@zignumt no she won't not if you handle it right and its so simple to do. just say "Hun i think your gorgeous, but if you want loss weight for yourself then I think we should both start eating healthier and we can start going to the gym more. That way she knows you love her just the way she is, that you are not dismissing her feelings and that you are willing to support her in making positive life changes. seriously is this stuff that hard to get.

Women need tough love about body insecurity. NOT confirming that there is something wrong and urging her to change her lifestyle, especially IF the lifestyle she's choosing is healthy and she's just internalized an ideal of female beauty. E.g.: when I started doing the "I hate my body" thing to my bf he cut me off. "To me, you're hot. if you don't like your body, I disagree, but only you can change it. Either proactively do something or be happy with your body, but no whining allowed."

maybe because the question itself was irrelevant to the issue? the fact that the girlfriend has a weight issue is totally irrelevant to the question as asked. thus the fact that it was included with the question at all is telling. and the fact that the guy (i assume) said he "doesn't care" about her weight issue indicates that he's kind of clueless, and thus required the response from dan.

Oh you're right, Dan is an advice giving Genius/God who not only doesn't have to follow normal answering questions conventions BUT he also get to name his youtube videos about what he doesn't talk about....as apposed to what he does.....
