  • THAT...WAS...LOUD!!!!

  • I saw this once on "Bewitched" sometime in the mid-90s. I still have a hard time believing it's from 1979!

  • @tvpirate05 Every time I see this, I almost think it's from the '80s. I can't believe it's from 1979 either! It looks too advanced for '79.

  • This logo looks too sophisticated for '79... It probably started use around '82 or later, unless someone can prove to me otherwise. This DFS Program Exchange logo design DID begin appearing in print in January 1979, however.

  • It makes me think of a commercial for dish soap.

    Don't know why..

  • @2000rubs

This was the original one. A few 1986-87 episodes had the super-rare DFS-Dorland version.

In 1986, DFS was acquired by Saatchi & Saatchi for $75 mil, and quickly intended to merge it into their UK-based network, Dorland Advertising. The new acquisition was to be operated separate from the S&S Compton network. However, by summer 1987, S&S merged DFS into its Compton subsidiary, thus terminating their deal with Dorland.

  • My Ears are bleeding

  • This music always makes me feel like I am gonna crap my pants. Especially after eating beans.

  • To me, this is the "Video Killed The Radio Star" of logos.

  • This is loud.

  • You Gotta Be Kidding me JohnnyL80

  • The dots are intentional - the other capture was blurry and low-resolution.

And did you ever immediately think of the New York Stock Exchange when you saw the Program Exchange logos? Especially with the arrows...

  • DFS stands for "Dancer Fitzgerald Sample".

  • @CraigFoye80 what a dumb name lol

  • the dots seem intentional

  • KINDA LOUD!!!

  • even though it was '94 when I entered the 1st grade, these old images make me think of some stuff from school, after seeing old pictures of stuff on classroom walls that were school related, or w/e

  • i saw this logo on nick at night with dic kid in bed logo

  • Wow, that looks contemporary for 1979.

  • Looks about.. 1984.

  • 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, and 1986.

  • I found this logo to be a bit unnerving when I was little. Especially with that weird music that starts out sounding like a fire alarm. I called it the "Arrows From Hell".

  • never seen this variant but it has similar music to the 1987 one; the one I have always seen and liked

  • the high pitched music at this logo sounds like an electric guitar playing a high pitched sound.

  • I meant the beginning of this logo.

  • POPEYE!!!!!

  • Hey, maybe I can borrow this video so I can come up with a few DFS bloopers like skyoneer did with PBS. =))

  • The music sounds a little different than all the other DFS logos.

  • Great quality!!!

  • It always had dots in the background according to CLG Wiki.

  • Hey, could you please upload the Paramount Television "Rising Circle" Logo as seen on "Mission: Impossible" on FX from your old VHS recordings from the 90s? Thanks.

  • THE PROPER VERSION! HALLELUJAH!

  • I never noticed the dots in the background.

  • WOW...that is BY FAR the best quality version I've seen of this logo! Where did you find this?!

  • From "Dennis The Menace" on an old VHS tape I had.

  • @JohnnyL80 "Old"? You're kidding! It's HIGH-quality!
