@Gianny214 One of the greatest opera singers of all times - Agnes Baltsa. An underrated genius in my opinion( and not only mine). Advice you to see her in "Carmen", Verdi, Rossini and Mozart repertoire... Well - everything what you can find.

@Gianny214 Agnes Baltsa. A fabulous powerful mezzo-soprano voice with great agility and vocal range. Sang everything from Rossini till Verdi. I think she still sings but Im not sure. Anyway, she was VERY famous. Mostly in Europe than America. A great singer-actress.

@Altonahh10 I simply can`t express - how I envy those who saw Baltsa on stage! Professionally I am connected with theatre ( I love theatre and I think I know it quite well) and I imagine what a tremendous impression it must be - to see her on stage, that unique SINGING ACTRESS. The anscient Greece spirit is wonderfully combined with the German-speaking European spirit in this woman. So unique, so really unique...

Great stuff! I had the great pleasure of seeing the Vienna State Opera production of this opera with Baltsa in it twice. One of the best productions I've ever seen!
