  • Nice song! I like Fantasia voice!

  • All of this arguing over a song?

  • well this conversation does not concern me and i can understand every bit of it. but i do belive that scott's comment was highly unneeded, and arguing this will get no where. no matter how hard u try people have been raised on some of the same morals. even though it is against the law to be racist, what does this country do? they slap you on the wrist and say dont do it again... not very effective...

  • wtf, adavid8605, you are so full of shit, give it up. you just keep responding to Zeb's comments by saying the same thing with a different word added in, shut the fuck up...

  • Listen, I don't know who you are but this conversation does not concern you. It is far above anything you can understand and I will not justify this foolish and ignorant comment with a response. Have a nice day!

  • It's quite funny to me to see people get mad about women having songs about men, but don't men have songs portraying women in a bad light? and I don't necessarily think this song portrays men in a bad light anyways. Men are the dominant group when it comes to respect, treatment, financial and any other status under the sun. So spare me the whole crap about all men aint the same because women get categorized and generalized more than men and men get their egos stroked enough!!

  • That is a very steriotypical viewpoint of men. I don't condone songs calling girls trashy just like I don't encourage songs that call me trashy. Just because generalizations exist, doesn't mean you should continue to encourage more generalizations. That is a very unintelligent comment you made.

  • It's not unintelligent as much as it is the truth. Generalizations exist on the minority receiving end which are women. So a song schooling women on how to be keen on the games that men play is completely harmless and it shouldn't offend men at all since like I said they're the dominant group and not disenfranchised at all by "generalizations" or anything else for that matter. So please spare me.

  • So you are going to try and fight generalizations on minorities by placing is on majorities??? That is unintelligent. Your only continuing the endless cycle of racism, sexism, and any other biased viewpoint.

  • No I'm not!!!! By having majorities that is continuing the cycle of racism, sexism, and all other forms of discrimination because clearly the minorities don't have the POWER to make change EFFECTIVELY!!!! That is not unintelligent. It is fact and people can't handle the truth which is why we are still dealing with prejudice and discrimination today!!!!!

  • Any attempt at trying to remove racism, has led to the redirectin of racism towards the majroity group. Such as affirmative action... That was a great answer to the problems of racism, why don't we just deny white people rights, instead of black people. That is just continuing the cycle!

  • Obviously you are greatly misinformed like I once was my friend. Let me school you. First of all, affirmative action was put in place to make everything equal in all areas of life for blacks and other minorites because quite frankly there wasn't equality! However, what most people don't know is that with affirmative action, women are also a minority group and WHITE women not other minorities, benefited the most from it!

  • We have a black guy running for president, in whom I do support by the way, I don't feel racism exists anywhere to the extent that is once did and barriers are being broken down between races, but the remaining barriers have yet to be broken because we are not focusing on uniting all groups (not just minorities, but the minorities with the majorities), instead we see channels like BET and Lifetime TV and Spike TV continuing to hold up those barriers.

  • It's nice to think we can solve racism like what you said but it has to be acknowledged and not ignored. Now racism is not as overt. It's covert. Those channels aren't barriers as much as they are there for people in the minority groups to see people like them in the media especially in a good light because it's not shown most of the time. Furthermore, people of any race for example can watch BET but they don't! I still think this country has a long, long way to go.

  • I'm not saying ignoring it, i'm just saying we need to stop trying to fix it by finding pride in a skin tone. A skin tone is nothing. An intellectual bond of equality is something much better to strive for than racial pride

  • Take a class whether it be in race and ethnicities or women's studies and you will understand everything I'm saying. Right now you are very close minded and have been raised to believe in society being one way and not being educated on how society really is!! Trust me it would do you a world of good.

  • By asserting that all men are people who just want to use women for sex, is not a true statement! I don't need to take a class to prove that! And if you had to take a class that tought you that, then your apparently lacking in terms of common sense. How society is, should not reflect your opinion on men or women or black people or white people or any ethnic group. People need to stop trying to find pride in their minority group or majority group + start finding pride in united people instead

  • You see, this "reverse racism" that you speak of doesn't exist! It's a well played out myth and let me explain to you why. For a redirection of racism to exist, the tables would have to completely turn. Meaning, whoever was in the minority group would have to be in the majority and vice versa. That is have political, financial, econimic and all other privilages that the majority, which are white males, experience. Clearly that hasn't happened and the minorities are still disenfranchised.

  • Racism isnt solved by making a minority a majority. It is solved by making no 1 a majority, and I would much rather see applications for jobs, colleges, etc to not include a race option, because that should NEVER have a bearing in their acceptance . And there is racism towards minority groups. I've seen a black history month special on TV Land, in which a lady did nothing but talk about how she did not want to be friends with white people. You dont' have to be a minority to experience racism

  • Sorry to tell you but social science has proven that reverse racism does not exist. As much as you would like to believe it does it doesn't. Blacks as well as other minorities have had it and continue to have it very bad in this country and that's fact. So whatever you've heard or think you know look at people's history and empathize with them because a white person will never experience what minorities have had to experience.

