  • It's joe paterno not praterno.

  • Child molesters are the first to be killed in prison and rightly so.

  • Wow. I can't believe Joe Paterno died today.

  • i love THON... its connected to penn state and i hope to god that the scandel wont affect Thon. For anyone who doesnt know it basically raises money to help childhood cancer and because of this they probably wont break their record (for almost every year they do) of 9mil ill be surprised if they even come close :( so fuck you Sandusky+ Paterno+ anyone else who was involved

  • What's the huge deal about this riot. My formal city people riot over FUCKING HOCKEY GAMES.

  • If I were mike, I would have straight to the police, the law only requires you report to your superiors ASAP? Even though "superiors" means the people higher up on the corporate ladder than you are, but each step, some information is bound to be lost, I would be just fine being fired for just being a wistle-blower, it's what I do, I would have even snapped Sandusky's legs, crippling him indefinitely, until the police arrive.

  • As far as the law is concerned, Mike McGruey, going based on how you, Jon, pronounced it, is just as guilty for letting it happen. If you cheer a fight on, not only will the people in the fight be arrested, you will also be arrested.

  • This is why we need to make sodomy illegal nationwide.

  • @thEannoyingE "All pedophiles aren't gay but all gay people are pedophiles" is that the logic you are going off of? besides, if it's consensual, who the hell should care?

  • @Zeldagigafan90210 No, and you're an idiot, I'm saying it should be nationwide so shit like this doesn't happen. And the last time i checked, child rape isn't consensual, you sick bastard. He RAPED those kids, so no, it was not consensual, as you think it was.

  • @thEannoyingE I was only going off of what you said prior, rape is already illegal, so why would you also want sodomy to be illegal?

  • I'd wait a day too. because i'd be too freaked out to just it immediately.

  • They should pull down the statue, like Sadam Hussein.

  • Sandusky's face was so ugly.... I got so annoyed when ESPN had to talk about it on college gameday when I was at Stanford. This was such a disturbing story how it's not even sports related... it's about being a human at this rate. Considering how JoePa's legacy is tarnished with it.

  • Joe is gone and that a wonderful move! Every single person who knew about this incident should be held accountable in the courts of law. They should be fired immediately! There is NO EXCUSE to why an adult does not contact authorities right away when a child is a victim. I know that most people would of knocked the coach out and hurt him badly if they had seen that taking place! I know I would of! Complete disgrace to the human society!! Complete filth is what it is!!!

  • It's shit like this that makes me want to move to New Jersey...no, wait, Ohio...New York.

  • Agree on every point. Its a scandal and pathetic.

  • JoePa isn't one of the winningest coaches, he IS the winningest coah.

  • Thumbs up to put Sandusky in Bubbas cell.

  • How do you keep your faith in humanity with idiots pull shit like this? "Na! Lets riot of the head coach getting fired instead of him sitting by for a full day before doing something about child abuse"

  • How old were these "little boys"? If these are college students, why are you calling them little boys? If they are, in fact, young children, what are they doing on a COLLEGE campus?

  • @croc122 - They were 8 - 12 years old. I called them little boys because they were. WAS THAT UNCLEAR?

As for what they were doing on campus... it's a football facility, not a prison... outsiders are allowed to visit.

  • @croc122 Oh you got served! You got owned! Burned, ya little noob! The video uploader obliterated you into the pavement! You suck, little idiot! Somebody got a frownie face now, huh kid!

  • @ZIdar25 that was really mean! Don't worry, I'm not going to kill myself over it, but if you said that to someone else, that response could push them over the edge. They might commit suicide because of you making them feel worthless. You should be ashamed of yourself. Yes, in retrospect, I should have listened more closely to his video because I didn't hear all the details. Btw, you shouldn't even bother replying to comments that were posted a month ago.

  • wow 666 likes

  • "You can't just take out your anger like in the lockerooms at Penn State!" South Park

  • It enrages me that there's so many dumbasses in this world. even worse, there were dumbasses who saw possibly the only thing that could hold a candle to murder and DIDN'T DO ANYTHING. It makes me fear for the future of me and my fellow classmates.

