My fiance and I watched him play another interesting instrument when we stayed with him in Sydney with my parents. We watched him play the Saw with a violin bow, we video'd it too I will upload and convert the video when I get the chance. Lol

That's great news that he can see. I read something about him playing the saw but I haven't seen him since about 1984( not sure of the year) when he stayed with us in Utah. He found my sisters old violin and took it for himself( Tongan style). I'm planning a trip to Tonga in Dec. and if he's there I'll stop by and say hello. If you talk to him again, tell him we spoke. My mothers name is Saane. He'll know.

I don't know how I'm related to Sione Aleki, but my mother is from Kolonga and when Sione was in town back in the 80's he stayed with us.

Yes this is my uncle. He is Sione Aleki Johansson son of my grandfather Alexander Johansson. I was in Sydney with him for 6 days just gone he flew back to Tonga on Monday just gone. My mum and the family donated money for his eye operation and the good news now is that he can finally see! He is no longer blind!