  • social science? There is no proof in that comment. There are people who are biased against whites, christians, and males, and you cannot deny that! Being a minority does not give you the right to assert that a majority cannot have being held under an unfair generalization

  • It's not just about racial pride, you are missing the point. There is proof and there have been many studies on this subject on which I gathered my information from and have studied and am currently studying. I suggest that you do your homework. I didn't say a majority can not have, they already have everything so what is there left to not have? What is unfair is the ignorance that exists in this country regarding race, sex, class etc.

  • There was a study done by a college that stated that "everyone was racist". That is total crap, and if you want to continue to believe that crap, then go ahead. There's more to racism than lack of materialism and I'm not going to continue to argue with someone who is "just believing what he hears" isntead of forming his own opinion on the situation

  • Fine, stay ignorant!!! I did my own research too! That's what you do in college and I do have my own opinion. It just so happens that what I've learned supports that!! So have a nice day!!

  • I'm not being ignorant at all. I have formed my opinion from my own life experiences and intellectual conversation.

  • Whatever so the hell have I, and anyways it's good to have factual things to back up your way of thinking so you're not pulling things out of your butt! At any rate I wish you all the best! seriously, and I'm done!

  • I did my junior paper on this issue, so don't sit here and tell me I have not done my research! And didn't you say you were going to quit in your other comment as well?

  • i love this song ^_^ even tho some parts after listening to it over and over again the screaming parts make me a bit pissed lol but i still love this song! ^_^ :)

  • Say that Ms. Aretha. These young girls don't know.

  • haha

  • i love dis song n it ture wat she singing bout

  • I believe every man is different!! If all men are the same than all women are the same!!!! I HATE when people say all men are the same!!! So people over look them cheating and every bad thing they do!!!

  • I know all men aren't the same, but some of them disguise their true colors...like the man Fantasia used to date that was so nice and then ended up beating her...and I'm not talking about Chico Bennymon...I know what you're saying, because I say that everyday, they are all different.

  • Amazing song...its so true too..just because a man seems different doesn't mean he is- at the end- all men are the same!!

  • omg i love this song so much it so real you can always learn something frm ur elders so pay attention cuz they can put you up on some real game

  • This song is really real, I wish I would have listened to the older women in my life who tried to tell me. The older I became, the harder it becames to listen to the voice of reason.

  • i love dis song...

  • I really like this song!!!!

  • THATS MY GIRLS LOVE THIS

  • i luv luv luv this song!!!!!

  • wow....

Aretha's showin that even at her age she can blow past anyone!

  • hey...every man is different but the game won't change...SO TRUE!! luv da song!

  • Yall got aretha messed up she still got that

voice no singer today can sing better than

    her.

  • Fantasia is holding her own very soulful, but Aretha is and will always be the Queen of Soul.

  • Tasia is holding a candle to Ree's impact on this track, thats whats make it worth listening to.

  • Of all the people to compliment this track, i'm surprised it's you. I really hate this song and it's biased representation of males. Not only is the lyrics crap, the background vocals are about as loud as the actual singers which makes the song seem repetitive. I also dont' think it's a good vocal representation of either singer, and that Aretha needs a song done by herself and on her own piano to have the ability to give a song a "soulful grooming" (which i've seen she can still do that)

  • Well, I like this track although it can be a little better as far as the volume go with the background singers. Vocally it was somewhat sloppy but nevertheless it shows off the influence old school has on the new school singers of today who can actually sang such as Fantasia.

  • Not to disrespect fantasia, but I don't think she has quite the vocals and soul to compare to old school soul. At her UNCF tribute to Aretha on "Baby I Love You" it seemed more like "Baby I'm Out of Breath So Soon"

  • Tasia on her worst day can hold a candle to any soul singer that sung before, especially Ree. Ree will give her more then a run for her money but Fantasia is no sloch in the vocal/soul department.

  • it was on Kidd Kraddick in the morning

  • i TRULY LOVE THiS SONG iTS AMAZiN TO HEAR THAT FANTASIA AND HER IDOL R SINGIN TOGETHER..... FANTASIA KILLING ARETHA FRANKLIN WITH HER VOCAL SKILLS. BUT RERE STiLL GOT IT THOU. i THiNK FANTASiA LEARNED SOMETHiNG FROM HER..... PUT HIM UP ON A LiL GAME FANTASIA.......

  • Fantasia is doin what? LOL, you're so foolish.

  • Its been a longtime comimg for an album like this to show vocalists from the past and present to make a hit. Tasia is holding a candle to Ree's impact on this track, thats whats make it worth listening to.

  • I love Fantasia's voice and live performance can't wait to see them do this on stage

  • this is a nice song

  • a hard head will make a soft rooty tooty booty. That shit was funny, i love this song.

