  • What a great idea!

I lived in Chicago (cold) and plastic sheeting just didn't do it for me and tin foil (Berkeley)- I felt like I was in a cave!

  • Great idea!! You are right! That just might be helpful in the desert! I'll have to try that! :-)

  • That would keep me amused for hours Nota i love popping bubble wrap. heeehee.

  • *POP* I *POP* think *POP* everybody *POP* loves *POP* to *POP* pop *POP* those *POP* darn *POP* little *POP* bubbles *POP* it's *POP* a *POP* wonder *POP* that *POP* I *POP* get *POP* anything *POP* done

    Nota *POP* (a Mom)

  • That's some handy and cheap solution... Thinking outside the wrapper pays off!

  • comparing last years electric bill to this months , its down .29 a day yet the temperature was up so it looks like it may help a bit,

    it can't hurt!

  • Scary, in that I really like the effect. What happens, though, when a curtain climber like Cosmic decides to take a run to the top? I don't see these as necessarily cat compatible curtains. Then again... He'd probably only do it once... :-)

  • LOL... I know the feeling...Scary is that I really like the effect and love my (almost finished) Tin foil curtains. Now would Tin Foil curtains attract Cosmic or frighten him away?

  • wow...what a great idea!

  • Maybe I should market it as an energy saving device, but the question becomes... when I ship bubble wrap ...what do I wrap it in?

  • it's a self-wrapped product!

  • I tried the bubble wrap floor covering, but it just makes too much noise.

  • but I bet it felt so good walking barefoot on bubble wrapped floors

  • You are so dang clever!

  • thank you Marc, but its not clever as much as "I have a thing for Tin foil, bubble wrap ..and I couldn't live without duct tape"

  • Ha! I just now watched Italianstallionette's video. Maybe you should, too, before you mention your thing for duct tape again LOL

  • That's Nota bad idea! Wish I'd thought of it when I lived in AZ.

  • when I lived in the Midwest, I hung quilts over the windows, Old farm houses are very breezy in the winter, I just like the light to much to cover the windows anymore.

  • You are a knower of all, Nota :)

  • is that a nice way of calling me a know it all?

    LOL

  • LOL no, it's meant exactly as it sounds :) Nota knows much and I appreciate that.

  • have you tried the Atomic Fireballs yet?

  • I've tried cinnamon candies and they work pretty good cause i remember what you told me and I know that atomics will work best BUT I am a little paranoid about them cause a doc once told me they are a big player in airway deaths [i know, sounds dumb] so i am hoping to find the boxes of the mini ones.

  • its Nota dumb at all, during my fathers funeral my daughter choked on a round hard candy- thank God for the Heimlich Maneuver - shot a crossed the room like it had been fired from a sling shot. (the candy Nota my daughter) if you are alone, use a counter to do the upward thrust.

if you want- smash the Atomic's with a hammer first (I have never tried that )

  • Can I pop Ur curtains or is that nota a good idear??

    tee-hee!

    Hugs, Irene

  • Nota good Idea to pop the curtains but it does sound like fun...or should I say it sounds like "POP"

  • Write a book, girl!!!!!!!

  • My daughter asked if she could! I said if she wanted too...I'm to busy.

so some day you may read "Nota -the real me"

    LOL

  • That's Nota bad idea!

  • I'm full of Nota good ideas... (or just full of it LOL)

  • Is that for real? Can I come over and pop them?

    Mooz

  • yes, I must admit that I bubble wrapped my windows- and not for the video LOL

I'd rather you not pop them.. if you do I'll need to replace them.

it makes a nice soft light, and the AZ heat stays out side

  • Cool idea. Solar energy! Hahaha!

    Mooz

  • Now you're Heloise? ;-)

  • you should see what I'm doing with the tin foil...

as for Heloise, salt and lemon get off rust stains, cream of tartar and hydrogen peroxide can take stains off of counters