    Love your vids Jon <=)

  • I <3 RANTS

  • spot on, sir.

  • @Jon is it just me or does Joe look like the old guy from Up?

  • Good rant, you need more of em. Well maybe not, guess its a good way to lose subs. But I definitely enjoy them, rants are great.

  • I totally have to agree. Football is a good sport, but really? Caring more about it than knowing that 11 kids were raped? What the Fuck is wrong with the world...

  • To add to my previous comment about calling names, I was simply presenting another opinion. There was no need to attack me in such a petty and immature manner. You try to sound so intellectual in these videos you make, but when you attack your viewers like this, it really doesn't do you any good. If you disagree with someone's opinion, you can debate it in a civilized manner without insulting their intelligence, especially when you make yourself public like this.

  • Seriously Jon, if youre going to make these videos, you should really refrain from calling your viewers names. Youre going to make yourself very unpopular that way.

  • i agree

  • @tukgdj123 - So... you love my videos or not?

Who am I? I'm the voice of unbiased reason. You're some brainwashed idiot who puts the career of an 84-year-old man above the INNOCENCE raped out of 11 separate boys on your campus. It's disgusting and pathetic - get a grip on your priorities man. I "talk trash" because it's deserved - it's not your fault, or Patnero's over what happened - but some people need to take the fall, so fucking deal with, and quit your bitching.

  • @tukgdj123 First of all. It's Your videos. Not You're! And you are defending Joe Pa and Sandusky. Fuck you asshole!

  • Come to penn state and get an education, what does Italian have to do with anything? And You will have to get over the fact that if you didn't go to PSU you will not understand how penn state becomes a part of the identity of anyone who goes there... PSU raised over $300,000 for child abuse. The act of a few immature students (prolly freshmen who would only last a semester anyway) don't speak for the 45,000 students who go there...

  • @tcarluc26 I completely agree with you!

  • @tcarluc26 - And I agree with you, what's your point?

  • @Jon My point is that if JoPa was an African American you wouldn't say "Black Man" and also the 1,000 some students who were rioting over the firing of Coach Paterno represent the students rioting, not Penn State University, 40,000 + students attend PSU and there was about 1,000-2,000 students rioting thats like saying, the minorities represent the majority. Idk what country you live in, but that statement represents the bias coverage you are gathering from the media>

  • @tcarluc26 - Um... I probably would say that. Because, in context -- it was merely part of my point of de-emphasizing his purpose, by over-specifying who he is. I also never said the rioters respented the entire campus (thanks for ignoring the annotation).

I'm sorry you weren't smart enough to understand that.

  • @Jon I'm calling BullShit on that one!! So, when you say "Penn State is rioting" "Penn State, what the Fuck is your problem" you are speaking to the 2.5% of the Penn State Student Population? ohh Ok.. glad we can clear that up!

  • @tcarluc26 - Again, thanks for totally ignoring my annotation.

    Asshole.

  • @tcarluc26 and how much of that $300,000 went into covering up the fact that little boys have been being raped on your beloved campus. Jon speaks the truth here and he speaks for allot of people, I'd be willing to bet that there's a few at PSU that agree with Jon, but then their reps have been tarnished by the dickheads like you who'd support the guilty old men rather then the innocent little boys who's lives they've allowed to be destroyed for the past 10 years. FUCK YOU, YOUR A FUCKING IDIOT.

  • @MrPatF1 To even imply that the $ raised went to covering up a scandal is Idiotic, if you ever raised money through fundraising or under the name of a certain cause you would know that you must acquire a permit from the city & notify the national child abuse organization. I agree that some people would side with him, but to say I support the guilty is absurd, grow up! If you read my first post all i did was point out that people who decided to riot do not represent a majority of PSU students!