  • Aretha voice is still holding, I think this is what everyone been waiting on. The idol gets to sing with her idol, they are both awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love Aretha, but her voice has not held up well.

  • You al cannot get excited about someone like this making negative comments. They really love it to but go into they're favorites and you'll see they prefer other singers. But they keep listning to Ree. Haters!

  • Voice has not held up? Clean them ears out, this woman has gotten her high register together.

  • I agree,Ree's best dayz are long gone her gospel drench riffs, runs and virbrato gets her threw music and or just about any song .

  • The fall from that pure, riveting tone to what it is now so dramatic and shocking. I got saved in the late 70's and gave all my Atlantic albums away and studied the Word daily for about 7 years. One day, while listening to a video I said, "Who's doing that cheap Aretha imitation?" It was Aretha. I was stunned. I wrote a book, "A Step Into Deliverance" as a result of those years of consecration.

  • Its like her voice went from sugar to shit literally, its the God's honest truth. A true Ree fan would call it like me and u hear it. Her squalls, riffs and runs may be in exile aswell.

  • zipnose91 how many times can you post that stupid mess? Every Aretha video I look on you got this same dumb comment. These sound good, you need to find something that sounds bad before posting stupid comments like this. She's 65 get over it!

  • i GOT THiS S0NG ON TH3 iP0D. I LOVE THIS SONG. FANTASIA CAN SING HER ASS OFF. ARETHA NEED TO LET HER HAVE THAT

  • LOL, you stupid. Aretha is singing her tale off. Aretha along with Fantasia makes this song what it is.

  • U Crazy !!! .. Aretha is Amazing on this song ..... was this recordedthis year ?

  • I LOOOOOVVVVE this song!!! This is my JAM!!!

  • I LOVE THIS SONG! ReeRee schools Fantasia both lyrically and vocally on this one. ARETHA IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE, THE ONE AND ONLY QUEEN!!!

  • i love this song very much its the truth

  • WOW!! How "right on time" this song is. I think Aretha is the best old school divas who can sing this song based on "experince" and a perfect match(voice wise) with Fantasia. To all my young sistas out there listen to the voice of experience! Don't think we don't know what we're talking about. The playaz cnage but the game is still the same!! BRAVO ARETHA AND FANTASIA!!(The Queen and the Princess)

  • Old school and new school make the best duets as y'all can here on this track that sangs about expierence of game.

  • yes amen is right. from love to the one i like.

please comment me at 15lakisha Ill be waiting.

  • I hope you will keep it up girl I like it so so much.

  • I want the CD

  • i like the song. love your favroit person

  • Wow, Fantasia sounds so much like Aretha its hard to tell them apart when they start belting and soul shouting. This is a cute song. I'd love to see them perform this together live. The duet I'm waiting for is a Patti and Tasia duet! Baaaby, we all know that will be a hot one! ;)

  • I luv the Queen..and the Princess...mad vocals..and its a shame for Aretha at her age to be blowin like she do...she still got it...and tasia...bad anyway.."let them put u up on game"

  • Nah I disagree Aretha's best vocal dayz are long gone. Her gospel drench runs, sqaulls and riffs get her over.

  • Aint Aretha singing on this song tho !!.... I didnt even know ole girl still had it in her ... but ur right ... she is definelty clowning on here !!

  • luv it Retha you still got it !!!!!

  • i learn so much from this song

  • this song is doe they blended 2 great voices together

  • i love it

  • Aretha is the greatest person in the world. Sorry, the greatest God in the world. And second, comes Christina Aguilera...

  • Christina Aguilera? Are you kidding me!? ROFL!!

  • go head fantasia!

  • What album is this on? Please tell me!

  • It's on Aretha's new CD, called "Jewels in the Crown: All-star duets with the Queen." You can find it on Rhapsody, if you have that program.

  • Thanks!

  • What notes do Aretha not hit? What are yall talkin about the song is the bomb!!!!!

  • Wow, that is really good! I do agree Aretha's voice is...a little...faded. But it is such a great song!

  • Faded....!!!!! She is 66 ande can still outsing the youngsters. Does she have the notes of 30 years ago...No... but listen to the phrasing. She dominates this record and that is not easy with Fantasia singing with you. It is easy to hear who Fantasia listened to.

  • I like this song very munch.

  • this is the first time I have had a chance to really hear the song. I love Fantasia, and God knows I love Aretha. Its beautiful to see these two song birds making music together.

  • Too bad Aretha lost her voice. She just can't hit the notes. She moans.

  • Blasphemer! How dare you speak against me Queen. Go somwhere and sit down. She is the once and future Queen. Fantasia is the heir apparent. Whitney didn't want it. Lauryn Hill didn't want it. And the rest didn't have enough talent. Fantasia will one day assume the thrown and wear the crown; even then, the Queen will reign SUPREME!

  • Now that's what we are talking about!!!!!

Her real fans say Amen to all of that!!!!!
