This logo looks too sophisticated for '79... It probably started use around '82 or later, unless someone can prove to me otherwise. This DFS Program Exchange logo design DID begin appearing in print in January 1979, however.
This was the original one. A few 1986-87 episodes had the super-rare DFS-Dorland version.
In 1986, DFS was acquired by Saatchi & Saatchi for $75 mil, and quickly intended to merge it into their UK-based network, Dorland Advertising. The new acquisition was to be operated separate from the S&S Compton network. However, by summer 1987, S&S merged DFS into its Compton subsidiary, thus terminating their deal with Dorland.
even though it was '94 when I entered the 1st grade, these old images make me think of some stuff from school, after seeing old pictures of stuff on classroom walls that were school related, or w/e
I found this logo to be a bit unnerving when I was little. Especially with that weird music that starts out sounding like a fire alarm. I called it the "Arrows From Hell".
Hey, could you please upload the Paramount Television "Rising Circle" Logo as seen on "Mission: Impossible" on FX from your old VHS recordings from the 90s? Thanks.

I saw this once on "Bewitched" sometime in the mid-90s. I still have a hard time believing it's from 1979!

@tvpirate05 Every time I see this, I almost think it's from the '80s. I can't believe it's from 1979 either! It looks too advanced for '79.

The dots are intentional - the other capture was blurry and low-resolution.
And did you ever immediately think of the New York Stock Exchange when you saw the Program Exchange logos? Especially with the arrows...

DFS stands for "Dancer Fitzgerald Sample".

the high pitched music at this logo sounds like an electric guitar playing a high pitched sound.
