I got the tape "Islands" in 1987. That was my favourite song in the album. Gosh..., I remember that I used the song "Islands" for a school assignment and my sister helped with the coreography...

I wish I could return to my happy years in Spain, where people are alive and food is eatable . UK is "North Point" for me.

I woke up this morning with this song in my head and realised it's been far too long since I listened to this album. The whole thing has many personal associations for me and was also the first of Mike's CD's that I bought when it came out. It had all bee vinyl up till then.

This song in particular is very beautiful and deserves more praise than it got. Thanks Mike!

I'm Hungarian and I fell in love with this song suddenly when I heard it for the first time. I have never been to the northern part of Europe :( yet, but when I listen to this song, I just feel that I'm there. Very expressive, makes me so emotional.

Note that the tower on the Crises album's cover was actually a prison near the shores of Portugal. The prison was called North Point and it was famous cause there was only one window on the whole building. The prison was destroyed early in the 1800's.... i wonder how come nobody ever noticed this fact.
