As a 16 yr. old with CF I can say most of the people posting here have no clue. I have been blessed enough to have a very mild case of CF and have been able to fight through it. I play sports and am in fairly good shape. But I do know how the inability to be active, the wheezing, all of that feels. To say "I feel horrible, this is so sad" does NOTHING to help anyone get over anything. In the end people have to live with what they got and just fight through it.
Now is it wrong to try to comfort someone and offer support to the people who are fighting it? No, but to just say his story is a pathetic and sad story does nothing.
If anyone who knows the family happens to see this comment though, I will be moving down to Tampa again in the summer of 0'10 to carry out my senior year there. Any emotional, physical, etc. kind of support or simply experience that I can offer I would be more than willing to give to the little dude. So feel free to send a msg
