if you read the relevant chapter in Curtis Roads' Computer Music Tutorial, the allpass filter blurs sharp transients, without colouring the spectrum (as a comb-filter might)
@ronnie9253 Yeah i got what allpass filter is in general. I'm talking about that specific one used in the reverb - e.g equation, signal flow. Cos you explained the one at 2:50 quite extensively and then you're saying "nevermind lets use that one" :) is the equation smth like y(n) = x(n) + 0.5(0.5x(n)+y(n-?))
where the sound? the first tut was great, the last threes are rather dull because there's no voice over. What a pity. can you fix this up or alternatively get us the patch direct?
Hi, you're right, i've been planning to update this for a while, with a new improved grain-synth. I'll get round to it soon; if you want this patch however you can DL it from the cycling74 Max forum
and also the equation please:)

Thank you very much for the great tutorial. Can you please explain a little bit the all-pass filter used in the reverb

disclaimer
some helpful people have pointed out that the minimum delay time achievable with [tapout~] is restricted to the MSP signal vector size......
ronnie9253 1 year ago
@ronnie9253 interesting - smaller vectors are smaller delay times or what?

this is really well explained thanks very much
