  • HITLER MARCH

  • @Disturbedpattern It's called a goose step :P

  • He just kicked me in the nuts!!!

  • Reminds me of something that should have been in WALL-E.

But, do you know how hard it is to make a biped robot, let alone one that DOESNT shuffle about on the floor?

    Good job.

  • Haters gonna hate.

That's all I can think of when I see this.

  • That's amazing! COngratulations!!! That is a huge accomplishment.

  • @agolosha What the hell.

  • can you send me the instructions???

  • ROFL

  • THAT'S NOT RUNNING, THAT'S FAST WALKING, AND YEAH IT LOOKS LIKE IT'S DOING THE GOOSE STEP

  • Hitler robot

  • Walking and speed walking; it appears that one leg is always planted (and technically not a run).

  • its a walking fast robot!

  • Et sans se cassé la guele 1 fois g g^^ nazi robots xd !

  • I suppose this robot is applicable to register at the Ministry of Silly Walks.

  • He is co-founder

  • it looks like a guy trying to squeeze his ass cheeks together cause hes really gotta go lol

  • Hella goose stepping, I really like the fact its so elegantly mechanical though

  • hahah that made mo lol (:

  • nazi robot

  • Hi, this is very impressive!! Did you do it yourself?

  • this robot needs toe joints, even the ankle joints are not working in this robot, resulting in funny walking.

  • @simhopp all funny, till it gets its orders from skynet

  • @simhopp we know.

  • walks more like a chicken rather than a human =]

  • It's an awesome robot, but I wouldn't call it running. :L

  • In order to run, both feet have to be off the ground at the same time when something strides. This thing always has one foot on the ground.

  • Not very convinced that the robot is able to even stand on its own.

It is apparently relying on the guiding arm for support.

  • Very nicely done, only thing else i can say its not running but walking faster.

Running is a different movement of the legs, and between steps both feet should NOT touch the ground.

But all in all very nice.

  • @xXMadTXx LAWLZ!

  • put some rims on it LOL

  • that's walking, not running.

  • haha i thought of the wrong trousers too :P

  • haha, wallace and gromets wrong trousers!!!!

  • ooks like my mate chris from work running

  • Look at the little motherfucker go! :DD

  • Good work. Make several of them and freak everybody out on halloween.

  • WTF! it looks like a nazi robot from HITLER!!! haha lols!!

  • lol, i am building a running robot for my Masters program, so i have to explain the arm part all the time...

and yes, i am a huge robot geek.

  • When you can walk like that, who the hell needs running?!

  • its the new cracker robot

  • looks like he likes to walk

  • OMGROFLMAOBBQ!!!!11!twelve!

  • ROFL XD

  • Its walking fast not running. One foot is always in contact with the ground!

  • Make the robot smarter by making it climb on to an electric bike

  • let me clarify the arm support part. This robot cannot walk without the arm because it is a PLANAR WALKER. it is meant to walk only in the forward vertical plane, with no side to side motion or rotation. Most early studies in walking robots are planar walkers, and they are very very useful, since the forward motion is more interesting, not the side to side motion.

ALSO this robot is not running. at all. it is walking damn nice tho.

  • clarification 2.0

the robot is a planar walker, but it actually walks on a spherical surface around the arm attachment point. this is a good and often used aproximation for a planar walker, and it is used by most researchers.

planar walkers are good because they allow cheap robots which can test exotic and interesting control techniques for running or walking.

full 3D robots are much more difficult and expensive, but not much more interesting to study...

  • @VRagusila Thank you for the clarifications! My friend is paraplegic and has to use a wheelchair. Can something like this be used to enable him to walk again? Kinda like a strap on "exoskeleton"?

Where can I find the schematics and code for this amazing walker?

  • Man,give it a swastica emblem and give it a hand to raise and you got yourself a bionic NAZI lmao. It walks like a frickin NAZI!

  • It walks like an angry kid :P

  • LOL! XD

  • y does it say running robot if the robot iz walking

  • What is this a soldier marching for the German army?

  • y do u keep seeing the same background over n over...

  • It is turning around, this robot is maintained by an arm.

  • how do you make it turn right or left ?

