Its probably running a chipped ecu, raising your redline above stock is to keep you higher up in the power band. Duh its not gonna last long going to 9 grand, he's only spinning 8k, and h22s are good to 8k all day.

@georgesak if hes running stock cams it will stop making power well before 8200 so its almost pointless to rev it to much past 7000 enless it has aftermarket cams then it should be good till about 8600 then it will need aftermarket valvetrain for more but there a good idea to upgrade before that anyway

Was wondering what your top speed is with the b16 tranny? or how is your mpg?

I've heard people talk about using a jdm gsr tranny over the b16; personally i'm thinking of using a 97+ ITR tranny, and leaving an open option for a little FI maybe like 8lbs . Haven't been able to find any personal advice from someone with an h2b set up.
