@Flopstar80 If you study the fossil evidence, along with the DNA evidence, Anatomical evidence, Genetic evidence, Anthropological evidence, Geological evidence, Geographical evidence, Chromosomal Fusion in humans, Embryology, Paleontology etc then you wouldn't prove humans came from monkeys. You would prove that humans and monkeys both shared a common ancestor millions of years ago.

And if you deny that possibility--that evolution is the work of God--wouldn't you be denying the omnipotence of God?

Lets discuss the tree of life for as minute. look at the illustration on tolwebDotorg. At the root are eucaryotic cells. The node where man and chimp comes together contains a so-far undiscovered species, more primitive that Ardi, that probably knuckle walks. The common ancestor of man and whale would be very like a heavy hooved wolf. Mammal & reptile (or bird) are common at a tetrapod similar to Tiktaalik. You don't get to choose a Croco-Duck.

@sierra3daction: You're partially right. The late, definitive ancestor of both chimps and humans hasn't yet been found. But our evidence for the relationship isn't based on fossils; it is much more powerfully based in genetics and comparisons of the genomes of all the apes, including man.

How about a cite for your claim about "humans thousands of feet below those" (whatever those are; are you saying that they really did find some "fossils that link us to chimps")? Your argument leaks, man.

Monkeys and humans share a common ancestor at some point in the past.

Infact every animal on earth shares a common ancestor.. yes even dung beetles, and slime...

We all originated from one common ancestor 4 billion years ago, that was probably a very basic cell.

Maybe its hard to believe, why not... but the evidence supports it.

@sierra3daction Evolution is a fact. It is being used in practice already in many fields of science. And *theory* doesn't mean the same in science as in everyday talk, you know.. I suspect maybe that's the reason why you seem to believe that evolution is something to "believe" or "not believe" in.:) I have a video on my channel I really think you should watch. @winterstellar Uh, no, evolution is not "fact"; it's called the "theory of evolution" for a reason: we have yet to find definitive proof that it happens the way we believe it to. Why? Because the fossil record is incomplete. With the huge gaps in that record, we can only make educated guesses as to how most species came into being.

@Shran1970 - Theories are structures and ideas that explain facts. The Theory of evolution explains the fact of evolution, which is observable and demonstrable. The Theory of Evolution is based on so much more than just fossils: There is DNA evidence, Anatomical Evidence, Genetic evidence, Embryology, Pathology and the list goes on. Evolution is a fact and will always be a fact. Denying that evolution is a fact is the same as denying gravity is a fact. You're smarter than that. (I hope)
