Recently read your article on Skratchworx covering the CDX. I recently found a deck sans vinyl album and silver album cap. When I power on the unit, the time code light doesn't light up but the unit powers up fine. The turntable itself doesn't spin but when I click on the stop motor button, the cd plays fine. Was this a known issue with the unit or am I missing something? Does the unit require the silver album cap to run the turntable? I really appreciate the advice!
i have a numark cdx... and i once hada vinyl turntable. I can tell u that the numark cdx is so much more convenient and alot less expensive music wise not havin 2 buy alotta vinyl + it feels like vinyl. Yes mine glitches every once in a while but in my opinion its alot better
The CDX is a great deck. but they tend to break down after heavy use, but i have never had trouble when i owned the CDX, but i traded mine for a pair of Vextax PDX 3000's, but for the CD DJ i would get a CDX
are these cdx reliable and trouble free? i see that this vid is two years old and wandering if there were any issues with this deck? considering getting getting them. any comment? anyone.
To all watching this video....Do not get the Numark CDX turntables!!! They are defective!!! After you buy them they stop working, and if u get them fixed they break down over, and over again. Don't waste your money. Buy Technic 1200 Turntables They are the best! Dj Cas. Lawrence Kansas
I was referring to the 1200 turntables for vinyl..they can always be used with serato if u don't want to play records. But if vinyl is not your thing i guess the pioneer CD players are good. I don't know.....i've never used them, but i haven't heard bad things about them like with the Numarks. CAS.
No, I have one and the vinil on the top is just to feel the realism of a vinil record. I really recomend that cd player. I'm a dj in a rapers tour in Florida and I always used the cdx and never makes any trouble. I heard about some issues with other cdx owners but this is not my case.

what the fuck ever....or you could man up and buy some real fucking Decks . Not these gay little Numark fag decks. My little kid could be a scratch king in 5 min with these stupid things.
It comes from Roonie G's Mixxing Link CD. I just looped it for the demo. But track down Dynamix 2's "just Give the DJ a Break" or Dirtstyle's Deluxe Shampoo Breaks for a full side of this type of thing.
Dude do not buy these pieces of crap!!!! yeah the look great work great.......at first. Once you start having problems with them not accepting cd's or locking up and numark tells you to BUY the better drive from them at $100 bucks you'll be pissed like I am. save you money up and buy some Pioneer cdj whatever. You'll be much happier.
of couse you could always bypass the platter sensor like i do. My Numark TTXusb problem days are all gone. No more smacking the platter everytime you turn em on to go.
