I am hooked on the late George Howard’s music. I cannot stop listening to his music. I am going to go out and buy his CDs today. Do I Ever Cross Your Mind is my favorite. Thanks for posting. RIP George we are still enjoying your music.
I can still remember when this song came out by this artist. I loved it then and i still love it even better now. God bless you George Howard. I will always love this song as well as the artist. irvinbean123
I remember this song being played on my quiet storm station here in the Bay Area back in the early 90s. This was a great song, then poof I stopped hearing it played on the radio. Six or seven years later Brian McKnight comes out with Anytime and I always thought Brian plaguerized the hook to this song. Listen to both song and there's almost, but not quite a similarity. Still, to me this song owns...RIP GEORGE HOWARD. Thanks for the post.
@simpsoy - Not only did Brian 'borrow' the hook. He 'borrowed' the melody for Anytime from Me'Shell Ndegeocello's Outside your door. Clever guy that Brian, surefire way to ensure Anytime would be a hit.
@simpsoy - I remember The Quiet Storm out there, I used to listen to it at night, when I was in high school. Was it still KBLX in the early 90's? I know it's now the oldies R&B station there, since KDIA became defunct, and KSOL began playing a different genre.
Yeah, Brian McKnight's hook is almost identical.
In the early or mid 90's, there was a George Howard video of him walking along a beach, playing a fluegelhorn. Does anyone know the name of the song for that video?
He was out the same time with Kenny G was out. Back then they shoved Kenny down our throats,George was pushed to the side. That's why people know Kenny more than George. Conduct your own survey.
