Its called the American Red Cross and not the Haitian Red Cross, however, the donations that were sent said NOTHING about donating to the American Red Cross themselves, the donation ads (etc.) asked for donations for HAITI. That tells US as donators that American Red Cross was offering to DELIVER our money to Haiti relief services. SPECIFICALLY for Haiti relief services.
