3)Special effects seem to dominate acting and plot.
It was an exciting movie, but failed to reach the bar set by the originals. The only things that I really liked were the duels and Ewan McGregor's acting. Honestly the new eps are just junk food compared to the originals.

One of my main complaints with Lucas the newer trilogy is that he ignored the existing expanded universe that had formed in the years following ROTJ. the balance of power is inaccurate. Duku was way stronger than obi wan, anakin was way stronger than duku; i expected more from anakin; darth maul was the most skilled; they should have kept him around till the 3rd one
also take into account their combat forms. Anakin used Form V Djem So, ment to drive back the opponent and gain dominance, best for multiple opponents. Obi- Wan used Form III, the most defensive. and Dooku used form II, the elegance form. Anakin's strength defeated Dooku, and Obi-Wan's defense defeated Anakin's strength.
Obi wan must have forgotten his defense against Duku I suppose. Don't get me wrong Obi wan's fighting skills were supstantial but Anakin had more medicloreans than anyone. He should have way more powerful in both forces than anyone. The chosen one. Remember?

the reason Obi-wan won was because Aniken was being stupid. he should have jumped AT Obi-wan with his lightsaber, not try to jump over him just to prove he was stronger.
It really shows just why parents do not let their kids do things. That is why in teenage years kids go through the rebellious stage. Anikan was just like that.

here's what i figure. Dooku won against Obi-Wan because of his grace and elegance. but Anakin's strenght (as stated above) beat grace. and also remember that Obi is a master, he has more training in the Force, plus his defense beat Anakin.

the reason Obi-wan won was because Aniken was being stupid. he should have jumped AT Obi-wan with his lightsaber, not try to jump over him just to prove he was stronger.
he was being to cocky at the end.
