The fuel indicator auto adjusts based on average consumption i think, i've seen it before in mine that when i've been driving fast for an hour and then suddenly drop back and start driving economic, the needle actually moves upward slightly again. Just an observation, i dunno why, half a tank is half a tank you'd assume