  • @tcarluc26 first of all my comment about the money raised was sarcasm, although a great deal of effort went into covering up the fact that this dirt bag was raping little boys right under PSU big wig's noses, and second your comments where clearly an attack on Jon and anyone else who where speaking out against PSU and poppa Joe, to imply that we don't know what we're talking about because we don't attend PSU is idiotic, we are speaking out against child rape, PERIOD,

  • @tcarluc26 Cont, I know how fund raising works, but what does the amount raised have to do with the rapes of these children being covered up by PSU fac, you seem to be as twisted as the students who protested Poppa's firing, you seem to think that somehow because Penn state raised money for support against child abuse it's ok to hide these rapes, don't twist or change any of what you said or stand for, you clearly support Poppa Joe here so you also support covering up these rapes. CLEARLY

  • @MrPatF1 I haven't twisted anything I said nor plan to. In no way shape or form do I or will I ever support child sex abuse...Im not even going to waste my time defending that!! And it is very difficult to explain the emotions of the Penn State Students if you are not one, just ask another student! if you have had someone in your family accused of child sex abuse then yeah you might know how we feel, but thats the closest you or anyone who isn't from PSU to understand how a PSU student feels!

  • @tcarluc26 IF YOU SUPPORT YOUR BELOVED COACH AND YOUR BELOVED PSU IN THE WAKE OF THEM GETTING CAUGHT COVERING UP CHILD RAPE THEN YES YOU SUPPORT CHILD RAPE, THAT SIMPLE. I don't care how much your school means to you, when they get caught of covering up child rape then that has to make a normal person angry, but you still defend them, don't give me that bullshit about what Penn State means to people that have gone there, is it a cult or a fucking school,

  • @tcarluc26 Cont, I'm not bashing Penn State or the entire PSU fac or student body, just the ones that are trying to defend the actions of those that did these disgusting things and the ones that covered it up for years, you and people talk of PSU as if GOD himself lives there, get over yourselves, CHILDREN HAVE HAD THEIR LIVES DESTROYED at PSU by a select few and that has tarnished what ever heavenly history PSU had and people like you that keep defending PSU through this are making it worse

  • Jon you have to do a video on the American Censorship Bill, it is so messed up

  • wtf penn state

  • that was awesome GO JON GO! I totally agree with what you said

  • @mysticknightskeale Wow....really? I seriously hope you're trolling here

  • @ConSmith1807 You can view it that way if you wish, I was just presenting another possibility. Of course I'd never condone rape, but people seem to think that children are unable to consent to anything, because they are too stupid.

  • @mysticknightskeale - God lord, you're a fucking idiot.

Who said it was rape? Everyone -- because the kids were under 16, which makes automatically statutory rape, you fool.

  • @Jon there's no such thing as statutory rape. Only the idea that kids have no intelligence or sexuality, which is ridiculous. Humanity used to exist in a time where boys and girls got married at 12-14, and had sex and children before 16. People have just become ignorant and scared of such a concept, therefore it simply no longer exists. There is so much shame in our current society.

  • @mysticknightskeale Really? No it's not that we've become scared. It just means we have progressed out of the dark ages, that were filled with ignorance!

  • @mysticknightskeale Time changes, things come and go. We think and grow and personally we start to figure things out like "Hey, having kids 12-14 get married and have sex is wrong and we should do something about it" So what I am saying is we didn't think about it when we back in those days because it was like Oh yeah this seems right, But now we figure out that its not so right.

  • @mysticknightskeale You sir, are fucked up.

  • @Jon block thos type of guys we dont want some one defending a petofile in here thos type of giys piss me off

  • @mysticknightskeale what u have said is not ok, i hope u were trying to pull a sick and twisted joke, cause this is really wrong

  • @mysticknightskeale How the hell could they LIKE it??? Scuse me but are you SANE???

  • @mysticknightskeale First of all I think your a fucking asshole, second I think that your trolling, third, if your not trolling then I hope you get it as bad or worse then these little boys did for years. YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT, you come on here and make this comment, "Who ever said it was rape? What if the boys liked it?" and then get upset because people attack you and say they shouldn't get upset with you, these were children , they got no enjoyment from this you stupid piece of shit

  • @mysticknightskeale there are laws for people over the age of 18 who have sex with 12 10 8 and 5 year olds and also LAWS ARE FUCKING LAWS SO DEAL WITH IT you pile of crap FUCK YOU Im 14 and geting raped in the ass dons not sound like enjoyment you fucking idiot rot in helll you pile of shit

  • My mom went to Penn State in the 80s and she is heartbroken over the entire situation.

