no. Tune slower and they won't snap. You are putting to much tension on the strings too fast. Slow it down and you'll be fine

keep your guitar a half step low or a full step. The open c goes down, and the b string is brought up a semi-tone if i'm not mistaken. its a lot of fun too. check out busted bicycle by leo kottke and some others.

I made up a version in standard tuning. Doesn't sound as good and full as the DADGAG tuning. I loved this song as a kid and made up the standard tuning version because at the time I didn't know Jimmy retuned his guitar. Also, VW1971, loved this classic guitar version...PEACE.

The correct tuning for the song is CACGCe, low to high. Same as for the song "Friends". Use third fret on A string to tune D string to C, then match low E to that. The rest should be pretty easy.
