some questions and you have to be a dick. good job buddy..fucking retard

  • damn dude, nice car and fucking awesome you listen to Iced Fucking Earth!!! \m/

  • More vids of this car PLEASE!!!

  • ah!!!! thats just mouthwatering sickness right there. great music also.

  • Ann Boleyn would be proud.

  • This Hellraiser kit is sick....you guys gotta get some more video of this car on the street or at the track

  • I've always admired Hellion. This is just sick. Don't forget FUEL FUEL FUEL people don't skimp on it!

  • wow the potential that car has, all yall did was slap on twin turbos and doubled the power.

  • Thats some awesome engineering in figuring out to make that setup work well. I can only imagine how the ride would be and not to mention the sound your gonna get from the twins and the blower. Great job guys and keep up the good work, and the championships. :)

  • Thanks guys, we appreciate the compliments and support. Stop by at one of the NMRA races this year and say hello, we'd love to have you.

  • Listen to the exhaust when its ideling that car has been cammed i can hear the lope

  • The car is 100% stock. All we did was O-ring the block to seal the cylinders better, other than that it's totally legitimately stock. lying about that would do us no good, it's not like we are selling the kits to people that don't know anything about the cars, they would notice if something was up.

  • dammmmmmmm

  • whats been done to the bottom end

  • Nothing. the engine itself is totally stock. We O-ringed the block to get a better cylinder seal at the high boost levels, but the internals, the block, the heads, and the blower/intake are all stock.

  • Um, how do you suppose you're going to get 1600HP. This dimension has it's limits ya know.

  • We aren't trying to get 1,600 hp with this car.

This was just to show what a stock Cobra could do with one of our kits. The car has already made about 1,390 flywheel HP. It will make 1,600 with a built motor, bigger blower, and the 66mm turbos, or a built motor with no supercharger and the 76mm turbos.

  • thats a fuckin beast

  • wow that sounds like the end of the world is comin at you... kudos on the build man nice work

  • Thanks. Hellion built the kit, not me personally. It's a complete kit, available for sale to anyone. I work there, but did not actually build the kit myself.

  • all i know is that it doesn't work with a twin screw supercharger, only the stock roots style eaton.

  • now why would u say that??

  • Awesome...but can you hook it up???

  • That is insane- just INSANE.

  • gay

  • was that i mustang dyno it was on when you got those numbers? lol

  • Thats why we stock kits!!=) Great Vid.

  • oh my god

  • Yikes... I thought I was in the big boys club w/ a 19psi Whipple and 600+rwhp. Very cool to see a turbo/supercharger combo.

  • INSANE!!!!

  • Holy shit!!! Im ordering two!

  • Cool. That's a lot of power for the street.