  • How DARE you do exactly what you were obligated to in this situation!

  • i agree a child's innocence is a little more important than a football legacy. Don't get me wrong Paterno is amazing but i'm a parent and a child's innocence is the most important.

  • I respect the coach. He's a victim. Pedosexuality is natural like homosexuality. He should get off scott free and get his job back and be given a reward for being a total G. You guys just aren't progressive and tolerant like me.

  • Trying to hide it to protect yourself and your status is working the opposite i totally agree with you. If you published it, and said it happend and do something about it people will trust you. Instead of this, it's really just pathetic to hide it.

  • Jon don't pay any attention to these idiots who are trying to defend the coach getting fired they are completely missing the whole point of this story. Children were raped, and people are worried more about the reputation of a football coach. He waited a day to tell anyone instead of jumping all over it I don’t care if you could get fired for being wrong about it if children are in danger like this you get right on it.

  • Didn't hear about this but you're definitely right... I swear, people and their priorities. And people who don't care about human rights, the innocence of children, and things that should be common sense as human beings... This is just sad and ridiculous... I'm not even sure what I should say because this is just so not cool on like, a lot of levels... >.<

  • Send me your address so I can be sure to get you your cookie for hating.

  • I agree with like 99% of this.. but considering that they just bluntly fired him is what I don't like.. They should have just let the man finish his job, Yea you might say its not moral to not go tell somebody that something like this has happened, but he done his job. He's done nothing wrong, so they should have just let him finish His job as head coach... to me that's like I see somebody pirating software on a computer at school, and I tell somebody but nothing comes of it. What did I do wrong

  • @1995billy ...Are you comparing pirating software to raping 8 year olds? ITS THE RAPE OF LITTLE KIDS!

  • @DarkBlaze6 Sandusky done the molesting not Paterno. Paterno done his job, not sandusky. Paterno should not have been fired.

  • @1995billy You still equated the seriousness of rape to pirating software. While Sandusky did the deed, Paterno waited a full day to report on the rape, and in rape crimes every minute counts to making sure the evidence doesn't deteriorate.

  • @DarkBlaze6 But Paterno still.. didn't do anything wrong. As Jon said in the video, he done nothing wrong, but at the same time he has done nothing right. No reason to get punished for it.

  • @1995billy He did nothing wrong legally, but MORALLY he and this other coward McQueary is just as guilty as Sandusky IMHO, MORALLY they should have gone to the police right away and put a stop to this, but instead they chose to cover it up for years while God knows how many more little boys this SOB raped. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??? DO YOU HAVE NO SENSE OF RIGHT AND WRONG? we're talking about the rape of little boys here, CHILDREN, innocent little children, FUCK !!YPMMS

  • Apparently you don't know about Cognitive Dissonance Theory and the Bystander Intervention. That is the reason why people didn't call police and react the why you said they should.

  • Jon i have met you twice in New york and i find you very inspiring. Today in school in my A.P class we talked about this incident. I said ohh yeah Jonny Paula talked about that on youtube. people said who? i said someone on youtube. Then my A.P teacher told me to write about this incident for an essay. In my head i said Easy peasy lemon squeezy. And my teacher is going to look you up later on to see the video. Possible new subscriber? whatever. people in my school arnt cool enough to know u :)

  • Jon is completely right about everything he said. That's my opinion.

  • No argument there, man. Btw, what's your opinion about that Judge who was secretly videotaped beating his daughter a few years back? I almost cried when I first read that article on Yahoo! News.

  • This has nothing to do with this video but, does the new season of Movie Night start this Friday?

  • You know for someone who wants us to discuss in the comments why in the hell do you always attack your viewers? It's like it makes you feel good to put others down! Get the fuck over yourself Jon.

  • haha old man of the mountain

  • Jon, I'm with you on this one. Football's great and all but uh, these students make me not want to live on this planet anymore after such a stupid riot. :|

  • hey jon completely unrelated question, out of curiosity: what's your opinion about philip defranco?

