I work just a few yards from where this was recorded at Cummins Prison. Thanks for posting this historic event . Johnny Cash, and all his back up singers did a great job entertaining the prisoners. Thanks for posting!! The old towers are still standing today!

Didn't Marshall Grant write this song??? In the clip they say Carl Perkins did.

I listened to some versions of the song in several concerts and Johnny always says that Carl Perkins wrote this song.

Yes I saw another clip where he said the same thing but on the Johhny and June Duets album the songwriter is listed as M Grant. Maybe it was thought that Perkins wrote it and later found out that it was Grant? I guess we will never know.
