In Sweden we have dummy roping. We don´t have real calf in roping. In the beginning when we start to ride western riding in Sweden, a calf broke a leg in a roping competition. Only in cutting, working cowhorse and team penning we have real Cattle.

Rodeo has been around for a very long time and its not going anywhere no matter how much you piss and moan. most of the rodeo stock is very well taken care of. there are some exceptions, but im sure that somewhere theirs a vegan who is a seriel killer. if it hurts your feelings to see this happen, quit watching it. its as simple as that. now if you'll excuse me, i have an extra rare steak to eat.

So I have a better perspective of both sides of the issue than most. 99% of roping calves NEVER get hurt.When they are to big to tie down rope, theey are sold. Some become breed cows and some are sent to feed lots.
If you are against tie down roping, you have a right to your opinion, but at least know the facts and base that opinion on knowledge not ignorance and misinformation.

Abuse is abuse. Babies don't WANT to be thrown for your entertainment. If a calf wanted to be thrown he would happily wait for you to do so, he would not run as fast as he could with a look of pure terror on his face. I have been to (free-admission) rodeos to film them, I have SEEN this abuse up close.

You're right, I don't distinguish. That's because I'm not a speciesist like you are. I care about all sentient beings and pain is pain to me, no matter what gender someone is, what the colour of their skin is, or how many legs they have.