  • Preach it brother! I am from Pittsburgh, Pa and my tax dollars supports that cesspool of a place. As when Rome fell at the end and the people cried give us ..circus ...circus... circus. Here in Soviet Amerika the people of PSU cried give us .....football..football...football...

  • I would have chop the raper's dick :D

  • clocked it over to 600 likes.

  • Once again, Jon, I agree with you. How could I not agree? Wow, this story is just disgusting and outrageous! I'm shocked about the negligent and nonchalant attitude of that bastard! They got off lightly, in my opinion! Jesus! Hell no, I wouldn't enroll my kids in a place that's run like that! Of course not! "Liked"!

  • @jeremyshaw DAMN FUCKING STRAIGHT!!

  • @shadowofallan Thank you! Amen! Preach it!

  • @shadowofallan Thanks, bro! It's nice to know that someone agrees with me, too and likes my comment!

  • Totally agree with you Jon, The world is running on Greed.

  • false consensus bias, biotch. Im sure you'd find that there are a decent amount of people who wouldnt agree with you.

Now, im not saying that what anyone did is "right." This is a fucked up situation and certianly there is blame to share but joe paterno did what he had to do. You cant expect more from him than that and you certianly cant go around preaching your holier-than-thou sentiment and just expect everyone in the world to go along with it.

  • Did you hear Sandusky said that he only hugged and touched a few kids on the legs but had nothing to do with them sexually? So IF and only IF he's found innocent, would JoePa come back to Penn State and maybe go one more season? lol

  • Um... was it revealed why he waited an entire day? I'm not trying to defend or attack anyone, I'm just asking if Paterno said why he waited an entire day before telling someone?

  • one of your best videos man and I mean that!

  • I agree with what you say Jon, but you mentioned Joe Paterno as "an 86 year old Italian man." Just curious, what does him being Italian have to do with everything? It doesn't seem to pertain.

  • You have the best youtube channel

  • I don't care how great Sandusky may have been. He stooped so low and it's absolutely despicable. It's disgusting.

  • the people how un liked it are probly cjild melestars

  • I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

  • I think it's important to remember that even as he was a rapist, Sandusky did great things for the community. Obviously, that all comes crashing down when you realize what he was really doing, but when the grad student told Paterno about the rape, Paterno had to have been confused as all hell.

We all think we would have done the right thing and called the police. But how many of us actually would, if we were really put in the situation that Paterno was put into?

  • @Jon You look like someone I know named Joey Paul

  • Jon i think your right and they do need to get over it

  • the water boy must have a hole you can fit a watermelon in.

  • It takes a rare person to intervene in a situation like that. A regular old joe just going about his business probably doesnt have the balls to do something like that. It's easy to persecute him after the fact, but the truth is, he still did what it was in his power to do, and that was tell someone. That is the standard, and intervening would have been going above the standard. He's not a hero, but he's not the villain either.

  • Comment removed

  • I completley agree with you.

  • I completely agree with you, Jon, and at my Christian viewpoint, this is also the result of idolizing someone. They'll let you down at some point, and when they do, Hell breaks loose.

  • problem is, he didnt see anything. To him, it was hearsay. He had the word of what a graduate assistant supposedly saw. He didnt see anything, how can he go to the police on hearsay?

  • @dmoney517 I completely agree!

  • @dmoney517 exactly, and he was probably fired by the same people that he told about the incident...... it's just a bunch of big corporate asshole trying to cover there asses because they didnt do anything about it 9 years ago when this Joe guy told them about it.... noo fucking say should this guy have gotten fired

  • @dmoney517 Because the kid that saw it can provide witness? Because the kids that were RAPED could provide witness?? As soon as he gets the cops in something can be done, say someone was yelling "rape" so you call the cops. Your not going to get introuble if they are lying, they will.

  • @deathpyre Ok, but again, If he responded to someone yelling Rape - he would be direct witness. In your scenario, it would be more like you hear someone yelling "rape", coming to me and saying, '"yo, I heard someone yelling rape in this ally, what should I do?" Why am i supposed to go to the cops? Thats your job as primary witness.