  • Well, not running but walking fast lol... I think for a real running robot (legs structure similar to human) it would be some kind of weight shifting device on top to keep it's balance

  • Walks like me when im nervous

  • It went from walking to power walking!

  • haha, its just a-truckin

  • This would make some grear legs for a robot.

  • its connected to a guide arm. lame. post another video when it doesnt need help standing.

  • read the description...

  • that description is new. it wasnt there when i posted my last comment. also that thing wouldnt be standing for long without support. its too rigid and its movements are too spastic.

  • kk, soz...

    not bad goin tho...

  • yeah we solved it. the Nazis were idiot robots.

  • LOL!!!!

  • can it run faster then chuck norris?

  • No way! No one, or thing, can run faster than Chuck Norris. True story, God and Chuck Norris once had a foot race before time began. Chuck not only won the race by a long shot, but created so much heat and energy that his cowboy boots exploded thus creating the universe. Physicists call this event the "big bang"

  • lol.....

  • @mastershake9801 ROFLMAO!

  • Comment removed

  • it's 2008 and you're still making chuck norris jokes

  • chuck norris FACTS are timeless. just like eyebrow piercings and delta force sequels.

  • You call this NAzi walking robot running

  • geez my feet get tire just by watching this robot lol

  • walk on freaky robo bro awsome lol

  • lol but look at the last stage of it's acceleration it moves it's legs faster but it actually moves slower... this resolution may be good with walking but running u should leave to robots that can keep balance while standing on 1 feet couse when u run u stand for a while on one feet and quickly move to another so that both of them don't touch the ground- that's running...

  • LOL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow

  • Might want to put some WD-40 on them knees. They sound a little rusty.

  • nice job. way to keep it real out in the field.

  • That's pretty impressive. It's nice to see that there are at least a few people working more for speed and realism than perfecting balance.

  • not running. one of the feet is always touching the ground.

  • Thats not running... thats stupid walking !!

  • I know what running looks like and thats not running. I wish it falls and breaks both its stupid legs !!

  • I thought it would be running... but thats not running!

  • how fast it moved at the end with smooth synchronisation of movement, without losing balance actually is classed as running,Fast walking is when one foot at any one time is in contact with the the surface,That bot wasn't actually joging was it?

  • HAHA! as opposed running when your feet NEVER TOUCH THE GROUND OOOOOOOH!!

  • to be fair it did run as it actually left the floor. Very intelligent, Was it self learning that circuit?

  • xD it looks like a cappy bioncle made by legos.

  • Can i please get one to amuse my cats? well okay... not amuse per se.... :-P

    very nice.

  • im dizy !!!! =(

  • Walks like a Nazi.

  • LOL

  • Hilarious...that robot is a piece of shit lol nah...i'm just F-in wit ya...i'm sure it was hard to do...but that was not running...imagine that thing chasing you!

  • So when will it start to run? This just fast walking

  • yep its definitely the wrong trousers

  • > nah, its probably mostly used to keep

    > it upright. Your probably bias. Trust me.

I didn't build the thing, so I don't really care. But, if I remember correctly, the original builder said it could walk on it's own with only a cord to provide electricity (it doesn't have any onboard power).

    > Trust me.

Why would I trust a total stranger?

  • From the description:

"There is a guiding arm in this particular demonstration, but it is only to direct the robot around in a circle and not to keep it upright."

So, IOW, someone is grabbing the pole on its head (that sounds dirty). It's still a walking robot, though.

  • I have a feeling my cat would be a bit frightened by this 'bot.

  • Power walking

  • speedwalking robot, for running to take place, both feet must leave the ground, almost at a jump before making impact with the floor again. Otherwise, very very good job!

  • note it's on a boom that restricts its motion to a plane. Full 3D walking or running is much harder. Believe me I know.

  • lmfao,cool

  • jaja its kind of funny but pretty cool

  • its the wrong trousers grommit!!!

  • Run!! it's robot hitler! lol but seriously it is cool that they have made a walking bipedal robot, only problem is that is costs too much, requires too much power to operate and walking is an 'art' that requires a full body to move fluidly.

  • you should call it reletivly fast walking robot

  • yeah or something else in that type of stanza

  • That's not running though. It's walking fast, very fast at the end there. Running is interesting. It is actually consecutive jumping. Think about it. Both feet leave the ground at the same time in running.
