hmm...trico. tri-three ico, is ico, 3rd installment of team ico. :) yes, kid looks better in the later one. yorda looked very different from her surrounding graphics, but and it worked because the characters belonged in that world. in Ico especially, it does seem more "real" than other games with better graphics, maybe because it was so minimalist. I stopped playing Fable III and replayed Ico, and had way more fun! I may be old fashioned, but a game with no DLC or live is refreshing; calming.

I think everything in the newer trailer is better (makes sense). I can't get over how incredible the lighting is in the new one.

I bought a PS3 just for this game ( I would have dropped $100 less on a 360 and been fine with it, but that shows how bad I want this game.) I loved Ico, loved Shadow of the Colossus, and am thrilled to see they made another one with a "boy and his animal" theme.

November can't come fast enough.

I really don't have a problem with how the kid looks in the final production. It's reminiscent of how Ico looked (which I just finished playing and the way this kid looks, color/texture and all, reminds me a lot of Ico). It's probably what Ueda is going for, nostalgia (as well as the world of the game).

I have played both games, and i see no definitive proof that both games are tied to one another, only vaguely baseless similarities. The developer the games calls it a 'spiritual successor' but he said he leaves it up to the players of the game to work out what happens and if the games are tied, fans just like to think they are.

@Ky1es: Sorry, that guy was an idiot, but it has been confirmed Shadow of the Colossus is a prequel to ICO... about 4 years ago. But not the way this guy said it. Ueda stated in an interview that Wander sired the line of horned boys. ICO is set hundreds if not thousands of years after the event of SotC.

The Last Guardian still hasn't been confirmed to be a sequel or prequel or even if its related to either game. Just gonna have to wait for its release.

It simpy looks much better then the plain looking darker skin. Plus the architecture in the screens shown are influenced by several cultures so I don't really get your argument.

Keep in mind that the games that Team Ico creates, when it comes to the storyline, have all been minimalistic, that includes Ico. In truth, the real-time gameplay IS the storyline, as well. For SotC, no words were needed for the game to make it "deep" or whatever. The battles justified the minimalistic storyline COMPLETELY. Same goes for Ico's puzzle gameplay.

Yeah I always liked how Ueda made the storyline for ICO and SotC so simple but in ways complex. Even how SotC was the "spiritual successor" of ICO won me over. The epic battling and the awesome puzzle solving is why they're my favorite games ever.

Because of its minimalist take on the storyline, with barely any narrative except for explaining the plot of it, it has the player completely immersed in the game. For ICO, it was get from point A to point B. For SotC, it was slay these giants. That's ALL you have to do and the team just finds a way to get you fully focused on things that you would otherwise would not have noticed.

Not to mention the controls are pretty stiff, and it makes the experience much more realistic; ex: riding Agro.

Yes, it is the same game. "Trico" was never the name of the actual game, it was merely the name of the project of MAKING the game. The Last Guardian is the game's actual title.