  • 3:58, haha, Jon, I was waiting for you to finally just lose it, I love your passion.

  • 3:58 my reaction exactly :P

  • I definitely agree. This needs to have been reported, like, when it happened by any and all witnesses. I mean, there's nothing I can add. I agree with everything you said, and you basically said it all, Jon.

  • This is why I don't play football, It all starts with showering with a bunch of other guys!

  • you know what jon.. i completely agree with you 100%. i can read from the comments not everyone agrees with you. but doing something the next day and not second you find out, to me, is the same as just ignoring it. and who cares if he got fired.. and as for that person who saw it happening.. really? you told on him? if that was me i would drop the rapist to the floor with a nice roundhouse.

  • Yeah, Joe didn't do more than tell his superior, but neither did Mike, and Joe's superiors didn't do ANYTHING. I fully agree with the fact that Joe being fired is not the problem, but why is he receiving the majority of the blame?

  • I very much agree with you on this, Jon. The legacy of Joe Paterno is pointless and meaningless when compared to the REAL issue-- the safety and welfare of the victims of this utterly heinous crime.

  • ur right and ur wrong he did tell his boss witch is what i would do and if he said he was going to handle it i would most likey say he is a goodish person i agree he should retire but he told his boss so i dont see why he should get fired he did not rape them and he told someone about it

  • @appleip - Because he didn't do enough to protect the students.

  • @Jon I agree, I'm a pussy when it comes to fighting but I'd take the a broom and beat the shit out of him if I saw kids being raped.

  • @appleip Joe Paterno did more than enough he told the president of the school, but he did not tell the police because he had no proof, and if it was a false accusation he would have been fired

  • but Jon, he had no proof. The problem stemmed from the grad student, HE should have gone to the police, i agree Joe Paterno should have told his boss sooner, but he didnt have any proof. If he told the police, and he was wrong, he would have been fired. He didn't know whether or not it was true, because if one of my friends came up to me and said he just saw a teacher raping a kid, i wouldnt believe him.

  • @randumbvids11 - It sounds like you're more worried about him being fired than 8 separate boys being raped on campus...

  • @Jon And it sounds like you are intolerant bigot and mad at the wrong man. Sounds like you just want to screw over any and everyone. Especially this old an old guy. You even say "He didn't do anything wrong". This video is obnoxious. Also way more people helped people out than rioted. And both were problems. With the evidence given, he should not have been fired.

He had second hand information. Could he have done more, yes. So what? You can do more about just about anything. No one's perfect

  • @Jon no, I'm am most worried about that, but I am also mad that he was treated unfairly, but I guess that is the way it works sometimes. People do the right thing and get in trouble. I still cannot believe that the grad student didn't go to the police about those poor boys.

  • @Jon I don't think he should be fired either. If that was me I would tell my superior boss and figure he would handle it. I wouldn't take the matter into my own hands

  • @Jon why did the 1st boy not say anything hes just ax guilty even though he was a victim

  • @Jon NO he does have proof isn't there suppose to be cameras in the school so the security guards can stop them

  • @djice2298 well im pretty sure the dont have cameras in the change room cause thats ilegal

  • @lisorerox oh i didn't know that

  • @randumbvids11 ARE YOU FUCKING NUTS, he had proof, this COWARD McQueary actually saw the pig raping the little boy (even if he is a coward that just walked away and did nothing) he told Paterno, so there's your proof, instead of doing the cover up Paterno should have taken this COWARD by the hand and gone to the police and told him to tell them what he saw, then these idiots protest Paterno being fired for covering up the multiple rapes of little boys, THEY MAKE ME SICK, SHAME ON PENN STATE

  • @MrPatF1 he had no proof because MCQUEARY COULD HAVE BEEN LYING! I agree that he should have taken the coward to the police and tell them, but that is at most what he could have done, morally and ethically, Paterno did what he had to do

  • @randumbvids11 who the fuck lies about rape????

