I love this setlist... but there's so many songs taken from past GH games... I think they should have put different songs from this artists. As a guitarist I think this setlist is great for learning guitar. It has some popular songs that will make you wanna learn to play as well as harder songs that allow you to go for a goal. Learning a song is a great way to learn an instrument and I think the keyboard is very well supported as well. The variety is also very surprising. Good on Harmonix for trying something different unlike a certain other game.
I saw the whole setlist and I'm kinda disappionted. Some of these songs already came from previous GH games (And I know they've done it with other RB games & I understand that since they've added actual guitars and jkeyboards that it's a good idead to play songs this way.) I also got disappionted that there weren't many artists from South America like they said. (only Juanes, Mana, & BOB MARLEY AWESOME!!!) and there's one from Spain but the song's in English.
i'm more of a hard rock kind of person. There are some good songs on the setlist, but i am generally displeased. Either way I am getting the game because i think the pro-mode is a great idea. BTW master of puppets was rumoured to be released for rock band as DLC
I may come for the set list but I stay for Pro Mode. I'll play the game first like any other Rock Band games JUST to unlock all the songs. Then after that Pro Mode all the way.

@LibraHorse1 same arguement could be used for songs like freebird, but the difference is you can now play those songs with a real guitar, metallica would be perfect. I am hugely dissapointed with the mediocre setlist, will still get the game in hopes of better DLC. I find it pretty annoying that people (especially GH Fan boys) continue to say RB sucks and GH rules over. I have 2 reasons why RB has a serious advantage over GH: 1) Once this game is released, they would have over 2000 songs altogether, and with the RBN, there's even more. And 2) Harmonix & EA have revolutionairy evolved music games with the new keyboard and pro mode.

I saw the whole setlist and I'm kinda disappionted. Some of these songs already came from previous GH games (And I know they've done it with other RB games & I understand that since they've added actual guitars and jkeyboards that it's a good idead to play songs this way.) I also got disappionted that there weren't many artists from South America like they said. (only Juanes, Mana, & BOB MARLEY AWESOME!!!) and there's one from Spain but the song's in English.

i'm more of a hard rock kind of person. There are some good songs on the setlist, but i am generally displeased. Either way I am getting the game because i think the pro-mode is a great idea. BTW master of puppets was rumoured to be released for rock band as DLC

I may come for the set list but I stay for Pro Mode. I'll play the game first like any other Rock Band games JUST to unlock all the songs. Then after that Pro Mode all the way.

This game has so many classics and foreign bands. I love it. It helps people discover music they might not have before. My only thing is no Metallica then I think... CRAZY FUCKING TRAIN!

@LibraHorse1 same arguement could be used for songs like freebird, but the difference is you can now play those songs with a real guitar, metallica would be perfect. I am hugely dissapointed with the mediocre setlist, will still get the game in hopes of better DLC. Although DLC lately has been horrible, most likely due to them holding onto songs for rock band 3 launch

@w1104717 is it because you don't like indie and new wave, or because the songs are easy? i think the songs are easy BECAUSE it has a real guitar. if you were a guitar teacher and one of your students was a ten year old boy who never touched a guitar before, what do you think his first song should be: imagine or master of puppets? besides, they have varying difficulties so you can play whatever level you want. this game is not supposed to be tailor made just to fit your specific needs.

@ChainGuN2 If you want big amounts of metal (and subgenres of metal) Buy GH: WOR, but if you want a majestic setlist with lots of variation and a HUGE amount of classics get Rock Band 3. Although if you really want the features of rock band, but don't like the songs or directly despise them, you just need to shut the fuck up and quit your whining.

I wonder how it will work with different tunings. Also the price and what you will use if you are a lefty. This isn't usually the way I would learn songs on guitar. You have to practice and get muscle memory. Idk about this one. It's a cool idea, but I hope it doesn't kill guitar. In other ways of saying it I hope this game dies b4 the actual guitar does.

It won't because people don't realize how long it takes to learn an instrument. only a musician will be capable of completing expert pro mode within the next 4 years because of techniques like sweeping and speed picking and all the necessary chord patterns. 4 years being for some of the most talented

@flashbackguitar It doesn't have to teach people guitar, and I don't think that's what they're setting out to do anyway. The point is that for people who can already play guitar, It'l be a fun way to possibly learn new songs and for them to be able to jam with other guitar players online (or at least for new players to get a taste of what playing for real is like). Anyway who cares if it will take a proper musician to complete expert pro, that's not the point of these games.

I find it pretty annoying that people (especially GH Fan boys) continue to say RB sucks and GH rules over. I have 2 reasons why RB has a serious advantage over GH: 1) Once this game is released, they would have over 2000 songs altogether, and with the RBN, there's even more. And 2) Harmonix & EA have revolutionairy evolved music games with the new keyboard and pro mode.
Now do not call me a RB Fan boy, because I am not, I just see RB as the superior game at the moment.

However I will just notice you that the reason that most of the songs in RB3 have taken a notch down difficulty wise, is most likely because of Pro mode, as the songs difficulty have been multiplies by around (but most certainly) OVER 9000!!!!11!oneoneeleven!

@OllieS216 I don't know what your smoking these songs own compared to Guitar Hero's songs. Some might seem soft but it's because some songs have to include Keyboard. No taste in music -,-. Some songs are relaxing soft and smooth. Just because the rhythm is slow don't mean you could jam to it. i agree this setlist is more diverse than gh5 plus half these are on gh im getting ghwor but might consider buying the squier so well help me learn guitar. did you guys realize if you buy all the instruments it will cost around 500 dollars what a rip.
