  • The song had evolved at this point but still had more to come. It's actually a well done demo that shows the extreme level of skill this band had, all of them!

  • Van Halen is a great band!

  • Yea this is the Demo Eddie did with Gene because Eddie stated he never did overdubs until this and there are a few in here.

  • This is so RAW. Sounds like they turned on a tape recorder in the garage and the energy still shines through! What an awesome display from a then unknown Band.

  • cooooooul!

  • Wow..in hind sight Dave must be VERY happy he wasnt his own producer.. this is CRAZY RAW

  • bahahaha dave at the end...

  • sounds like a blackmore solo the first one

  • Said that like Ronnie James Dio in concert you did, oy!

  • lol what a strange first solo!! :O

  • its weird hearing the first solo

  • I'm pretty sure that this from the Gene Simmons Demo, Zero, not the Warner Bros. Ted Templemen demo.

  • Yeah, definitly from the Simmons Demos. You can tell just by Dave's voice, but also by the quality.

  • i think so, based on the super low vocal at the end. gene is plain gay for the devil shit.

where can i buy this stuff? i love these demo recordings.

  • @vhfanjack think ur right

  • The solo is different...sounds like a different effect was used or it was mixed in (?) Much less reverb...anyone know who mixed this?

  • You're right about the ending, that's the ending they've used live, and it's better than the fadeout on the record. They could've gone without all the echo on the record too.

  • I always thought this song needed a good ending as it was the last track on the album and it faded out.

Why didn't they keep the ending here?!?!?

  • i think the demo was better than the one on the album

  • Great Demo, EVH was just outstanding, guy was a one take player, best ever IMO

  • The importance of Ted Templemen and Don Landee's roles in this band can apparently not be overstated.

  • @432b86ed don't know about ted, but don's role can't be overstated

  • nice vid. and i love this song!