  • @djice2298 maybe someone who wanted to get back at Sandusky for something, idiot

  • @appleip if you saw someone being killed, would you go tell your boss as opposed to trying to help the poor person being assaulted?

  • @Rurike the first well no i would tend to the person dieing and get some one to get a superviser and a ambulance i would still get a superviser but first of all he did nothing "wrong" he told some one would i have don something diffent maybe but i dont think he should get fired

note i hate sports so i dont really care about this person i feel that just how it should be

  • @appleip well yes, he mentioned he didnt do anything wrong, but he also didnt do anything right, also his words

  • Keep keeping it real Jon.

  • I would've loved to show this to my Government class on Friday. We had a huge debate over this subject and one kid couldn't let go of the "legacy". His priorities are obviously extremely flawed.

  • now considering an unsub. joe paterno wasnt just a football couch. ive been to penn state in person and read numerous books on the legacy of the team and the school in general. joe pa was an amazing person. he cared about the students as well as the team. according to the GOVERNOR, joe pa did exactly what he was supposed to do. im getting sick and tired of people saying shit when they dont know the true history of joe pa

  • @smtrop Okay, he did what he was supposed to do, but DID HE DO WHATS RIGHT? No.

  • @smtrop - Oh please, you sound just as brainwashed as those idiots who rioted last week. He's just a guy... a guy who made a terrible mistake, and he needs to pay for it. I'm not saying he's a bad guy -- but he doesn't deserve to keep his job either.

Stop crying over a fucking coach when 8 boys were raped.

  • @Jon The thing is, and it seems a lot of the media is over looking. McQuery originally told Paterno, he saw Sandusky doing something inappropriate. Not outright raping the boy, he changed that up and now take that as the fact. Where Paterno remained in saying, even before a Grand Jury, as to what he did. And was clear of any wrong doing. He was fired because of the media outcry, the man was retiring in literally 3 weeks. And the Board of Trustees fired him to appease the media, plain and simple.

  • Well said Jon. I live in Pennsylvania and have heard nothing over the past week but talk about this situation and no one ever mentions the horrible things done to those poor kids. It is all about who should be fired and why. It is horrible that this behavior was simply overlooked by the school staff. Other kids many not have suffered had they put a stop to it right away.

  • I am being totally honest right now, Jon. You've become one of my favorite youtubers. Not only going on detail on a scandal but also debating it from both points of views plus of course your personal opinion. I admire this because a lot of channels do the same but after a while there is a pattern in their reactions which seems a little static, unlike you which stands out from the crowd. Keep up the good work and the viewers will keep rising.

  • i am from PA i live about 2 hours away from State College and me and my family are Penn State fans and i am very sad to see joe pa leave but there is nothing i can do or anything and sides he was gettting up there in years and needed to be let go and all that but what i am mad about is other ppl knew and yet they didn't do shit to them there should have been more ppl to get fired....who know maybe there was and they didn't say shit about it but anyway Joe he did what he thought was right...

  • People make me sick. Caring more about a simple game, than children. Thats terrible. If I had a child in the Penn State Program he would be removed and I would stop supporting. Everyone rioting about it makes me sick.

  • jon was one of the boys in the locker room!!

  • I agree 100%

  • Great rant, Jon...I couldn't agree more.

  • money raised for victims of child abuse. So maybe the media needs to wake up and focus on the real news not the fact that some man was fired, but the fact that soo many children were hurt my this monster.

  • perhaps @ bladenit09...its not what the students of Penn State are focused on, as he mentioned the firing of Joe Paterno, and not so much on the innocent victims, its what the news channels focus on, I saw footage over and over again of the riots going on and yet nothing about this candlelight vigil or about the (to be continued)

  • I forgot to mention...we raised over $22,000 dollars at the game on Saturday for vicitms of child abuse. Just thought you should know that Jon, since you seem to think we don't give a damn at all about the victims...which we do. We care a whole lot. I think we showed that nicely Friday night.

  • Way to completely ignore the Candlelight Vigil we did for the victims...you know, there were 11,000 students there...and only about 2,000 at the riots. Yeah, you're right, we definitely don't care about the victims.
