  • heheh... a lot has changed :)

  • i actually made something like that but little but better andf more realistic i stil havfe to figure out how to aniate and record in there the blender

  • realistic is other than this! wheres da air circulation?

  • bit long, but did you know when you put softbody on and then (when plane selected) press just right of the 'soft object' enable button, press 1.particle system. You can set a sooth wind and then its cool :P

    good luck man ;)

  • Well, thanks, man.

At the time I was so excited I managed to make static carpet material... I lost it all :D

  • blender grass in game engine

  • you should cut your grass more often. nice job

  • Can u put up a tutorial up or something or the website/book/source that u learned how 2 do that?

    Thnx!!!

  • looks like trees from high above

  • whats Blender????

    I Need To Know

  • Blender. Home appliance that cuts and mixes from food to wiimotes and golf clubs.

Blender. 3D software (plus some other stuff I can't recall now).

  • you used the particle system... i like the partical system.

  • Eh... early editions of the code, where you didn't have many options. Kids these days... they have fur rendering and baking.

    WITH THE BRAND NEW 2.47.

    Get it today.

    (I'd be so great as a tele-marketer!)

  • i downloaded bldender 2.47 yesterday

  • yes u would :)

  • that's actually pretty good

    well done

    StatiC^TiGeR

  • who told you to buy it? :P hehe

  • Aye aye, thanks, dude... but really, we can all do better these days.

In all fairness, though, at the time of the render, to obtain realistic grass you'd have to add curves and stuff... Thanks.

  • try 3d max.. hair and fure..

  • Well, you do realize I am not buying that any time soon, right? Blender being free AND legal, it's all great for now!

  • cool, well done :D What version do you have?

  • Hm... at that time, I think it was 2.42a .

Things changed with the time, but I reckon I couldn't do much better now, I never got serious with particles and stuff.

  • And thanks for the feedback!

  • dude that's just some green crap spinning for 17 seconds

  • Agreed, but can you do better now?

  • viva pinata is a cool game and yes it does look like it lol nice job

  • Right!

    So, I'll check it!

  • It´s not really realistic. I think u could use hair for doing it

  • Yea, well, that's what I thought when I saw other grass fields.

  • nice looking grass. Better then my experiments. :D

  • Still, experiments are better than nothing. :)

  • are u using vertex painting, to randomize the size of grass blade

  • No, I am using the particle settings, but that's a very good idea, though. Thanks, I think it'll give more accurate results.

  • It looks like Viva Pinata grass!!! :D

    good job!

  • ummm...this probly gunna sound dumb..but how did u do that??in anyway??

  • Well, if you have Blender, I just toyed with the settings on particles, till I got what I wanted.

If you don't use Blender and don't have any experience with 3D whatsoever, um... I'm a magician!!

  • OMG IVE BEEN TRYING TO DO THAT FOR SO LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

plzzz plzz agent47 give me so hints or a tutorial on how you got those results???? it looks like you had bloom too omg>.< plz save me

  • Check out his hair tut and do it to a plane.

    adjust,

    easy as that!

  • Very cool! Is stuff like that possible in the GE?

  • Well, I guess yea, why wouldn't it be in GE too?

My guess is, you just have to get the settings alright for a realtime expression in the engine, because you'll need a very strong computer to do that amount of particles in realtime.

    But it can be done.

  • No, The BGE doesn't support particles. If you push "P", the particles disappear, and you are left with just the mesh. Nice video by the way.

  • Right.

  • WOW!!! O_O Nice use of Particles! Did U use particles on it? GREAT job agaiN!

  • Damn right I did! But the scales are off by much, I mean, I had to use 0.04 size to get that grass.

  • I've done a move like that before cool though

  • Ya, and now I am working on smoking the carpet. Done with particles that must resemble smoke, so no drugs in real life, it you're wondering. And you're not.
