  • What about when it dries. is the hair soft? I have been experiencing dryness. Any suggestions?

  • @ANTJONJON No the hair won't be soft so I follow up with a deep conditioner. That helps in bringing moisture back to the hair and preventing dryness.

  • Same results that I experience. I have my second application of Body Quality Art Henna on right now. I did my first treatment (on my natural hair--used on relaxed hair years ago with awesome benefits) two weeks ago. I love it and I agree that it makes my hair stronger, shinier and reduces split ends. It erased my slight gray hair around my edges too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Peace. I need subscribers and viewers y'all. I'm new when it comes to making vids. Peace!

  • did u buy the onw for african hair

  • @parrisj21 Sorry for the late reply...I buy body art quality henna. So the type that they use to do the tattoos is the same type I put on my hair. Hope that helps.

  • Hello I love the results! What was the name of the henna you used?

  • @christyluve72 Thanks! Its called Dulhan Mehendi Deluxe Heena Powder. Purchased it from a local Indian Grocery Store.

  • Congrats on your results, I'm purchasing some do a vid, simply to lighten the gray and condition my natural tresses, thanks again, great vid.

  • did you find that it left a whole bunch of stuff in your hair? like...earthy, residue? i've washed like 8 times and i can't gt it all out! I even tried clarifying shampoo, which dried my hair out...UGH i'm so upset that it didnt work out for me

  • @JazzyJ251987 Yes I do have particals left in my hair even though the henna I buy is finely sifted. I don't notice it until I shake my hair, then I see all these little pieces falling out lol. But after a few washes I don't notice the particles anymore. What type of henna are you using? Is it finely sifted?

  • Hey! I love the hair... Where did you get your henna from?

  • @nameita I buy my henna from an indian grocery store.

  • I LOVE HENNA!!!!!

  • @Yonnea I know right! I love it too! Gonna do a treatment in February and I'm looking so forward to it!

  • i can see it the color came out pretty, and your hair looks nice and moist :)

  • @jungirlfriend10 Thanks!

  • Did you find that the henna loosened your curl?

  • @borgesvful No not at all. My hair is very coily and tight. If your hair is a looser texture than mine it may loosen your curls slightly, but they should return to their original state after a few washes. Hope that helped :)

  • Your hair looks great and thanks for the positive spin on henna.:) Plan to try it next time I need to color. Great video!

  • I definitely see the color...your hair came out beautifully! In 10 minutes I'm going to go and try to replicate what you did...lol!

  • Thanks!

  • thanks for posting your henna vids. I am a 4b and thinking of doing it. I am encouraged because now I've seen someone with a similar hair type do it.....

  • Well then my purpose was served... :)

  • You are right i'm sure. I am just a little afraid that I won't like it if I chop it off. But you are right I believe it would do better if I cut it. Pray for me I'm a chicken! lol But your hair is an inspiration.

  • we have the same hair type(i believe) 4a-b coily? How long did it take you to grow your natural hair out? Our have you ever had a relaxer? I have about 4 inches of natural hair and the rest is relaxed past my shoulders, and it is hard to deal with. It gets very tangled. But, I'm afraid to chop it off.

  • Yes I am 4a in the middle of my head and 4b everywhere else. Yay! A hair twin! I did have a relaxer prior to going natural. I stopped relaxing in April 2007, transitioned for 3 months and big chopped. This July will make 2 years being natural. Dealing with the two textures can be difficult. If you are afraid to BC do some transitional styles (ie. braids, twist outs, braid outs) til you're ready. But if you can, I say chop it off. Letting go of those ends will free your hair to grow.

  • Thanks for doing the video...I asked your hubby about your henna experience in class about a few weeks ago. I have not used henna thus far, but I do plan on getting some henna at the end of the month! I cannot wait. Where did you buy the henna? How did you wash the henna out? Some youtubers have said that they wash out the henna in the bathtub. I think that is to messy.

  • Yeah, he mentioned that to me and I was so excited (cuz i love doing henna). I buy mine from an indian grocery store near my house for $1.59. Let me know if you'd like me to get you some (no charge :)) I personally wash my henna out in the kitchen sink. Its less messy and easy clean up. Hope that helped!

  • i just looooove your hair.the curls are so defined.i'm kind of scared to do a henna though.i admit ...i'm a coward....lol. talk soon. :o)
